What if Nobunaga Refused the Genma's Power? (Onimusha What-If)

Out of every historical figure featured in Onimusha, there are none quite as influential as Nobunaga Oda. His decision to ally with the Genma practically kickstarted the entire storyline, leading to him influencing events in almost every game.
So what would have happened if Nobunaga actually refused to strike a deal with the Genma and refused their power? How could the fight between the Oni and Genma be resumed if he didn't give them the chance to resurface through the Dark Ceremony?

I have to say this, i love this new twist of your story, still following its orginal purpose but allowing an orginal side of story in it, felt the story reinvigorated this way, awesomely executed

Another absolutely brilliant scenario. The inclusion of the Oda civil war and Nobutado's disillusionment with his clan adds an interesting touch to the original storyline, I quite like seeing more of the Sengoku politics playing a role.

@Danish the Penguin IMHHO this was an incredible storyline and it would be awesome to see a fan-made remake game or series of games based on your storyline. It would be phenomenal to see Capcom give us a triple A version however we know large developers/publishers like Capcom don't use fan made stories regardless of how good they are. Marvelous work sir.

I'm one of those Onimusha fans still hoping for a live action while Takeshi Kaneshiro is till alive. He's in his 50s and can play an older Samanosuke

Many thanks! Don't worry, I'm not stopping any time soon. I'm currently in the middle of editing the next What-If scenario with at least one more in the pipeline, but given how long these videos can be, as well as juggling it with irl stuff, it can take longer than I'd like to get them finished and uploaded. I will likely be covering the Netflix series when it comes out too, whenever that may be somce we have no solid release date. Here's hoping that it does indeed give Onimusha the researgence it deserves

What I never understood as a teen taking Japanese history class was; Wasn't Nobunaga very tolerant to Christianity? Not outright supporting it but for his own gain and glory? Why the F would he side pagan religion that involved demons or some kind of mysticism to lose support of the Jesuits?
