Fantastic video, I'll be running the beginner game for the first time come this Friday and I sent this to my players as a primer since most of the group is unfamiliar with the system. I will note that the only use of Advantage that specifically states being usable multiple times from the result of a single check is recovering strain, however I think that bypassing that limitation for solo play is entirely reasonable. Your channel really came out of nowhere at a time where I really found myself wanting to get back into the system and I'm happy to see there's still support and love for this game, I've always found it really interesting.

I highly enjoyed this, it's incredibly useful to have good examples to look at especially for new players and gms. I liked how comprehensive this was, you got in a wide range of types of checks and scenarios to work through. I also very much appreciated the roleplay of the gm reacting to his combat encounter being snuffed out in an instant. Very relatable lol. Keep up the good work!

A few things I would change... 1) Din is Primarily a gadgeteer, not a martial artist. He uses more of his gadgets and armor improvements to take down his foes, not his martial grace 2) In the showdown between Vane & Greef, I would have them roll opposing cool to see who acts first, then the winner would get to make the check 3) I personally would not allow my PC's to spend a destiny point to automatically kill an enemy, that would definitely be abused knowing my PC's But hey everyone GM's differently! All in all, great use of the rules to help show the storytelling of The Mandalorian. Look forward to seeing more!

I can totally see that! Speaking to number 3, it would depend on the group for me. With a single player campaign, I think it can make sense when a LOT of enemies.

Now technically, Din would have the Universal Spec of Death Watch. He may only be dipping his toes in a little bit here and there down the tree, but its a great specialisation to get all full on Mando. Great video Nate. Love it!

I liked this video alot. I've watched many videos about Star Wars FFG to better understand the game and yours gave a really good account on how the system would work. A good video on Starship combat would be to do the space battle between the Millennium Falcon and the 4 TIE fighters from the 1st movie.

Super cool concept ! The Bad Batch would be awesome indeed. Maybe sometimes I would have liked to know what is the mood around the table and how players feel or act more. I loved the deep dive in the rules too, don't get me wrong. It was impressive and a lot of work from your part. You can take this proposition or not, do what you like. If you have fun we will have fun.

Here's a thought: Bad batch, clone wars, and rebels arcs (or perhaps even novels) would all be dope to look at as a "how to convert this story/plot" into encounters to run in my view, especially considering the existing published official and unofficial material that might support it. I'm just thinking this might go more into the gm tips sort of video. But I'd be interested to see your thought process here... There's an existing story. Now, how to run it as an adventure!

Do you have any good tips for creating a 3 to 4 hour one shot?

When I plan a one shot, I plan the world and the reason behind the conflict and then I plan like 7-10 encounters that work in the scenario, and I can insert the encounters as i want / as they fit into the story / as we need to finish by a certain time.
