I am 99% sure the DOOM Compressor is mostly FL Studio's Maximus. You can see it was made in Patcher, which means it's a custom UI just hooked into some parameters of existing plugins, tucked away under the hood. Just set the curve for all the bands to a flat 0.0dB and you should already be most of the way there. The foot button sounds like it just maxes out the Pre Gain knobs, and the rest is a series of on/off buttons. Maximus seems the most likely candidate since not only can it switch between normal and multiband compression modes, the default positions of the crossover knobs match, and it's a stock plugin included with the Producer Edition. It's also the easiest way I could find to achieve something matching his description of "200dB simultaneous upward/downward compression" given on Instagram. There might be some slight inaccuracies to my method that only Mick himself would know of, but this recipe is the closest I've gotten to the real deal.

I always though there were a couple moments in Hades' OST that sounded like Doom. It's interesting to hear how well it fits, it would be awesome if mods were allowed in this game (like in Crypt of the Necrodancer) so that we could listen to your tracks while playing!

yeah was thinking about the exact same thing like custom music mods.

It's great to see the merging of two of my favorite game sound tracks in recent years. Keep up the good work, it sounds great

this is the only "let's re-create mick gordon's sound" video I've seen that actually gets close! It seeps into Killer Instinct a bit too, which ain't a bad thing.

I fully intend on coming back to your video, but just wanted to say that having someone put a timestamp of the singular part of the video we came here to see was so refreshing.

Why am I only finding this now? Doom and Hades were 2 of my favourite games of last year, in no small part because of their music. You fucking nailed this, great job.

I imagined the DoomSlayer just decimating Hades throughout this whole song. Freakin' fantastic

I wonder if "The Unseen Ones" can be doomified like this and if so, how a human mind can even process it.

Doom, one of my favourite game series with my favourite soundtracks of all time. Hades, a game i just started playing, one where i dont have a background video on cause the music is good enough. This video made me happy

How would you Say "ℜ𝔦𝔭 𝔞𝔫𝔡 𝔱𝔢𝔞𝔯" in ancient greece? Or "𝕯𝖆𝖗𝖐𝖓𝖊𝖘𝖘 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖇𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖉" in demon language?
@RealBenda3 жыл бұрын
Never thought my classics knowledge would serve a Doom meme, but it should be something like "σχῐ́ζε καί φείδου" (pronounced approximately as [skhee-dzeh kye phey-doo]). It's literally more like "divide and cut", but I think it's close enough. :D

Pretty sure the demons are too feral to have any language, but maybe someone could find some way to translate to the Sentinels' language. That being said you get to hear like 4 fuckin' words in it lol
