I won't lie, this story is a good idea. But your execution of the idea have several problems, in my opinion. First of all, I think sasuke only went with the sound 4 to being with was because he ran out of ideas to get strong in the village. If he didn't have the fight with naruto on the roof, he wouldn't have had his ego harmed enough to take such drastic measures as leaving the village for power. Second of all, your idea of neji dying during sasuke retrieval mission was going in the og naruto until kishimoto's editors had it changed to make them live instead. Third of all, Kabuto showing up to.get sasuke is a bs twist. There is NO REASON for kabuto to be there. Not to mention, him showing up at the END of the fight. If you wanted sasuke to succeed in escaping naruto, then have him win and leave. Don't have him lose and get somebody to show up just to knock naruto out and take sasuke away. That plot point is to get sasuke to escape capture, while still losing. There is a reason why nobody does type of plot point, it is because they don't want the valley of the end fight become POINTLESS by having sasuke lose but still get away. The valley at the end fight is TOO ICONIC for it to become POINTLESS.
