Why do I have the feeling that the mere idea of the Father training Anakin in the SW universe that would not only give the Sith a run for their money but is also a very bad thing for everyone involved…specifically those who threaten the balance. Plus it’s nice to see you include the Mortis Gods in fun Star Wars ‘what if’ stories because for some reason them being more involved in the galaxy and the father guiding Anakin just makes sense (also they would be a very powerful and formidable beings) and would fit perfectly well within the SW universe and expanding their stories. Also it’s always fun to see Qui-Gon getting more involved in these amazing stories…he’s one of my favourite SW characters ever so it’s nice that you’re giving him the love and respect he deserves.

Balance between light and dark isn't the same as balance in the Force. Lucas described the dark side as corruption and balance in the Force as the absence thereof, he didn't actually use the term "light side", think "toxic waste in an ecosystem" and less Yin-Yang. The Jedi rejected certain emotions and attachments because they could lead to the "toxicity" called the dark side, not because those feelings were inherently dark. i.e Fear and anger are natural, until they consume a person and lead to behaviour that damages others

@mphoramathe1801 that is not directly from Lucas that was described by best who played Jar jar but if you hear Lucas directly from the 2010 video he describes it as "you've got the dark side and the light side, one is selfless, one is selfish and you wanna keep them in balance because when you go over to the dark side you fall out of balance" and goes on to say falling into the darkside leads to certain emotions which require you to dive deeper. If the interpretation from best was correct you would not have jedi which could utilize both sides of the force in balance without relenting solely to the "corruption" no longer knowing the light, yet you have individuals like Revan or the original Je'daii who predated the jedi (this is once again cannon) and utilized both sides of the force. I think what George is saying is that the lightside cannot exist without the dark side to define it, but you must temper yourself so as not to dive into it as the further it will pull you down. So it will corrupt yes, but it must not tip the scales as once it tips to the dark, it will naturally fall further. The jedi do not remove their emotions, which are the root of the darkside. They simply learn to temper or mitigate them. Look at the Clone Wars tv series, which is cannon. Yoda faces his dark side incarnate. This shows it is always there, but he learned to keep it in check. It even says, "Part of you I am, part of all that lives" thus you cannot get rid of it.
