While pirates are certainly dangerous and a problem. In an actual battle, they tend to lose to experienced militaries. But I could definitely be wrong and Stannis makes a mistake or Euron is able to surprise him. Whatever happens I'd definitely buy a ticket.

The Ironborn are vikings in the books, and Euron is a sorcerer with a terrifying plan and clearly knows what's he doing, while he lets everyone else underestimate him and think they have the upper hand. The real Euron is implied to know a lot of dark mysteries and ancient sorcery...and the prophetic visions around him don't seem promising to those against him. Euron only controls the Iron Fleet in the show. Iron Fleet is loyal to Victarion in the books, while Euron commands other assembled Ironborn fleets.

Scrolled down as they were talking about this to see if anyone else realised how flawed the idea that "Oh yeah Robb would be totally cool with just bending the knee to Stannis" is. There's no real alliance to be had there without, maybe Shireen being betrothed to Bran or something, and even then it would require some kind of political change. Not just Robb bending the knee and everything goes back to normal. The only other option is war, which could maybe be put on hold while the Lannisters are still around, but whether Stannis would have the strength to take on The North and The Riverlands is very questionable.

​@flavius5722 well, I haven't seen the show, but I have read the books and have reread clash of kings within the last month, so I would say it's book accurate. Ned sent a Raven to Dragonstone before his death about Joffery being illigitament. It's public knowledge Ned's "treason" was claiming Cersei's children were illigitament, and Stannis is next in line. Also the Lannister's spread propaganda that he was colluding with Stannis. It is Catelyn's opinion that Robb would support Stannis before Renly, but I already pointed that out. I also think you are forgetting that when the Frey's pull their support, Robb and Catelyn plan on surrendering the war and their crown to the Lannister's and head back North, but change their mind when they get a certain wedding invitation. I'm confident they would be more willing to surrender to a victorious Stannis, then to Tywin Lannister.

The thing with the walder Frey situation is that I think stannis would first criticize them for not coming to the aid of their lawful liege lords (the tullys) and trying to profit of the situation as much as possible.

One thing you have to remember about the battle of the Blackwater is that the Tyrell-Lannister relief force is nearly 60k strong, while Stannis’s army in King’s Landing is probably only ~18k strong (although now they are behind the walls of the city with a fleet at their back). I think eventually the relief force could brute force the city and retake it. The only card Stannis has at that point is Joffrey being his prisoner. If he executes Joffrey then and there, he has basically won the war because, in the Lannister’s perspective, after Joffrey and Tommen are dead, he would be next in line. What would they be fighting for at that point? Marcella’s claim?

I don't see them being able to take King's landing in the slightest. Stannis could easily hold the city. And it would be suicide to attempt to take it. What you have to realize is that Tywin had to force march his men just to get there in time. His army is large but, they're exhausted and they don't have siege engines. The Tyrell forces are exceptionally green. There's no way they're taking the city. Heck there's no way they're getting past the walls.

@@flavius5722 They defeated Stannis cavalry by outnumbering them on the field 4:1. a siege is a completely different beast. Randyl Tarley also gets hyped up when his victory was a pyric one and he ambushed the Baratheon host. He barely managed to route Roberts army and even then Robert only retreated because an additional 40K men were on the way. Any siege equipment would take days to arrive do you really think that Stannis' cavalry would remain idle in the walls? 16k was only the amount of cav that stannis had. He also has the ability to call upon an additional 20-30k footmen. he only brought 4k footmen because that's all he could fit on the boats and he needed speed. During a siege he has the time to ferry more men and have an entire army march to the rear of the attackers. And thats leaving out magic. As soon as kings landing is taken Melisandre will arrive in under a week. If the siege is ongoing at that time you can rest assured the attackers are getting shadow babied or just plain old leeched.

If Stannis' fleet is unharmed, Mace would just abandon the Lannister, the man takes no risks; he might try to get Robb to marry Maragery, fail and kneel to Stannis. Robb will definitely kneel, Stannis has everything he wants, Sansa, revenge and a fleet to retake the North. Stannis probably accepts Tywin to be offed, just to satisfy the North and Dorne, and to annul the crown's debt; the money of Lannisport and Casterly Rock would be used for the reconstruction of the capital, the Riverlands and Winterfell.

One concept I adore is what if Renly was saved by Brienne? When the shadow comes to take Renly’s life, Brienne steps in and saves him, dying in the process. Renly tells his bannermen that Stannis sent an assassin to kill his own brother, and Brienne of Tartn saved him. This rallies more houses against Stannis, and the following battle (I dub Battle of Brienne) we see Renly’s complete victory. (Stannis and the Red Woman could be smuggled away by Davos, as Melisandre could still see a future for Stannis, but this could be up to the writer). Renly sends Catelyn back to Robb, to offer Renly’s terms, which after Catelyn saw how Renly honored Brienne (someone she respected), she supports his proposal. While there is some skepticism as they don’t wish for some Southern flowery prince, the alliance recalls memories of Ned and Robert in the original rebellion. Robb being a good commander, and caring for his sisters would see that if Renly could take Kingslanding, Sansa and Aarya would be safe; and would send a message to the lords of Westeros of who to side with. Robb sends back a messenger (perhaps Catelyn again, maybe a respectable Northern lord), telling Renly he will make an oath of fealty, and that Robb will purposefully bait Tywin into remaining in the Riverlands. The pact of Storms and Winters is formed. Robb goads Tywin into attack, making it look like he may be able to decisively beat the North; while Robb marched on Kings Landing unopposed, amassing more lords from the Westerlands and Crownlands on the way, who are starting to see the writing on the wall. The siege of Kingslanding begins, and despite Tyrion’s best efforts, being surrounded on both land and sea, the capital doesn’t hold for long. Cersei may not actually kill herself, as Renly has a different character to Stannis, someone who she may be able to convince to keep alive in his need to be well liked. However, she still probably would due to the risk of the rape and torture. I’m imagining that Cersei kills herself, other key women at court, and Tommen. Sansa may get caught up with this, however I could see the Hound potentially saving her. It would depend on how much fire is in the battle, but if the Hound gets traumatized enough to dip like in the main timeline, which he likely would, I could see him saving Sansa to protect her. The battle would be won, with both Tyrion and Joffery in the control of Renly. He doesn’t kill them yet, either to give a gift to Robb, or to make a spectacle of their execution. I’m imagining Tyrion and Joffery would sit in the same damp dingy cell, with the only company being each other. Meanwhile in the Riverlands, at this time Robb would have gotten word from Winterfell. Theon would have still gone to the Iron Islands, and sided with his Father as nothing here has intervened with that. Winterfell would still be held by the traitorous Ironborn, and Catelyn would be getting more and more worried. Catelyn would be hearing stories of the victims of sieges, and with her boys captive, and the threat of Sansa and Aarya in the capital, she perhaps would get desperate enough to consider setting Jaime Lannister free, to try and save her daughters. Only she is stopped, when a raven arrives with news that Renly has taken the capital. And that Sansa is safe. Messages are sent between Robb and Renly, planning their next move. In a show of good faith, as a friend to the North and all the realms of the 7 kingdoms, Renly pledges that once the scourge of Tywin Lannister is tore from the Riverlands, he will aid the North in relieving them of the Ironborn invaders. They agree to both march on Harenhal, and then to Casterly Rock when Tywin relocates. The Lannisters are forced to retreat deep into the Westerlands, Harenhal is briefly controlled by a skeleton crew of Vargo Hoat, before Roose relieves them of the castle. The pact of storms and winters is strong, as the two armies converge on Casterly Rock, and Tywin either surrenders himself, in some vain hope his family could live on, or he would take his own life, knowing that his legacy ends here. With Tywin dead, the Lannisters routed, and Renly and Robb united, the war of the stag, the lion, and the wolf comes to its end. However, the end of the war would be marked with tragedy, with messages from Winterfell speaking of Brann and Rickon’s death at Theon’s hand. Renly and Robb ride with the solidarity of the realm to avenge the Stark boys, as Catelyn goes to Kings Landing with Margery to reunite with Sansa, while the search for Aarya grows ever more urgent in the wake of the Stark loss. The Ironborn know feel the weight of the stags and wolves upon them, and the krakens are rooted from moat caitlin. When they lost the first keep, and rumors of the savagery of the Northern army in their vengeance, much of the other Ironborn flee, and Ramsay Bolton offers Robb Stark with a gift, the flayed Theon Greyjoy. An execution is held at Winterfell, attended by Northern and Southern lords alike, where Theon is beheaded right where he killed Ser Rodrick. The only difference is that Robb needs only one clean cut. The realm at last returns to some semblance of peace, with the North and South united by the crimes of the Greyjoys, and vengeance against the Lannisters. Robb would go to Kings Landing with Renly, like brothers in arms, and they would share a mutual respect for each other. Renly offers Robb to let him take vengeance upon Joffery, but Robb lets him swing the sword. At Joffery’s execution, Robb declares fealty to King Renly, followed by Loras Tyrell. Edmure Tully would bend the knee, and the lords of the North, the South, the Riverlands, the Reach, and all those in attendance, would swear Renly as their new king, as Joffery’s head was cut from his body. The blossoming ideas about the Pact of Storms and Winters. I kinda got carried away. Not everything is well accurate, but the possible character interactions would be so cool to see in this setting. Not to mention what happens when the wall is attacked, or when Dany comes, and so on and so forth.

So if Stannis wins the Blackwater, he in classic Stannis fashion probably ends up in a bit of a seige where he has his ships and holds King’s Landing, but he’s surrounded by enemies on land. Tywin and the Tyrells are still very much a threat, and importantly Tommen isn’t in King’s Landing during the Blackwater; being in Rosby at the time. So if Joffery’s and Cersei and Tyrion are dead the Lannister regime still has someone to rally under who isn’t a hostage. I’d say that’s a better reason to keep Joffery alive than the Robb thing; it means the Lannisters have their king under Stannis’ control, rather than still being led by a puppet. Now the Reach does have chronic fairweather syndrome, and whoever wins this stalemate is heavily reliant on who they side with. I do think they still favor the Lannister cause, though, as Littlefinger and Tywin are still around to champion it, and they were planning to kill Joffery anyways so its all gravy to them. Speaking of Littlefinger, given the incredibly high chance that Sansa dies during the Blackwater, its likely he becomes an even greater rogue agent than before. He’d probably return his focus to Catelyn, and abandon the Lannister cause they no longer hold the girl he intended to groom. If I had to guess how he’d probably still go marry Lysa in the Vale, while also working to counteract the Red Wedding schemes from Tywin and eventually encourage Lysa to join the war on Robb’s side (or do so as Regent of the Vale). The North, meanwhile, is now mostly defenseless from a wildling invasion. Jon Snow for sure dies, along with basically every other Night’s Watch character unless they decide to fully go to ground and hide under a rock until Robb’s army returns. As for Stannis? Well, he does the Stannis thing; bunkers down in an area with no food and toughs it out while being generally unpopular with all but a few people. King’s Landing still has no food when he takes it, and all the non-sea trade routes are not an option. He’s basically in a second Storm’s End, with the ‘getting food via sea smuggling with Davos’ too. Mostly it helps Robb’s cause, as seizing King’s Landing is a massive resource loss for team Lannister. Also losing Cersei and Tyrion makes Jaime an even more valuable hostage, but it may be that Catelyn already releases him before any meaningful changes could come from that.

you’ve got a point about the Lysa marriage; he isn’t exactly getting Harrenhal in this situation. I still stand by the fact he’d consider bouncing from the Lannisters, though, at least privately if not publicly. Simply put Tywin as de facto leader is not gonna have the ambient ‘chaos potential’ of a Joffery; and he certainly isn’t gonna give Littlefinger a castle like Harrenhal. Stannis is a bad option too, as he’s a known stick in the mud and is just as likely to arrest Littlefinger as work with him. The Greyjoys are the Greyjoys, so that just leaves Robb as a viable option to ally with, and he has the advantage of having a mom Littlefinger wants to bang. Do I think this is totally altruistic? Of course not! There’s even odds he still lets the Red Wedding happen, if only to isolate Catelyn from any attachments outside of himself. Say convincing Cat to come with him to the Vale to negotiate with Lysa, only for the Wedding to happen while she’s away, or something similar. And if he flips back to the Lannisters he could probably find a way to make a marriage deal out of this; Catelyn being an older widowed traitor being less valuable in this world’s eye, and therefore a viable marriage option for someone low born like Littlefinger. After that all he needs is a little Frey homicide and he’s got Riverrun! Of course saying there’s any one plan Littlefinger would follow is a bit silly; his political strategy relies heavily on reaction to events not totally in his control. But in this hypothetical I see that the Lannisters can no longer give Littlefinger what he wants, and the Stark camp, at least in theory, can.

Yeah. Hell no. Firstly. Tywin would have to be an idiot to attempt to siege kings landing. Stannis has the Royal fleet he can't be starved out and at any point can ferry mercenaries without contest. Any sort of siege would take months and would destroy the attackers army. Stannis has more than enough men to repel an army of 100k attacking the city. Numbers matter a hell of a lot less than logistics in a siege. Tommen lives for now at least but, how long is house Rosby willing to hold on to the Lannister cause when they've effectively lost. It's also assuming Rob doesn't harass the besiegers at camp. He's well experienced in night raids and guerilla style warfare. Sansa most likely survives the battle of black water. I can't see why she wouldn't. Little finger might go rogue but I definitely see him going to the Vale first and foremost. How successful he is in the Vale is up in the air at this point. And to say that the wall is defenceless is laughable. The two events are over a year apart to say that neither stannis nor Robb would be able to send a relief force is laughable. Most of the North men would be back home at this point. Stannis routed the wildlings with 1500 men. To say that NO ONE could spare the men is ridiculous. Even if Rob himself stayed in the south most of his forces would have been redirected against the greyjoys who were already forced out of winterfell at this point so only a handful of castles would have to be retaken and that's only if the Greyjoys don't retreat which is unlikely.

Interesting points! I'll give some more explanation on some my reasoning. First, I do agree Tywin probably wouldn't be the one leading a siege on King's Landing; he's certainly more useful in either the Riverlands or the Westerlands, opposing Robb's army. I think he leaves the siege to Mace Tyrell, if given the option. The Tyrell alliance is much shakier in this timeline, and also Mace is not exactly well known as a great military leader amongst the other lords (even if he considers himself hot stuff). Tywin can't just abandon the capital, especially if Joffery is still alive; in the eyes of the other kingdoms he might as well be conceding defeat. So having Mace Tyrell block the land routes into the city, and also bring in Redwyne forces to choke the naval routes would be a good way to lock Stannis in place, at least for long enough to deal with the Stark issue. As for Tommen, I suppose in their squabbling its unclear if either Cersei or Tyrion bothered to mention to anyone where Tommen was being held. If they did mention it, then it's a no brainer for Tywin to pick up his grandson on his way back north and bring him somewhere safer like Casterly Rock. If they didn't, then its still a wash because the men Tyrion has guarding Tommen are under instruction to take him to an unknown location if the city falls. So either way he isn't sticking around Rosby to get captured. Sansa doesn't survive the Blackwater for a simple reason: Cersei. Cersei plans to kill herself and all the other noblewomen in the castle if the city is taken. This, unsurprisingly, includes Sansa. And I don't think Sansa has the Arya-like instincts to get out of the castle before that massacre happens. Now, there is a situation where she lives; where Dontos takes her out of the city in the chaos and to Littlefinger. At that point she would essentially be starting the Alayne story early, and so would to the world at large be believed to be dead. I'm a bit confused why you think there's more than a year's time between the Blackwater and the attack on the Wall, are you referencing the show's timeline here? The first three books take place over the span of about two years, starting a few months in to 298 and ending a few months into 300. The Blackwater takes place in the latter half of 299, as right after Joffery's wedding is planned for the first day of the year 300. Right before the battle at Castle Black the Wall doesn't even know about Robb's death, which had to happen in 299. The amount of time between the Blackwater and the fighting at the Wall is around 6 months, give or take a few in either direction. As for no one sending defenses to the Wall... The books are filled with instances of leaders being told bad things are happening in the North, and ignoring the signs. Robb is told by the wildling Osha and Bran that dangerous beings are North of the Wall, and Mance plans to head south, and is ignored. Tyrion waits weeks to Thorne in King's Landing, and thus misses the sign of the undead hand and only sends a few prisoners to the Wall. Tywin actually encourages doing nothing for the Wall when they send another letter for aid, as it means Robb's forces will be more distracted than they would be otherwise. Lastly, Stannis going North is a miracle in itself, as it requires Davos becoming Stannis' Hand, learning to read, and Stannis having so few options that he considers bringing his forces North a good idea. None of things happen if he's holding King's Landing! I do think they'd react eventually, but only after its far too late and Northern houses start sending ravens about the hordes of wildlings battering down their doors.

First, I think you guys need to re-read the books. Robb just got doing the whole "King in da Norf" thing with all his bannerman, swearing that they weren't going to bend the knee any more to southern lords. He's not going to just say "oops, never mind" at that point. Second, Sansa *is* in the Queen's Ballroom with Cersei during the attack, and Cersei specifically tells her Ilyn Payne is there to kill them both if Stannis wins. But using the example given, I'm not sure Stannis's victory is assured, even if the wildfire gambit doesn't pay off. He takes the city, Ilyn does his duty and executes Cersei and Tommen (and yes, Sansa) and Stannis *absolutely* puts Joffrey to the sword, because a live king is something for loyalists to rally around. But Tywin/Mace/"Renly's Ghost" show up pretty quickly, and the sight of fake Renly was enough to turn some of Stannis's army that supported him, so I think the result is still up in the air. But let's say Stannis is able to hold off the initial attack at and hold the city. What then? He's a rigid ruler who doesn't bend and is worshipping a strange god that doesn't jibe with the people in King's Landing, who are at least zealous enough that Kevan Lannister balked at openly confronting the High Sparrow later on. He doesn't really have many forces anywhere else and demands all the other Kings bend the knee. Tywin and Robb absolutely won't, Riverrun has sided with the North, The Isles are doing their own thing. Petyr skedaddles up to the Vale and Lysa will do everything she tells him, and he'd rather work for Tywin than Stannis. Mace could go either way, and it's interesting to think about what he would do, but Stannis doesn't really have anything to offer him in terms of marriage, so the play might be to stay with Tywin and see what develops (but if he did bend the knee, that would drive Loras off to be a player down the line, which is interesting). Myrcella is still out there and Tywin's last shot at having his own lineage on the throne, so I feel like there's a mad scramble to bring her back (and this gets Dorne involved in the festivities sooner rather than later.

I agree with 90% of ehat you say , excepție I am even more pesimistic about Stannis chanches at that point 1) Tommen was not in KL during the battle ( in the books ) Tyrion had sent him at Castle Rosby ,so even if the city fall , Tywin will still have a claim to the throne , so Stannis is even in a worse position that you say 2) Even without Tommen and Myrcella, I just don't see a scenario where Mace bend the knee to Stannis Stannis is married to a Florent, a house who is claimed Higarden for themselves, and despite what we the show said , Mace was never influence by Margery or Loras to join Renly or Tywin, he did because these two had offer them great terms , for example, Tywin had offer two positions in the small councile , lands for Garlan , and a place in the Kingsguard for Loras , beside two mariage aliances So not even that Stannis dosen't offer a marriage ,he dosent offer anything

Well he had a Targaryen grandmother so it could work out. I see a few scenarios. A. They hatch, and despite being part Targ, he swears off that part of his ancestry, and he ends up selling them for a premium price to some zoo/menagerie. The dragons never reach their full potential and live their life as zoo animals. B. They hatch, he imprints on them, and it inspires him to get back into shape. In a few years Dany gets a surprise visit from Bobby B in Essos and her, Jorah, and any army she’s building gets BTFO’d. He probably wonders why none of his “children” ever end up bonding with the dragons and vice versa… C. They hatch and…yeah he still just stays himself. The dragon trio in a few years all have flabby Vhagar necks and beer bellies from sitting in the newly rebuilt dragon pit all day eating sheep.

Well once Stannis becomes king after taking king's landing he will probably take a month or two to rebuild his forces before marching north. I think he will take the north with a strong fresh army meaning he will now have all 7 kingdoms under his rule even Drone because he took out the Lannisters.

Something that should be remembered when it comes to The Hound is that his fear of fire still comes into play because Stannis burns people for R'hllor. I think you might be right about Joffrey, especially if the Hound is around to protect him. If Ilyn Payne makes any move towards the king I don't see why he wouldn't just die to Sandor first. Anyway, I don't agree the Hound and Bronn would necessarily die. Bronn was, at least in the series, away from the fighting firing that arrow. If we say the timelline cutoff point is with him, perhaps he misses the goopy stuff with his fire arrow or the fire goes out mid-air as it should, I think he just bounces then and there. Sandor is from house Clegane who are bannermen of house Lannister, you can't fault a man for being loyal to his lord so I don't even think the Hound will be tried for anything. If he sticks around long enough to surrender or be caputred, I think Stannis might see Sandor as a useful tool to rally house Clegane around in opposition to the Mountain. I also doubt much changes for the Tyrells. If Tywin retreats so do they and I doubt they would do much more than remain put and wait to see how Stannis' power-grab plays out, they will eventually swear fealty. They may try to maneuver marriage alliances, I have no clue how receptive Stannis would be to such things. If Robb bends the knee and gets Sanda back he might agree to marry her off to a Frey and the Freys may attempt more subtle assassination plans to rid themselves of Robb and install Sansa in the North. Lastly I could see Tywin accepting the loss as it is at this point. Let's say he has to declare Sandor as the rightful head of house Clegane and surrender any further warring and in return he gets Myrcella back from Dorne who also send Oberyn to aid Sandor in hunting down the Mountain to be his heir in the Westerlands. Maybe he would attempt to save Joffrey, but I think he would see a Myrcella regency as a better settlement when he no longer really has the backing to perform any real military maneuvers. So now we get Oberyn-Sandor buddy-cop sub-plot.

19:19 I think that Stannis would view the situation like this: Master holder of grudges that Stannis is, he will still remember Walder as the "late Lord Frey" would held back his support of his liege Lords the Tullys until Robert's victory was certain. He will point out that Frey held back his assistance to Robb until his price was met. While he may chastise Robb for breaking an oath, in Stannis' view of honor, Walder Frey has no honor and is a coward to boot. In Stannis' estimation Frey is lucky that he, the Rightful King, is allowing him to keep possession of the Twins. Stannis is the grand master of Grudge holding lol.

Love this! I posted this comment before so apologies if you already saw it but it’s a topic I’d like to see you guys cover. There’s a very plausible what if I’ve always thought of, Tywins father Tytos was notorious for having mistresses after his wife’s death. What if Tytos has a bastard? Assuming Tytos has a bastard towards the end of his life the kid could potentially be even younger than Jamie and Cersei (Tytos died 267 AC at 46 year old, Jamie and Cersei born 266 AC) I think it would create a very interesting dynamic in a lot of ways. Tywins brothers either wanted to separate from him, (Tygett and Gerion) and Kevan falls into Tywins shadow. I feel like a Tytos acknowledged bastard could create some really interesting plot lines. For example- When Tywin starts losing WoT5K and then this bastard could try to seize Casterly Rock or something similar. -When Tyrion kills Tywin and Jamie stays on Kingsguard same thing could happen. I feel like the Lannisters have very little major players outside of the main family, and don’t really have any real threats within the westerlands, where the north has the Boltons as an internal threat, riverlands has the Freys etc. I’m just really curious of the idea of Tytos having a bastard Hill son, especially since he was out there fuckin. Especially if he’s around Jamie and Cerseis age, and especially if he’s competent (Jamie and Cersei are not). I’m curious about your thoughts on that, you can make a video about it if you think it would be fun, if not all good though! I am still curious to hear your thoughts. I don’t think Tywin would kill an acknowledged Lannister bastard or shun them (reference Joy Hill)

The best chance for Stannis was if Tyrion died before becoming Hand. Either killed on the savage men raid, or if Ser Vardys beaten Bronn, or on that battle where Tywin used him and his men as bait for Rob's troops (thus sacrificing them).

So I wrote a fan fic for a few friends I had Tyrion live. My reasoning is that podrick sees him in such bad shape that he drags him into the city and then grabs some supply’s for his healing. Bron joins them then they sneak out of kings landing and go to castlley rock.

If Stannis won, he would tell Frey that it was his duty as a vassal of house Tully to allow the Stark army passage through the Twins since the Tully’s were allies of the Starks, and that Freys attempt to extort a marriage out of Robb was dishonorable and not binding

I think Geoffrey ends up at the wall at Jon's Mercy. He gets delivered to Rob, Rob goes to execute him and he requests the wall. (Up to you if Rob allows him or breaks more oaths). Then it becomes whether or not Jon kills him, on one hand he killed Ned the only person at winterfell that didn't treat him awfully (other than Rob) on the other Geoffrey takes the black brotherhood then he'd be killing a brother.

The thing with Walder is he technically committed treason too by siding with Robb, I think the cool thing Stannis could do is demand Robb to denounce talisa and marry Shireen... Prob wouldn't happen but it's a cool thought. Stannis did rly like Jon so maybe he'd like Robb too. He does respect war skills after all

If Stannis won the Battle of the Blackwater it would be because Tywin and the Tyrells are too late, and then he'd just be besieged, but he should hold out long enough for Robb to take Casterly Rock and cut off supplies from the Tyrells. And then you have the Lannisters and Tyrells trapped between Stannis and Robb, at which point the war is over. Then Robb would probably accept to become Warden under Stannis rather than King in the North in order to turn his attention to the Greyjoys. If Robb doesn't agree, he'd probably still turn north, but with Stannis following, and Stannis may accept the North's independence only when he learns about what's happening beyond the wall.

I’d love to hear your opinion of the outcome if Jon acted more like a king and refused to bend knee to Daenerys. Like, if after receiving her summons he wrote in response that he’s willing to meet with her but not at Dragonstone and not at Winterfell, but somewhere neutral like Eastwatch by the Sea. Like in the show her captures a wight there, not to convince Cersei of the White Walker threat but to convince Daenerys. Basically, a politically savvy move, perhaps on the advice of Sansa or Davos, to convince Daenerys that they need each other, but he doesn’t meet her on her turf, so she can’t really force Jon to bend knee. Basically she’s forced by circumstance to compromise, perhaps persuaded by Tyrion, to ally with the North without trying to force them back into an oath of fealty they no longer want. So what would be the ultimate outcome of their alliance on this basis?

My personal opinion regarding the Frey situation. I think Stannis wouldn't pay that much attention to the situation, we have to remember that Stannis is STILL dealing with the Westerlands in open war. They are still very rich and could probably cash in some debts. I think Stannis would prioritize the ongoing conflict and possible infighting over some squabble with Walder Frey, who is known to be fickle anyways. I think he'd be lenient on Rob to try and get him back into the fold and secure the north, having a strong ally.
