Android 16 can calculate power levels. He would have suggested 18 not to fight Piccolo. However, with the egos of the Androids they would not have believed him. However, as the fight went on and they’d realize that 16 was telling the truth, I’m sure 17 would have stepped into the fight. Though how much weaker is 18 than 17? Android 18 didn’t seem particularly impressed with the fight from what I recall. She was impressed with the Semi-perfect cell vs Grade 2 SSj1 Vegeta fight though. So perhaps 18 isn’t as weak as we all think and she’d give Piccolo a good fight?

I've been saying that forever, they just assume that 18 was just too weak. These are the same fans who once said Piccolo was stronger than 17 some still say that today. 18 wasn't impressed by the fight at all and she wasn't that far below 17 in terms of power. Weaker yeah but he couldn't just beat her ass like cell did piccolo. Let's remember their fighting styles are also different, both androids didn't even use energy blasts during either of their fights. Piccolo and Vegeta did, they were trying to kill the androids the androids weren't trying to kill them. The power gap between 17 and 18 was so small it's barely worth mentioning. In The History of Trunks 18 actually holds her own better than 17 and is seen often jumping in to help when 17 is in a tough spot. 18 was much more of a strategic fighter than 17, 17 was hot headed and liked to mess around,18 often toys around but reads the fight and knows when to get serious,so once she saw Piccolo was trying to kill her she would've played it smart. Assuming she doesn't have that barrier isn't reason enough to believe the Hellzone Grenade would land, if you have infinite energy you can unleash a selection of energy attacks to counter it. If it comes down to it 18 would buy time causing Piccolo's energy to run out. Both 18 and Piccolo are smart figjters, I do think the fight would've been different,but in the manner of HOW they fought,it would've most likely been a chess like match,instead of a brute punch out like 17 and Piccolo. There is no way 18 would've been taken out immediately like this video claims,sorry.

Nothing would change, 18 and 17 weren't too far off in power from each other, plus, 17 goes for a head on tactic in a fight, whilst 18 prefers to tire her opponent out, as for Cell, he wouldn't have absorbed 18, as we see in the show 16 got in Cell's way before he could absorb 17 and threw Cell underground, Cell then rose behind 17 and absorbed him, he chose to absorb 17 and I think I know why, if 17 is stronger than his sister then it would only make sense, in fact, it gives Cell more of a reason to absorb 17 because he wouldn't have been damaged from the fight, also, 18 isn't as reckless as her brother and would likely run away before being absorbed. So yeah, there would literally be no difference except for the fact that Semi-Perfect Cell would most likely be stronger due to 17 never being damaged.

First off android 18 can create a force field. It's literally just a ki barrier abs 17 is not the only one to use it. Its a relatively basic move. We also have to take into account the way both Androids fight, as 17 is more head-on while 18 would drain her opponent before finishing them off. Both Piccolo and 18 would be heavily injured after fighting but during this time Piccolo had the edge when it came to destructive capabilities. The fight would have played out drastically differently and outcomes would have changed. Piccolo would win but would be in no shape to fight afterwards as he could have beaten 17 also who ran from the light grenade instead of putting up his barrier. 16 is the only clear winner of the Androids. 18 may have been suppressed but she was still relavant to 17 when it came to power overall.

I think Piccolo would have taken her down. After he merged with Kami, he got a huge boost. Now if he continued the fight I still think he still could have taken 17. I know he was showing signs of fatigue, but Piccolo is a tactician and is aware of the infinite stamina. 17 would be a victory by a slim margin. 18 would be more assured.

How about this for a piccolo story, what if piccolo, after absorbing kami, still was never truly a super namek like he thought he was? What if in order to become whole, a true super namek, he has to absorb his dad the demon king piccolo? Also since Frieza got stronger in hell, they could say king piccolo has been training in hell this entire time. Watching piccolo get stronger he felt he wanted to keep up with his son. After fighting the universe 6 namekians in the tournament of power piccolo thinks to himself he needs to get much stronger or else gohan would leave him in the dust. How can he fight beside him if he's too weak to keep up, right? He goes to namek to see his ppl and train and they teach him more about the namekian ways to make him a better fighter and that's when they realize he has to absorb his father in order to become whole. By the time Cell interrupted Piccolo vs 17 im pretty sure the stamina problems would have played a role in Piccolo either eventually losing to 17 or simply stalemating him. Just looking at the page at 4:02 and recently watching your video of Gohan's Z sword training being a metaphor for grappling with his new manhood and romance and Goku's fatherly passing of the torch, I wonder now if Vegeta battling with 18 was a symbol of him grappling with his budding relationship with women, since his relationship with Bulma would be imminent and he would have to settle down a bit from his warrior mentality and lifestyle and be open to love and family for once. Cell told Vegeta that he possessed 17s power in *addition* to his own. Vegeta was able to mop the floor with semi perfect cell with no difficulty, but once he absorbed 18 (addition) he demolished Vegeta in 4-5 blows and he wasn't even going all out. Also, if you pay close attention, 17=semi cell and 18=perfect cell personality wise. Like 17s vs Piccolo, semi cell vs vegeta involved cell coming off as arrogant, easily frustrated and constantly trying to convince himself that what was happening cannot possibly be happening. Like 18 vs vegeta, perfect cell enjoyed toying with vegeta and mocking his saiyan pride because he knew he was stronger. I have a theory that cells abilities and knowledge is derived from those whose cells make him up e.g. Piccolo, Vegeta, Frieza. While his personality and power comes from the androids he absorbs. Given what I have just said here, I don't think the power gap between 17 and 18 is all that big of a difference. In fact, 18 volunteered to fight Piccolo since 17 was taking too long or perhaps she wanted to toy with piccolo the way cell toyed with vegeta. This is all despite the fact that she has just saw Piccolo briefly get the better of 17 and heard 16 claim Piccolo was 17s equal twice. Verdict: I think we can all agree Piccolo had at least a minor advantage against 18 in terms of raw power. However, if you pick up on the similarities between 18 and perfect cell, I could easily see a fight between 18 and Piccolo being similar to Cell vs Goku.

Surreality I never said Perfect Cell and Android 18 had the same goals or desires, only that they're personalities were similar, particularly during his fight with Vegeta. You can't deny that Cells personality changed with each transformation. All I did was make the connections by re-watching the fights between 18 vs vegeta and cell vs vegeta. Perfect Cell in his entirety, is Cell + 17 + 18 w/cells from Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, etc. You could say Cells true personality is that of his imperfect form.

My unpopular take is that Android 18 should have been the main antagonist of the show. I really think the Cell Saga is the weakest portion of DBZ; which sucks because everything involving time travel and the androids works so well. I believe that Gero should have stopped his series with 16 17 and 18; 18 would basically be what Android 13 was in his own movie. I only like Imperfect Cell, but Toriyama just made him a budget Frieza with each subsequent transformation. So I think a Super 18 would have been more interesting for several reasons; one being a human would be the main threat in DBZ over another alien.

Sorry, but those two are not even close to being the same. So ya, Android 18's clothes got a little singed, but that is the most that can be said that Vegeta ever did, in that encounter; he still got his ass handed to him, with very little effort. Now, if Vegeta was able to physically injure 18, in some capacity, and not just ruin her clothes, then you could make the argument that Super Piccalo could do more, but that was never shown to be the case. At no point in the fight, between Vegeta and Android 18, that any of Vegeta's blows, even when they hit, hurt Android 18, in any capacity. And if that was not enough, 18 has infinite stamina, just as 17 does; so even if Piccalo was able to land in some hits that had impact, like he did with 17, he would still tire out, while 18 would be at full capacity, just like 17. So, the fact that "heavily damaged outfit" means absolutely nothing, coupled with infinite stamina, means the outcome would not have changed.

I havnt watched the video yet just the intro and I wanted to state my opinion before to see how it matches up I know 18 is by all rights weaker than 17 but at this point it's not like it's by a huge margin. But even though she's weaker I actually think piccolo would have a much harder fight on his hands because she doesn't mess around like 17 and to some extent piccolo himself does. She's more likely to go in to win as she doesn't particularly enjoy combat not like others in the series. And she's more likely to quickly start dealing disabling and decisive blows. I think the fight would be over before cell got there and really the winner is gonna be the person who gets that huge blow in and tbh.. I think 18 woulda won. But if that was the case the timeline really wouldn't change much but killing 18 would change EVERYTHING especially now in super

Do you know what I have never understood? All the hype behind the power of Android 16 being awakened. Dr. Hero was all like “if we awaken 16 the whole Earth will be destroyed and no one can stop him”; however, Android 16 was by far the most obedient of all the Androids (only caring about his mission to kill Goku, and nothing else of violent nature). Not only that, but he was by far the most peaceful, and only ever fought, pitifully, to guard 18 from Cell. He never showed astounding strength either, based on feats both 18 and 17 fought off many powerhouses of the series with ease (Vegeta, Piccolo, Trunks, etc), and the one time he did fight, against Cell, he was entirely pitiful. 16 ultimately made almost no difference in the series, besides his little talk with Gohan; I simply cannot understand all his hype, or even why Toriyama ultimately even included him. I don’t really hate 16, let’s be clear here, but I can’t say I appreciate his character either.

Expect you need to remember: 17 had like over 10 years to train and raise his power. Now assuming that statement is true back that, 17 would not have been THAT much stronger then her. It would be ONLY the smallest amount. So using SUper is a bad example in this situation.

What If Cell Failed To Absorb 17? This would’ve probably came about by Tien Shinhan who would decide to get involved and needing the opportunity for 17/18 escape would use the Tri Beam and would possibly even kill him. What If Cell Failed To Absorb 18? This would’ve probably occurred during his chase trying to find Android 18,and if Krillin would decide to do what’s best for the greater good would later use the Dragon Balls to wish back 18. What If Goku Didn’t Give Cell A Senzu Bean? This one would’ve been interesting given that Gohan was stronger than his own father at this point and Cell was possibly a little exhausted. What If Vegeta Fought Buu First? I feel as though Vegeta fought Majin Buu first before Goku it would’ve possibly led to the finale being changed greatly,Vegeta would probably be more exhausted than he was originally,and possibly lead to Buu possibly even winning.

ali firas no, we are talking about a trunks that was keeping up with god essence goku. Goku black wouldve absolutley mopped the floor with every single z fighter on earth. We are talking about a goku that increased his power so much he was going toe to toe with a freeza that in his first form one shotted a super saiyan gohan and a piccolo that had an extra couple years of training. Black wouldnt even break a sweat. However this would NEVER happen, as the only reason goku black exists is because goku fought zamasu in universe 10. Had those events not already played out in a different timeline further in the future. It wouldve never happened.

I have been giving the unseen timeline some serious thought I have a feeling that Goku dying in this scenario could still work provided he can still feel Cells energy in the time chamber or someone can get word to him 1. One of the androids are killed. In this case Piccolo chooses to fight 18 instead 2. Vegeta arrives and Imperfect Cell has no excuse to make Vegeta wait and kill him except he could get desperate enough to self-destruct like he did vs SS2 Gohan 3. Goku gets word or feels Cell's power build and then Instant Transmissions Imperfect Cell just like he did in the series 4. Gohan turns SS2 for the first time against Boujack instead 5. Buu Saga turns out similar at first with Goku coming back for 1 day 6. Ultimate Gohan defeats Buu and Goku isn't wished back right away. A scenario needs to happen where Buutenks overpowers Gohan, but this time Gohan prepares a shield upon absorbtion and then he rips out Goten, Trunks, and Fat Buu. Gohan defeats Kid Buu. Goku upset that he missed an opportunity to further fight Buu asks King Enma to reincarnate Buu as a good person. 7. Movie 12 happens since both Goku and Vegeta are dead it lines up. 8. Movie 13, everyone is wished back before the start of the film. SS3 Goku is able to simply defeat the Hirudegarn over Ultimate Gohan because the Dragon Fist is a special tech move. Like the Destructo Disc and Goku Blacks Ki Dagger it can cut enimies with a higher battle power to a point. 9. Battle of Gods could happen. Goku absorbs God in his base form but doesn't use Godly transformations again, because Beerus takes a longer nap and Whis doesn't train them. A decent explanation for a powerful base Goku in GT besides simple training. 10. GT happens 11. Beerus and Whis can return after the Shadow Dragon Arc and somehow Goku returns or they solely train Vegeta. Scenario 2 1. One of the androids are killed. In this case Piccolo chooses to fight 18 instead 2. Vegeta arrives and Imperfect Cell has no excuse to make Vegeta wait and kill him. 3. Broly movie happens 4. In the spirit of things I can't alter the movies so Boujack can't happen because Goku is alive 5. Return of Broly 6. Bio Broly 7. Same explanation of the Buu Saga and on through the movies Still trying to find a way to make all the movies happen fitting with the altered DBZ history seems like I can't get Boujack and the Broly films to go together.

Also 17 would probably have a grudge on Piccolo for killing her in the first place. Possibly never becoming someone in the tournament of power, but 16 would probably still be alive...

I don't think the other Androids would watch 18 die, I think it's more likely they let 17 fight without interfering because they knew Piccolo wasn't a significant threat to him. They probably knew about his barrier and would have interfered if it looked like 17 would actually lose and even if they wouldn't have I feel like if it were instead 18 the chances of interference would be higher as I doubt 17 would be as easily pacified just sitting there as 16 and 18 were.
