And thank you to both you and Ian. For calling out scumbags and the weird shenanigans concerning the Amico, WATA, NFTs etc. And for just being unafraid to give your honest opinions on things and have *real* conversations. You're unapologetically yourselves and I've always appreciated that. Who knew that a couple of drunken podcasters and gaming racists could make a difference in so many people's lives 👏

This really was a special episode of the CUPodcast. I'm glad that I could be along for this ride for so many years. A lot of things have changed for me since the first time I started watching these segments, and it's just wild that this is kind of the end of an era. This is one of the best podcasts. You two keep it real and that's hard to find now. I know it can be tiresome but hopefully the weekly podcast comes back someday in one way or another. Maybe with either one of you and another guest (if one of you wants to take a break for the week/month) using the same or even a different format. I'd love for you to have James Rolfe or any of your friends on a show, heck even Frank on a podcast would be hilarious! Thanks again for everything! I know it's not "the end" but I'm gonna miss the weeklies so much.

Gonna miss having the podcast regularly, especially after tuning in every day for 8 years. I was 13 when I started listening in spring-ish 2015, just at the tail end of 8th grade and Im 21 and 3 years into uni now. It was nice to hear Ian mention that the best thing I could say was that you guys got me through crappy shifts considering I primarily listened to you during my overnight stocking job and yeah you guys really did help a lot. Kinda regretting never trying to get a voicemail in now though

I heard the Ric Flair clip of him confronting Bischoff and I couldn't resist imagining him saying that to Tommy Tallarico lol. I like that it made you guys laugh. The Pain Elemantal is the worst regular enemy in DOOM b/c he is the only enemy that spawns other enemies if he is alive or dies. The Arch-vile is a nasty enemy to fight. He can resurrect dead enemies and kill you from any place on the screen, but he can't make other enemies like the PE can. The Revenant would be my #3. Thanks guys I can't wait for your special episodes in the near future. Much love from the glass city!!!!

Man I think I started listening around episode 35 or so, and then going back and catching up around the 50 mark, and to see this go on for so long and cover so many different topics was always such a treat. Thanks for everything you guys do, I cant wait for the specials and the new projects that come next. I guess Its time I jump into extra napkins now, just for some more Ian voice. This was the only "video game centric" podcast I listen to other than Small Bean's "1upsmanship", but that only covers a specific game at a time. This was the perfect podcast that came along after Screwattack folded, and Sidescrollers ended, to continue that great banter between friends that covers games and other fun topics, without being heavy handed or being a hype/advertising arm for new releases. Does anyone have any suggestions for other solid gaming/culture releated podcasts that cover similar topics? Doesnt necessarily have to be retro gaming focused, but I definitely care more about them and the surrounding news over anything that just wants to talk about the latest AAA games and ignore social issues or problems that companies like Ubisoft and Activision are creating for people

Great send off guys. Sad that these are ending, but happy for where both of you have ended up. Ian in a job he seems genuinely stoked about, and Pat taking off in his authorial endeavors. Proud to say Pat wrote what would become a present for my brother… still need to get off my butt and order the SNES volume for him too. And to Ian’s point about being happy to hear you guys where often a listeners shining light… yes! I can’t count the number of times you two have made me laugh, and that, being able to make someone laugh and just snap out of their head and just be trapped in an amusing moment for a second is the best gift you could’ve given any of us.
