In this episode I'll be taking Scooby Doo characters and drawing them and writing them into the world of all my phobia and dinosaur demon episodes! The story in this revolves around Shaggy being a very fearful person who must overcome his fears to ward off three demons that are hunting him down. As the group starts to see that demons are a very real threat to their world, they come across the Predator Coalition of Demon Hunters and join them to help take down more demons and enhance their own skills.

Okay, now I feel like we need more stories revolving around the demon hunters within this universe. I feel like maybe a community redraw involving the Predator Coalition could definitely be a step in the right direction for that, but I would also be down to see more famous pop culture characters get turned into demon hunters. (Also, for those in the know, THIS is how you make a mature story with the Scooby-Doo franchise). Another interesting one. Paradoxically, terrifying events can lead to moments of great courage. Fun fact, Velma is canonically afraid of clowns. I'm looking forward to seeing what the Kuznet Family Tree of Accomplishments looks like, once it eventually happens; also, I still have that list of templates for Pokemon as Zoids, for if you need some help on that front. Also, on the mythological creatures front, the Aralez from Armenian mythology could be fun to see as a superhero, and the Ramidreju from Spanish mythology could be fun to see as something as well.

@@PopCross Maybe in the follow-up you can lean into more aspects of the characters, pulled from various iterations. For example, while in most of the franchise Fred is the one to come up up with traps and the like they use to catch the creatures in the series, this is taken to its logical extension in Mystery Incorperated where he is a full on trap fanatic. Mystery Incorperated is seen by many members of the Scooby Doo fan base as one of the best iterations of the series, bringing the characters into a more effective modern update while giving several members of the team what is seen as their definitive versions as characters, it also leans into the supernatural more than most of the Scooby Doo series have and even goes as far as giving Scooby, as a series, its own sort mythology that works on existing lore while also giving it some new lore for viewers to bite into. Mystery Incorpeated did another thing to the franchise, it moved the hometown of the cast from Coolsville as the place they grew up to a place called Crystal Cove; maybe you could spend some time with Msytery Incrperated, if you already haven't, and fold in some elements and components of that series into the follow-up.

Shaggy grew into a Badass Demon Hunter. His Instinct to protect his dog came out in a truly Ultra way. Seriously very awesome. I hope you are one day inspired to take some of your favorite anime characters and turn them into the cast of the boardgame, "Clue" one day. Next year is the game's 75th Anniversary.

Loving these. Now I want to see you do the same for other Hanna-Barbera properties. Like for example having the Flintstones as a barbarian family in your fantasy monster universe. By the way, did you know that during the history of the franchise, the Flintstones had not one, but TWO monster families as their neighbors? First were the Gruesomes, who were very loosely based on the Addams Family, and the second were the Frankenstones who were based rather explicitly on the Munsters. Or having the Jetsons exist in your Alien universe. Which brings me to another bit of Hanna-Barbera trivia - In the 1970s, Hanna-Barbera was working on a Jetsons sequel. In it, Elroy was meant to be a highschooler, while Judy was meant to be an investigative journalist, solving mysteries with Astro (this was the era of Scooby-Doo after all). A big part of the series was also meant to be human/alien relations, as humanity was supposed to have recently made contact with alien civilizations (the original series only had humans and robots). The concept got later scrapped however, and retooled into “’The Partridge Family 2200 A.D.” as Hanna-Barbera has recently acquired the license, and did not know what to do with it. This proved to be a mistake, as the show is now remembered as one of HB’s biggest flops. And finally, alongside the Flintstones and the Jetsons, there was also a third, now forgotten family. The Roman Holidays, who, as the name implies, were from ancient Rome. For whatever reason, they never caught on as well as the other two. Other than these suggestions, as well as the trivia I needed to get off of my chest, I em also suggesting animated characters on the Suicide Squad. Anne from Amphibia (arrested sometime after her return to Earth at the start of season 3, with Waller taking the role of Agent X), Star Butterfly from Star vs the Forces of Evil (busted for her attempt to destroy all magic in the multiverse), El Tigre (his flip-flopping between hero and villain having caught-up to him), Gary Godspeed from Final Space (being sent to the Squad instead of his exile to an abandoned space station), Koala Man (taken in after he took the blame for starting the 2nd Emu War at the end of episode 7), Luffy from One Piece (arrested for piracy), Jolyne Cujoh from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (arrested for the same reason as in the series, but Waller takes the role of Pucci), or Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan (arrested for war crimes).

@@PopCross If you like that, check out Mark Russel's run on "The Flintstones". It's a great series. The Impossibles in your *Superhero Corrections and Placement* universe could be cool too. Multi-Man, Fluid-Man, and Coil-Man. Now that I think about it, perhaps Hong Kong Phooey could work in a "Cartoon Characters as Werewolves" video? Heck, I'd fine if he only got a mention in a Fantasy video. Me and my mom are big fans.

So cool how this Velma was willing to accept that both sides were worth hearing out when it came to demons - many a take on the Scooby gang has her being the hard-core sceptic who dismisses believing in the paranormal as being stupid. And in the Mystery Incorporated episode where it becomes clear they're dealing with something truly supernatural, Velma freaks out ("Things need to make sense! I NEED IT TO MAKE SENSE!"), so again, glad to see she has a more open mind here (and seems "smarter" as a result).

Absolutely LOVED this episode, and the story behind it! I really loved the way you detailed how Shaggy overcame his fears again and again. Sneaking in the Ultra Instinct reference was a genius move too, and one that made me chuckle. I think we definitely need drawings of the three demons you mentioned in the last bit sometime! Less than a minute in and we already have a UI Shaggy reference. I’d say that already makes this a good video, but everything else was top tier as well. Favourite drawing for this video is Fred, though admittedly that’s 80% due to that weapon. Is that a real style of sword? How does one fight with it? Either way it’s very cool. The story was also great, particularly Daphne pointing out and working against all of the contrivances in the original show. This video was very fun to watch, and I’m excited for what you have cooking for Wednesday! Keep up the stellar work! Today is Day 91 of me requesting Shovel Knight characters as dragons.

So awesome! I knew mystery inc as demon hunters would be amazing. Kinda disappointed that Scooby didn’t have a gem of the angelic for a dog tag though. Oh well. Now I’m even more hopeful for a Scooby monsters as demons episode. I think it could work really well with the idea of humans turning into demons. The clown demon wanting revenge could easily explain why the gang faces so many ghost clowns. And the mummies could be explained by saying fear herself gave the Egyptians some ritual as an early experiment similar to the demon fruits. And as always I’d like to suggest despicable me as dragons.

I have seen you showing concerns in your preview for this episode that the video’s concept might be too basic, but I think this is precisely what makes it so great. Simplicity is a strength in of itself. Honestly, this whole concept reminds me strongly of the animated Scooby-Doo/Darkest Dungeon crossover video that came out on KZbin a few years ago (strongly recommend if you have not seen it yet.) And since this week is cartoon related, I suggest cartoon characters on the Suicide Squad Anne from Amphibia (possibly connected to the Blue Lantern corps. or Kamandi), Dick Dastardly and Muttley (Illegal street racers and mercenary pilots) The Brain from Pinky and the Brain (an experiment from S.T.A.R. Labs) Megamind (with Waller exploiting his attempts at making a new Metro Man) Carmen Sandiego (with possible ties to the League of Assassins) Reagan Ridley from Inside Job (high ranking member of Vandal Savage’s Illuminati) Invader ZIM (an alien soldier left behind by his superiors after a failed invasion) Korvo from Solar Opposites (possibly connected to Brainiac). Or Indie Video Game Characters in Mortal Kombat. Peppino Spaghetti from Pizza Tower - a retired wrestler, now owner and head chef of a pizza restaurant who recently found himself in massive debt to some very dangerous people. In a last ditch effort at salvation he dusted-off his wrestling past, and joined a seedy tournament in hopes of winning the prize (added the part about him being a former wrestler, because most of his attacks in the game resemble pro-wrestling moves) MT Foxtrot from Cruelty Squad - a corporate cyborg assassin sent to the tournament by his corporate overlords to dispatch any contestants with a position of power, and use a possible victory as a vehicle for the corporate takeover of the other realms Le'garde from Fear and Hunger - a warrior from Edenia who joined the tournament to bring peace to all the realms, by merging them all and ruling over them as a god O'saa, Marco, and Levi from Fear and Hunger 2 - contestants from Earthrealm. Respectively a Sorcerer from Ethiopia, aware of the tournament’s true nature, who’s joining for the opportunity of exploring different worlds; a boxer from Italy who joined the tournament for a chance to free himself and his sister from the mob’s grasp; and a Czech soldier with a heroin addiction who entered the tournament to either finance his habit, or perhaps even for the chance of having it cured. Isaac from The Binding of Isaac - originally a mere child from Earthrealm who was cast into the Netherrealm after a ritual performed by his fanatic mother. Having spent his entire life fighting for survival in a literal hell, the experience has changed him greatly. He has now entered the tournament in hopes of being able to return to Earthrealm. The Lamb from Cult of the Lamb - A Minotaur cult leader from the Outerworld, serving the Elder Gods, recently tasked to join the tournament in order to overthrow the current rulers of the Outerworld and bring it into the fold. Shovel Knight - a heroic warrior from the Outworld’s Zaterra region, going after Shang Tsung/Quan Chi/Shinnok to avenge his longtime partner. Shantae - a heroine from Edenia with some Earthrealm ancestry, and a vendetta against the Black Dragon gang, who joins the tournament in an attempt to take them down. Jacket from Hotline Miami - an assassin from Earthrealm’s Miami with multiple personalities (each personality tied to a different mask and possessing its own fighting style), who’s enigmatic handlers sent him out to wipe out the Black Dragon gang, only for him to become tangled-up in the tournament. The Batter from OFF - an entity from Orderrealm/Netherrealm/Chaosrealm in the form of an old-timey baseball player, on a quest to purify the realms The Penitent One from Blasphemous - member of an old monastic knight order from Earthrealm’s Spain with ties to the inquisition, betrayed by the Elder Gods/Shao Kahn/Shang Tsung. The Penitent One is now out on a bloody pilgrimage to exact justice for said betrayal. Any playable class from Darkest Dungeon - mercenaries from Outworld’s Vaeternus region, hired by Kotal Kahn to kill Shinnok

Can’t go wrong with a horror take on Scooby-Doo (especially seeing how the franchise is already one foot in that genera.) Certainly better than that awful Velma show we got. You’d think the execs would have learned their lesson after the disaster that was the 2016 Ghostbusters movie. For Halloween I would love to suggest horror movie monsters as pro-wrestlers, whether it be the silent film era ones like Nosferatu and the Phantom of the Opera, the classic Universal/Hammer monster movies like Dracula and Frankenstein, kaiju movies like Godzilla, the slasher movies of the late 1970s and 1980s, or even modern creepypasta and analog horror monsters (not really movies, but with a similar level of pop-culture impact). Or cartoon characters as slasher film survivors (whether it's Adventure Time, Ed Edd n Eddy, Grim Adventures, Amphibia, Gravity Falls, The Owl House, Invader ZIM, El Tigre, Danny Phantom etc.) Or something with horror game franchises like Silent Hill, Fear & Hunger, Dead Space, World of Horror (not really a franchise yet, but after three years of demos and beta versions, it FINALLY got its official release yesterday!), and the FAITH trilogy.

Ok, excellent video turning the mystery gang into demon hunters. One thing I wish you did though was put shaggy and scoob in the iconic position of one holding the other. Especially considering the form he took. -Parasite EVE as a Folklore story. -Bustar meeting a genuine Saiyan. -Kids TV Characters as Superheroes and Supervillains. -Kids TV Animals as Werecreatures -Dresden meeting the Superhero Corrections and Placement Foundation. -Pokemon as SCP's Banter episode. -My Little Pony Characters as Marvel Characters or Mortal Kombat characters. -Sea Creatures with Captain Trenton Derable and Chroncler Ulitus Saltyboots -Insects as Dragons. -Kaijuslayer Mechs with new narrator (Maybe with German accent?). -Eggman as a Villain of the Flash, similar morals to the Rogues, even programming his robots to aid Flash in saving citizens, if necessary but a little too obsessed with the Speed Force for the Flash Family's safety. -Animals as Superheroes.

Love it! So refreshing to have the lore of Mara's world expanded beyond just her detailing the demons they fight. More of this, please! Daphne is my favourite character, and I really love the story you wrote for her. The reason she was popular won't fly here, so she will just work super hard to be good at the thing that will garner her respect here! Love it! Since the trailer for the new Godzilla show came out why don’t you do part 3 of Godzilla monsters as dragons with Manda, King Caeser, Kumonga and Anguirus since you said he’s your favourite Godzilla Monster? 2. Since you’ve done superhero Dragons, maybe you could finally do my suggestions of non Marvel and Dc superhero fusions cause there’s heroes in their you’ve never worked with before that I think would be cool and could become a series, you won’t regret it 3. Tony had built a set of robot soldiers with the abilities and weapons of the avengers. They were fairly affective until ultron corrupted the machines through touch. Then the children had to fight robotic versions of their own parents.

Loved the work you put into this one. The story felt gripping, yet realistic for both these characters and your own demonic gallery. One bit of critique: the gun in Daphne's art. I feel like there should have been some more shading drawn to help separate the trigger and hilt of the gun from the stock and barrel. The gun feels a little flat without it and it drew my attention a bit from the overall art. Other than that, the art was really well done. I feel that Velma's looks absolutely fantastic and incorporates her original features quite well, without feeling to far out of the ordinary.

NGL I gotta say this ep is 100000000/10 in terms of greatness. As a long standing fan of Scooby-doo who sees himself greatly in Shag and Scoob, I can just feel the love, respect and dedication given to the art and story of this episode. This was incredible. I always enjoy seeing your Demon Themed videos. Especially your Things as demons/demon hunters videos, since they are another favourite of mine and I've been really enjoying your stories based of these mysterious and dangerous creatures. Plus I love anything that has to do with Scooby-Doo a lot since it was a huge part of my childhood, is one of my favourite series and its Scooby and The Gang...what else needs to be said. So seeing you draw some Scooby-Doo characters as demon hunters is just incredible. I especially love Velma’s and Daphne’s designs the most (but Shaggy and Scooby’s is a close second). Shaggy and Scooby’s gives off a cool and almost mighty warrior and loyal companion appearance mixed with an unrelenting storm who just emanates an interesting sense of power as well as someone who's willing to show why he’s a great hero and protector and proving why just become someone might be afraid doesn’t mean they don’t have potential for greatness...plus I just like how he looks like a tough brawler with his loyal friend and it’s cool you included “Ultra Instinct” Shaggy in his description, Velma’s gives off that of a hunter in resemblance to an explorer that seems to be the pure embodiment of seeker of knowledge while at the same time making sure that she’s more than it appears...plus I like how Velma rocks the demon hunter look with a cool axe and for some reason I can see her being a strong ally for a D&D campaign with the rest of the gang, Fred’s just makes him look like a unusual yet mighty warrior with some unique skills that shows that some people are more than what the appear to be and can become a powerful guardian and a terror to their enemies...plus he just looks amazing with that cool blade because I think he fits the role of an intelligent and fearless leader perfectly, Daphne’s makes her look like a strong and mighty ninja like warrior that while still being a pretty face is still very intelligent with a unique set of well rounded skills that will definitely make some demonic entities second guess themselves going up against her as well as an assailant/rogue to be feared by her mere presence but still have that sense of being a guardian and protector...plus I like how she looks even more like a badass and just has that natural feel of going up against an unstoppable force: plus it’s nice to show our favourite fashion forward black belt some love. They were incredible and I can’t wait to see more videos where you draw more famous characters from Scooby-Doo as demons/demon hunters since I think there's still a lot more that can be done with these iconic characters . It would be interesting to see you do more things with the other characters from the franchise; maybe turning them into superheroes, SCPs, Kaiju, dragons or even as armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast, and it would be fun to see Benny and Vasilia come up with armour ideas based on some of these unique aliens. If you end up doing a Pt. 2 to this, I want to see you use some of the monsters they Mystery gang faces off against or even The Hex Girls themselves since I think they can become some pretty ferocious demons/demon hunters. Plus this was a perfect video to be released since it has two of my favourite topics: Scooby-Doo and Demons...so thank you for continuing the series that set a strong standard for your dragon videos. I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. I’m also looking forward to the bonus episode on Wednesday next week since these bonus episodes are starting to become a new favourite of mine. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Monday’s video. P.s. do you think you could do a video of turning dinosaurs into mech armours?
