Bruh, Dirk got role players for years. Made it to finals twice and won once with no all-star teammate on those finals apperances. So any help from an all-star would easily be championship or finals. Specially Pierce still on his prime

.Finley left in free agency to the Spurs before the 05-06 season. He won a chip with the Spurs in 07. We beat them in the playoffs in 06 (Terry was suspended for punching Finley in the nuts). Pierce would not have played with Finley.

Paul Pierce with them would of been nasty with my hometown team. We was a mid range shooting team too. We got hot behind the arc. Mavericks was golden state before curry warriors. My Mavericks came from 20 and 30 point deficits. 4 times 2005-07

I love both guys but honestly I don't think they're playstyles complement - they're too alike. I think it's the opposite of what made the pierce/garnett pairing great- where garnett was a big who had some wing skills and vice versa

What you mean Dirk was like KG offensively but even better. Only thing KG has over Dirk is defense. Pierce & Dirk can take turns posting up at the midpost & dominant teams that way. Also Dirk’s midrange was way better than KG & Dirk can pick & pop for midrange. Also Dirk got the 3 ball which KG doesn’t have which the Mavs would’ve had great spacing with Pierce & a stretch 4 like Dirk on the floor together. That team would’ve fit better & had more success than KG Pierce. Dirk was a beast offensively & was clutch. Pierce was clutch too & had an arsenal

Dirk like to take over the game in the 4th just like Pierce unlike KG who would defer in the 4th. Dirk didn’t have all the post moves but the few post moves he had where unstoppable. All Dirk had was the faceup jumper & the 1 legged spin fadaway in the post but those two moves were unstoppable especially the 1 legged shot that gave him great separation from his defender & u couldn’t contest it. Last time Dirk faced the Timberwolves in the playoffs in 03, Dirk cooked KG. Dirk cooked Lamor Odom & Gasol in the 2011 playoffs, so you telling me Dirk couldn’t do the same to the Lakers in 08, 09 & 2010, come on now you underrating Dirk. Dirk operated at the elbow more than KG which is harder to double on him. KG had a good midrange but Dirk had the most elite midrange & Dirk was simply the most efficient midrange shooter in the 2000s with the highest volume of midrange and Dirk spaced the floor better with the 3. KG was more physical & wouldn’t allow a smaller wing like Stephen Jackson to lock him down like what happen to Dirk in the 07 playoffs but Dirk brings more to the table offensively than KG. I feel Pierce & Dirk offensively would be so great & Pierce was a great 3 point shooter who was a career 37% 3 point shooter on decent volume & was crafty like a Harden to get to the free throw often, Pierce kind of had an analytical game back then even though his bread & butter was midrange. I feel your underestimating Dirk

Dirk never had a player at the caliber of Pierce. Dirk could’ve beaten the Spurs in 03 with just Nash if it wasn’t for Dirk’s knee injury. Dirk was special man & teams were still behind the curve on how to guard stretch bigs like Dirk who had the ability to shoot the 3 & that would more of a matchup nightmare for the opposition with both Pierce & Dirk

He still put up 26 ppg in one season, was an all star more than half his career, for 9 years put up over 20 a game. Was also one of the best 3pt shooting wings for that time constantly shooting over 37% from 3. Even hit 40% a couple of times. Once he hit 40% on 6 attempts in 02'!!! You Said he didn't shoot over 50%, yet Kobe, a top 10 player, never shot over 47%. Dumb critique. Like I said you didn't watch pierce. If you wanna say you don't like him, that's fine, but don't sit here and act like he was some bum. BTW it's MUCH more spacious now. That's why demar looks better, but put him back in the 2000s his FG% would drop tremendously.
