Chaos is gone, Webway runs in full swing for the Imperium and every human on every planet falls silent as the Master of Mankind perpares to speak to them through said Webway. He stands on a podium in tye dark, sole sporlight centered on Him (I know that he naturally glows, but bear with me). He says two sentences. "It is done." "Let us party!" Then the lights turn on, revelaing all the Primarchs in two rows of nine, fanning around the Emperor, as they all perform a synchronized dance number, with music blairing and all of humanity continuing to party for weeks, shaking the galaxy with sheer intenisty of it.

Thing about the Imperial ‘webway’ (1 tunnel) is how everyone gets it wrong - ‘everything would have been peachy if only Magnus hadn’t pissed in the Big E’s paddling pool.’ Let’s say none of that happened, the Aeldari, the Drukhari and the Harlequins are cool with the Emperor dicking about in their backyard and Chaos can’t do a thing. He’s got to map the whole thing to find where each stop on this extra dimensional railway even is and where it leads. Next he’s got to set up a timetable for getting munitions from planet B to planet Z. Next he’s gotta get a signal master in to say what rails are free and which aren’t. And he’s got to make sure daemons or chaos lackeys aren’t playing chicken at any given time on the track.

I personally think that the Emperor would have to stay on the golden throne. The first thing he would do is abolish the Inquisition and Adeptus Ministorum. The Inqisition would probably fight back, but wouldn't stand a chance. He would then try to find all of the Primarchs, starting with the ones he knows are still there, such as Magnus. He would probably find Magnus and restore his soul. Rogal Dorn would probably show up on his own, maybe masquerading as a centurion of the Custodes, due to their large size. I would say that the Emperor would waste no opportunities, and would actually send the Inquisition to the warp for two reasons. First, to find Leman Russ, and second, to nring the Star Child out of the warp, and into realspace. In fact, the Star Child might even take an Inquisitor's body as its own. Maybe Karamazov. Anyways, the Emperor would likely send the Ultramarines to get more Primarchs, and would send them to find the Salamanders' artifacts to bring back Vulkan. Magnus would likely also search, going to their home planet, and probably finding Vulkan. Perhaps even another Primarch. If so, I would guess Corax. Nonetheless, Vulkan, seeing Magnus as a traitor would probably attack, sending Magus back to Terra, and Vulkan on a trip to slay Magnus. There's so many possibities to what could happen if the Emperor had a text to speech... I mean was revived. Yes. Revived.

The decay of the imperium feeds Nurgle directly. I don’t see the religion disappearing, but I do see a reform by the emperor. The Eldar regulate their remaining warp gods(except Ynnead, but that’s probably going to backfire) and the Old ones did pre-war in heaven. I can imagine the Emperor doing something similar by instilling good belief in his followers, regardless on wether or not the emperor and the God-emperor are the same being.

As for what still poses a threat with the Emperor back in action... In a lot of ways the Tyranids remain the same threat level they are now, the Emp adds a devastating single warrior to any potential engagement, but he can't be everywhere. Though he may have some psychic ability to counter the hive mind, thus effecting the Nids on a greater scale. Even more though, the threat of the Necrons remains largely intact. Don't forget, they have killed, gods before. And if you go off of the Emp battling the void dragon. That was only a Ctan shard that seemed a match, as Emp couldn't kill it, only trap it on Mars. Therefore a whole Ctan, in this case, should be more powerful than Emp daddy. But who knows what our Golden master resurgent could have up his ceremite sleeves!

During the heresy, Emps gave Corax access to his secret unfinished gene research, that Corax was able to complete and then use to make enhanced space marines. The project only failed because the alpha legion infiltrated the raven guard and sabotaged it. Basically, emps was already trying to improve on the astartes formula, way before the heresy even started. I'm pretty sure that if Emps came back and saw Primaris marines, he'd just be like 'oh cool, you managed to make it work'. He was an innovator and was always trying to improve on his previous work. It's only the modern Imperium, seeing everything through the lens of religion, that thinks anything done by Emps must be perfect and impossible to improve upon. Emps himself was a scientist and rational thinker and he didn't see his creations as a godly work, but as part of his ongoing scientific research and development.

So yeah the Empz already has a ruleset in the Horus Heresy game. I always figured they would release his model as the last of the character series. When it comes to 40k I think its a bit more tricky, he is their in-the-back-ground poster boy after all. So him returning would be a bigger step than Primarchs returning. I also don't think GW will do this if they didn't intend to sell a model of him. I'm actually curious what plans GW has for their Primarch range. We know they intend to release the big 4 Deamon Primarchs. But what about the other traitors? Sanguinius is a huge character which will be hard to bring back, as is Horus. I'd be surprised if they made a Corax model before either of those yet he's the one that's alive. This leads me to believe GW might just focus on 4 Primarchs and 4 Deamon Primarchs (Guilliman, Russ, Lion, 1 more loyalist I can't decide on & the big 4 Chaos Primarchs)

We're in a tricky part with the Emps as so little is written about his actual thoughts and endgame vision. I'm not sure where he would sit on religion, depends if he comes back partially ascended needing that warp worship to make him over 9000. But could see him wanting to go back to the imperial truth, but knowing to do so would weaken the imperium so much when reformation was going on it would probably collapse. As for primaris, I do not think he would have an issue with what cawl has done. Marines and Primarchs are tools, tools can be improved. I reckon he'd back cawl and encourage him to develop more

Looking for a little help. All my knowkedge of Warhammer lore comes from the Dawn of War PC games and KZbin. I got a couple of books recently that i thought would really go into The Horus Heresy, but, there is so much damned content out there, the two books that i got were only sort-of about it, and more on side-characters. So, if anyone could tell me where to go for like, the big official story about it, because i have got no idea as to where to start. I am also really wanting to read about the fight against that "beast" ork. Oh yeah, and also all the stuff that has recently happened on Cadia. I have repeatedly looked online as to where to start, but there are so many books, and online all i can get is like, vague descriptions of the plots. Thank you for any input.

I always felt he needs to die first and then incarnate again after fighting the chaos powers in soul form in the warp. I also feel that cypher was meant to kill him. SO, humanity being isolated from each other, Heroes of the Imperium becoming warlords to survive until he returns. Perhaps the haos gods as well are missing in ation as they are battling to consume the Emperors soul. Thus begins the Age of the Ork, which we are already seeing. So Emperor should die. His death will wake or summon other Primarchs. (Perhaps een remaining clone Primarchs who don't know why they are being summoned, it's simply in their DNA. They have returned for absolution.) Terra goes into Isolation. Emperor battle the chaos gods so he isn't consumed and an incarnate. Perhaps bring all the descendants of his blood children back. Were they called Sensei?

I think if he returned, he'd at first be mad at the state of his Imperium and the worship of him as a god, but then realize that perhaps him being seen as a god would help prevent the corruption of chaos and begrudgingly allow it. His first Decree as the God Emperor of Mankind would be to order the search for all missing Primarchs, then get to work on re-creating what Magnus ruined. After he finishes the Webway Project, he would order a grand conquest to recover lost STC's and order the Mechanicus to prepare, for they would soon create the weapons of war recovered from the STC's. His Third Decree as God Emperor of Mankind would come after his remaining Primarchs returned would be to reorganize his Astartes, and order them to reconquer mankinds lost territory and set up strongholds to protect the Imperiums travel ways to ensure the imperium has protected routes and access across the territory of man. His next action would be then to create new Primarchs, though this would take much time. His following course of action would ensure stable foundations in case he is once again struck down, and the imperium must survive without him. his many actions would include the creation of of a Institute that would be responsible for collecting all data recovered from STC's, recording it, storing it, learning from it, and creating new technologies using the knowledge learned from them. All this would be to ensure humanity enters it's second Golden Age, though Chaos will not rest and wait for the God of man to destroy them, they will do their best to ensure this does not happen. And further, humanity has enemies at every degree, it will be an intense struggle.

The Emperor isn't a nice guy. He doesn't care about his 'Sons', so I think he'd try a new primarch project, amp up primaris project and move to wipe clean the slate as per the great crusade but with the added bonus of slaughtering the existing astartes chapters. So I think if he is restored, he'll be in his basement for quite some time before making any moves. Unless his vision for humanity has changed, which doesn't seem likely, he hasn't shown much remorse before and I don't think he would now.

Firstly, as the most powerful psyker humanity has, odds are he could predict the future. Emps is that ruthless of a cunt that he would play a 10K plus long game with the ultimate goal of making himself a god; He made demigods who all had specific roles that ran counter to each other, set up a conflict that would make him a martyr, put in place systems that would ultimately lead to his worship and being fed an endless supply of psychic energy while acting as a bridge between the realm of man and the warp.... Massive Civil war as the church fights to kill the false emperor. The Orks Nids Chaos Tua all expand as the imperium turns on itself. A new Dark age befalls humanity. When the wars are over and "peace" returns those human worlds left well be lucky if they can rub two sticks tighter to make fire and the Emperors long game well need to start anew. The only way the Emp leaves the throne is as a god.
