What if FAMOUS DOGS Were WEREWOLVES?! (Lore & Speedpaint)

It has been a LONG time since I tried out a werewolf focussed episode, so as a way to get my Folklore series kickin a bit more, I thought I’d take famous dogs out of pop culture animated series and turn them into werewolves and Lycans!
First up, we have Bluey from the hit Australian show of the same name as a Blue Heeler inspired werewolf from a family of werewolves. Second, we have Scooby-Doo and sort of Shaggy as a blended Lycan that is still a bit of a timid creature despite its size. Finally, we have Skye from Paw Patrol since PAW Patrol The Mighty Movie is coming this year and a request for a Paw Patrol episode spawned this video! I also really wanted to do a flying werewolf!

Werewolf dedicated episode? Are we sure this isn’t October yet? This feels a bit early for Halloween, but hey. I’m down for more of this, and I like these lycnathrope-style creatures. Good to hear the folklore world narrator again. Now for some questions & requests. Not sure if you saw any of these since I know I asked some of these in previous comments, but I’ll ask anyway. 1. Maybe you can do something like this by turning other pop culture creatures into characters from the game Bloody Roar. It’s basically lycanthropes meets X-Men. I’m sure it would be something you’d like. Is it niche? Maybe. 2. Are you going to try this with other creatures turned into monsters of legend? Curious to see what else you have in store. Day 14 of asking for something with Kamen Riders. Be it Riders as Dragons, D&D Characters, SCPs, Demons, or translating them into Marvel or DC. Even turning stuff INTO Kamen Riders. Heck, make it a variety episode!

I think Folklore Creatures has become at least in my top 5 favorite topics on this channel, possibly even top 3, especially since the stories seem to have a weirdly high rate of being neutral at worst. While Skye was obviously the most unique from a design standpoint, my favorite goes to Scooby; the green shirt and light brown shirt contrast nicely, it's cool seeing a werewolf with a more rounded face, and simple pose worked well since it (to me at least) displays a high degree of control, plus Scooby ripping the shirt off wouldn't really make sense imo given how close he and Shaggy are. Cool idea for an episode, excited to see what folklore creature you choose next should you make another dedicated episode! Keep up the stellar work! Today is Day 84 of me requesting Shovel Knight characters as dragons.

Yes! I knew you were a man of good taste and I think the fusion of Shaggy and Scooby to keep Scooby alive sounds quite wholesome. Minor critiques: the thinner dog-like tails on Bluey and Scooby seem a bit mismatched with stronger frames and while I think Skye’s tail looks fine, the rounded ears and short snout look more rodent than canine. Aside from those small things, amazing images as usual and on a subject close to my heart!

I left here some suggestions: Idea for fusions of characters that share a voice actor: VA: Ben Schwartz. A Fusion of Sonic, Leonardo, Stuffy and Randy Cunningham (No introduction needed for the first two, the last two are respectively a Little Blue Dragon and a Young Ninja, a lot of potential with these four) VA: Lizzie Freeman. A fusion of Uzi, Sabrina and Meggy (The first one, you already know her lore from Murder Drones. The second one is not the teenage witch but the psychic Gym leader from Pokemon. The last one, I don't know if you should use her because the Lore of Smg4 is more confusing and deeper than it seems.) VA: Sarah Stiles. A fusion of Spinel and The Candy Queen (They are from Steve Universe[The movie and Future] and Adventure Time [Fionna and Cake] respectively and I know that Popcross doesn't know much about the lore of either series but it would still make a good piece) VA: Jack Black. Examples: Wonder(woy) x Vash(Trigun), Willem Viceroy(rc9gn) x Dr.Wily(Megaman), Penn Zero(pzpth) x Sora(Kingdomhearts), Grunkle Stan(gravity falls) x Marcus Kincaid (Borderlands), Abraham Kane(Motorcity) x Handsome Jack(Borderlands)-Ben 10 villains x One Piece Villains fusions, ideas like Ma Vreedle x Big Mom, Vilgax x Kiado, Aggregor x Blackbeard, Psyphon x Buggy the clown, Zombozo x Gecko Moria, Khyber x Rob Lucci, Dr. Psychobos x Caesar Clown. -Motorcity characters as Tron programs, I consider Tron uprising and Motorcity sister shows that were spectacular and should come back with continuations.

Here’s an idea for Halloween, if you’ve ever seen Gremlins 2 you know about all the mutant Gremlins that are created when the Gremlins break into a biology lab. Well what if you did a story where some Gremlins were brought into the SCP foundation for study, but then they escape and consume other DNA samples from the SCP labs creating Gremlin/SCP hybrids? Imagine a Gremlin with the powers of Anantashesha, or the Hard to Kill Reptile.

Other Pop Culture Dogs you could look into: Fluffy from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone, Air Bud, Krypto the Superdog and Ace the Bathound. If you're wanting to do a Scooby Doo episode, you could maybe try a variety episode like Fred in a D&D setting, Velma in Star Wars, Daphne in something like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, ect. Or but the whole Mystery Inc. Gang in one of those settings. I also once again float the idea of Alien vs Predator vs Van Hellsing

If you don't want to repeat the Scooby Apocalypse idea, what about Mystery Inc as a DnD party? Think about it. Fred the Paladin. Daphne the Fighter. Velma the Wizard. Shaggy the Bard. And Scooby the Druid who for some reason always insists on using Wild Shape to assume the form of a canine whenever possible.... Or just make him an awakened dog. That works as well.

This was incredible. I’ve been a fan of your drawing famous “something” as something series since the beginning since they all have some unique and interesting stories and the lore behind some of them is just fantastic, and I’ve always been a fan of Werewolves since they are one of my favourite creatures from fantasy and folklore…plus they are badass wolves, enough said. So seeing you do a video based on drawing some famous dogs as werewolves is perfect. I especially love Bluey's and Scooby's designs the most. Bluey's design gives off the prescience of a cool and nimble beast with some magnificent and beautiful skills that’s not only a fearsome hunter but also someone who's ready to help and protects children...plus I love how her design makes her look like an amazing canine beast that ready show people why its a top hunter, Scooby-Doo's design gives off that of a cool and classic lycan creature look that’s armed with a unique set of skills that makes him ready for anything that comes its way...plus I love how he keeps his classic look while at the same time making the whole Shaggy and Scooby being merged as one works for him, Skye's design just makes her look like an even more outstanding yet humble looking werewolf that’s not only ready for an adventure but also capable of instilling joy and happiness amongst her surroundings and showing why its considered one of the most unique creatures in the world...plus I just love how her overall design looks and its really cool that she can fly. This was yet another amazing video and its one of the best ones with a new topic...and I like it. It's been a while since I've touched upon those favourite pop culture dog characters and its nice to see you show them some love as well and it would be cool to see you do more topic with them for some of your videos since I think that it would be a great opportunity. This was incredible and I’d love to see you try to do more famous Kids TV show character themed videos because since their just amazing, there's a lot of room for great designs and details. I'd also be ok with seeing you do a video on drawing more famous pop culture dogs as either kaijus, SCPs or as mech/fantasy armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast. Ok I see what your going through with doing a full Scooby-Doo episode and I'll be glad to assist. So what you could do is take the Scooby-Doo MONSTERS (or the costumes if you want to get technical) and turn them into demons. You can also have the Scooby-doo gang be demon hunters that work for the Predator Collation of Demon Hunters or something like that.

Suggestion #2. A particular Lycanthrope of mysterious origins. Blue in hue, controlled behavior, yet mysteriously leaves cryptic clue for various purposes. A scholar name Steven has been studying this Lycian closely and has even got to interact with it closely. He is devoted to finding out what this mysterious creature wants. (Blue from Blues Clues).

They all came out so awsome! There is a movie for the Scooby Doo series that DOES see Shaggy turn into a werewolf thanks to the meddling of Dracula. As for more werewolf ideas, there are so many dogs i know of. Balto is one of them (hes half wolf!), Pongo, Perdita, Bolt, the other paw patrol characters, and the other heeler family. You could also do werewolf adjacent and go with Harley Quinn as a werehyena. there is also Lady and Tramp

More ideas for pop culture dogs as werewolves? Apart from Courage and Clifford like you mentioned, some I thought of were DD/Diamond Dog from Metal Gear Solid V, Dogmeat from Fallout 4, Hot Dog from Skylanders, Potts from Jet Set Radio, Ace from Batman, Rush from Mega Man, and Akamaru from Naruto. And if you're open to more canines than just dogs, I nominate Balto, Riolu from Pokemon, and Sylvanos from Rivals of Aether.

Now this was a fun episode for sure, and if you ask me, I would totally be down to see an episode of a Scooby-Doo Zombie apocalypse story on this channel. Let PopCross Studios cook, is what I say! Though if you need any other famous dogs to turn into Werewolves, I would recommend Hot Dog from the Skylanders franchise. Either way, thank you for another episode, and... can we just take a moment to acknowledge that the deadline Fear Herself imposed is just around the corner?

A neat trick I've found for drawing fur vs hair since fur has a far bigger surface area is a series of triangle shapes for a more matted look. Silky fur is a bit harder because it doesn't group up as much, but usually I make hatching and lines combined. 😎🍻😎

(And I had a similar experience like that now that school started) an idea may be to take it a little easier building up to the multiverse videos in October so you could be full strength during then but if you need to you can keep going at the same pace. You went a lot more recent than the dogs I initially thought of when I saw the title. First I thought of was Lassie, then Rin-Tin-Tin. Maybe they might be in another video. But here are some others I could think would be good to see: Balto, Underdog, Krypto, Lady and/or the Tramp, John Wick's dog (either the puppy from the beginning or the pitbull he later gets), and Stitch (since he gets mistaken for a dog in the movie).

I love this episode! I love bluey and using the magic xylophone is awesome. But now I want to see the rest of the family as werewolves. Mostly chili. I love how you handled the Scooby lycan. And I’ve been asking for a Scooby episode so I’m excited you’re planning it. I suggest Scooby monsters as demons. And give Scooby a gem of the angelic as a dog tag. I’d also like Scooby monsters as scps. I also love the shy wolf. The bat wings are awesome. And a full episode with the rest of the pups would be cool. As for more dogs to turn into werewolves, ace the bat hound, skipy John Jones, and the shaggy dog. And of course despicable me as dragons.
