The reason Avengers worked so well was the fact that we did get all of those solo movies to set up their story arcs. If we don't do that, it's more likely the MCUs first team up movie would probably perform more like the Justice League.

SAME due to the lack of these "big heroes" Marvel took risk after risk with Thor, Ironman, Antman, Guardians, Black panther, Black widow, Hawkeye, Dr. Strange and it paid off!, thanks to that many of them are now A or even S tier heroes, they crafted carefully a world that feels organic and interesting with magic, sci-fi, espionage or cosmic settings well put together On the other hand Marvel could easily become like DC, being too big to fail make them comfy, batman is always the way to go, (and sometimes superman/flash) is not even dumb, is the logical step but due to that, the general audience doesn't know or care about characters like booster gold, martian manhunter, dr fate, blue beetle, green arrow or hawkgirl, cause they are "too little to be important" that feels bad. Batman alone carries magic, espionage and noir, while Superman takes the sci-fi/space stories

But The Suicide Squad (The one James Gunn made) was almost unanimously loved by those who have watched it. And he made Starro the Conqueror the villain of the movie which you gotta love when underutilized villains get their due! Also it introduced John Cena’s take on Peacemaker which is loved so much they changed the comics to fit that personality.

Ironically, from the looks of things, it seems like we're slowly inching into this scenario. Disney owns the X-Men and Fantastic Four, they just need to get along with Sony to use Spider-Man. By phase 7, the MCU will look like Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which is the best Marvel media to this day, imo.

Honestly feels like this version of the MCU is too dark. Too much emphasis on breaking down popular heroes from the get go, rather than building up any of the marvelous wonder they mostly are known for on tv. Almost feels like this is what the MCU would have been like if made by Snyder, rather than what if Marvel Studios had their flagship titles from the beginning.

To be fair, I think marvel killing off characters would be pretty accurate. The reason we didn’t get any major deaths in the mcu is because of the limited characters they had access to. They couldn’t risk killing off anyone besides quicksilver (who died in the same film he was introduced). If mcu had access to all marvel hero’s they wouldn’t be as fearful to take a risk and kill off a big character because they have multiple others to replace the slot

I feel like on all these, "what if Marvel had all the rights" videos, everyone acts like Iron Man was obscure enough to not have his own movie, but I feel he was actually still pretty popular before the MCU and I believe he would still have a pretty fair chance of getting his own movie. Here’s another idea which is a bit of a twist on this video. What if all the pre-2008 Marvel movies on other studios were made part of the MCU? Like how Feige originally intended for Raimi’s Spider-Man and Fox’s X-Men to be canon. I sometimes wonder how that would have worked and if that deleted Nick Fury scene was made canon. How would they affect movies like Iron Man 2, The Avengers? What would the other phases looked like when they started incorporating these characters? How would Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 have turned out when given the opportunity of playing with the wide world of the MCU, since he was never satisfied with the script in real life? How would have mutants and the Fantastic Four that we’ve gotten familiar with before, changed the course of the other phases? This would be a very interesting What If.

If I was redoing the MCU with all the Marvel characters I would keep everything the same as Lewis but keep The Thing alive in the second Fantastic 4 movie. I would instead have Dr Doom find a way to reverse the effects of the cosmic rays and badly injure Ben. In the post credit scene news of what Dr Doom did would give Bruce Banner the idea of reversing the effects of the gamma rays as well as Bolivar Trask the idea of a mutant cure. X-Men 2 would be about the cure and play a small role in Avengers Civil War, with the mutants who chose to retire taking the cure and giving up their powers. I'd keep Phase 3 mostly the same but add the addition of Professor Hulk to the Fantastic 4 and bring back The Thing for Avengers: Disassembled. The explanation for Professor Hulk's existence being explained in the third Fantastic 4 movie (Bruce experimented with gamma rays and the mutant cure caused him to merge with the Hulk), and an explanation on how Ben got hid powers back in Avengers Disassembled (Ben mixing the mutant cure with previous DNA samples as The Thing and a little bit of Jean Grey's Phoenix blood because it was cosmic).

And I would change one thing, I would probably either switch where Captain America’s movie and Hulk’s movies are, because I think Hulk was more popular than him before the MCU. But honestly I love what you did with civil war (other than I would maybe put it later), so I would want both cap movies before it, so maybe you could just add in another hulk movie that would come out before avengers, again because he’s so popular. Perfect world, best way to handle this is with restraint. Only mix in Fantastic 4 with Avengers during Infinity War (Silver Surfer taking Adam Warlock’s role from the comics and have Fantastic 4 be closer connected with him), you can have them team up with Strange and Ironman for a true planet hulk movie before that. Civil War could affect the following X-Men movie, and seperate Spiderman’s role in it into its’ own film (so that it feels expansive like it did in the comics). Infinity War might not be the best storyline to combine everyone together into (considering how much screen time Thanos needs) so maybe House of M would be better? Or Secret Wars? Let Infinity War be an Avengers movie with one or two X-Men and Fantastic 4

And xemn are the avengers counter part is the Xemn and not still the avengers because I fell the xmen could still be a big event without much setup unlike the avengers which is why they take the place of the gardians, and hulk wouldn't be apart of the gardians because the gardians don't interact with the rest of the mcu so that will staystay just all on earth.

In your version X-men and Avengers feel so... far to eachother. I think it doesn't work as it should. There has to be a principal team to follow the MCU story. If you put 2 at the same time (X-Men and Avengers) it will be confusing and people won't know which one is the PRINCIPAL.

Nice video, but i think there are a couple of things I would change about it. This would be my pitch for Phase 1 Iron Man (2008) same movie Uncanny X-Men (2008) This would feature a younger version of the X-Men (around college age) the lineup would be Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, and Ice Man. With Cyclops being our lens into the world of mutants. The villain will be Magneto. The Incredible Hulk (2009) same film Ant-Man (2009) This would be Edgar Wright’s version of the film and would feature Hank Pym as the protagonist. Janet won’t be getting the Wasp suit until the post credit scene Thor (2010) same film The Avengers (2010) this movie will be roughly the same besides for some changes. The lineup will be Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man, and Wasp. Instead of Thanos, the post credit scene will feature some S.H.E.I.L.D agents exploring a phenomenon they located in the arctic. One of them discovers a weird formation lodged deep in the ice. It looks to be a red and blue spangled disc with a star shape in the center, the scene would cut to black.

I had the idea that if Fox let Marvel use the Fantastic Four like Sony let them use Spider-Man, then Infinity War could have Sue tell Reed that she's pregnant and Reed is overjoyed. When Thanos snaps his fingers; Ben, Johnny, and Sue are turned to dust, with Reed being the only FF member left alive. Endgame would see him in a deep depression. More lonely and suicidal than Thor's mental and physical decline. He'd have grown a beard that he's sometimes shown with in the comics instead of his traditional clean-shaven look. He would be in Cap's group therapy session where we see how losing his family absolutely ruined him. He helps Tony figure out time travel (which would use the help of Wakandan Vibranium tech, leftover Pym Particles with Hank and Janet's shrink tech, Chitauri Energy Cores, and the imrpved Arc Reactor technology from Iron Man 2). He gets emotional seeing Tony's happy life with Pepper and Morgan and cries to himself after seeing what he almost had. Reed and Sue have a triumphant reunion in the final battle, similar to Hank finding Janet in the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Except this time it's more one-sided, as time seemingly never passed at all for Sue and she would comment on his new beard with confusion and he would just be so thankful to have her back. In the epilogue, we'd see the Four in a hospital room with a clean-shaven Reed holding his newborn son, Franklin, in his arms with tears of joy in his eyes. After so much pain in the past 5-6 years, he finally came out the other side a truly happy man.

Really like this :D My only objection would be introducing major Avengers members in other people's films during Phase 1, the reason the MCU Phase 1 worked so well was that it was so focused on setting up the Avengers, giving the four core members their own films with very little detours in each (minor characters like War Machine and Bucky being introduced but always being relevant to the story, not necessarily sign posting what was to come). Yes the MCU was later able to bring major characters in during other people's films (Black Widow and Spidey) but only after it had earned our trust. With that in mind, my pitch for Phase 1 would be; 1) Spidey 2) Hulk (Small Tony Stark cameo similar to Hawkeye in Thor) 3) Spidey 2 (Introduces Ant-Man and Wasp as supporting players) 4) Captain America 5) The Avengers (Spidey, Hulk, Ant-Man, Wasp, Cap and Iron-Man 6) Fantastic Four Then Phase 2 would focus on introducing the X-Men, giving a few sequels, and bringing it all together for Civil War (really like Civil War as a 2 part film by the way). Like you said, I'm glad circumstances forced the MCU to work out like it did, in hindsight there's really nothing I'd change about Phases 1 - 3 (except for maybe Black Widow and Hawkeye films), but it doesn't hurt to fantasise :D

I think the best love interests pathway for Peter Parker is to start with Gwen Stacey being his first love, then either kill her off or have them split. Then tease MJ but nothing too serious early on. Then somewhere in between introduce Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) and have them have a fling for a while as they have good chemistry. Ultimately they wouldn’t last and then finally go back to MJ who is his true love and have them marry in the future.

Im five min in and despite the great story telling and imagery i simply cant enjoy the video with the hypothetical that the solo untied in super hero movie to set off the "New MCU" is fantastic four...the movies before iron man could have EASILY kicked off the MCU we know and love today ESPECIALLY with the characters they DID have the rights too at the time i mean fox essentially rented the rights so once those films were made you could touch on other heros as your working to get the right of others. Movies dont get made in a week so youd have time. In my opinion the ONLY way you could have unequivocally done the MCU right is before avengers come out or shortly after pull a star wars and get the back story going build hype for the big finally dont just jump right in.

I was thinking about this these days remembering the early MCU days and actually... this could've happened, albeit not how we imagine. In 2007, Sony (Spider-Man), Fox (X-Men), Universal (Hulk) and New Line (Blade) had finished all their plans for their current Marvel movies, where Universal ended up accepting to include MCU elements in 'Incredible Hulk', even if they weren't really gonna do another movie. What if the other studios thought "wow, 'Iron Man' made a LOT of money, maybe we could also get in on this" and all of them worked together? In 2009, there could've been a Wolverine AND a Captain America movies, tying Magneto as Red Skull's secret weapon instead of the Tesseract. In 2012, there were the first new Spider-Man movie and the Avengers, so they could've linked both without crossing over. In 2015, there were the first new Fantastic Four and the Avengers sequel, so they could've drawn a connection between the teams with a shared villain like Molecular Man. I think it would've been crazy because it's the ultimate fan's dream to see the entire Marvel universe together on screen. Yeah, we would have problems along the way like we already do and we wouldn't get movies on less known characters like Guardians of the Galaxy or even Ant-Man until maybe Phase 3 or 4, but it is what it is. The real loss would be movies like 'Logan' because that would be way too much of a "what if..." story in a big shared universe. Of course, this is all considering Marvel would be producing so they would have to change the movies if they ended up like 'Fant4stic' or 'TASM2'.

You're forgetting marketing. Without the success of the mcu, but accesss to all their characters, they would have to start with something guaranteed to be a success like Spider-man, X-Men and Hulk. After a couple successes they could backtrack and do a prequel like Fantastic Four. Iron man was a gamble but they didn't have the rights to many big name characters, and so in a world where they had all their characters they wouldn't gamble on iron man or captain america right away. Afterall, logically, if you want a franchise you start with your best characters. And FF isn't that big compared to Spider-man. Basically, this whole universe would be different

I definitely would have done this way differently. I would have started with Hawkeye and black widow solo film, Captain America where he fights red skull and Baron Zemo. Iron man film similar to what we got just introducing the mandarin at the end. The a daredevil and punisher film where kingpin is the main villain. A blade film introducing Morbius. A spiderman origin where he faces shocker, vulture and mysterio, Introducing Norman Osborn by the end. Fantastic 4 film where the team is already established and dr doom is the main villain. X men movie similar to what we got where magneto is the villain. Thor movie where he is introduced to Hercules and and they have to battle ares god of war. Finally to round out phase 1 hulk film where he battles abomination. Second phase an avengers film where the main villain is Loki and this brings together everyone we saw in the original avengers film but with dare devil, spiderman and fantastic four helping. Afterwards another fantastic four film as a two parter introducing silver surfer and galactus. Iron man 2 film where Justin hammer and Whiplash are still the villains however hammer creates his super adaptoid. He needs thor and caps help to beat it. In doing this he sees Thor’s potential and creates the Thor buster just in case he needs it for the future. In Spiderman 2 we see Peter go to college and meets Gwen Stacy. His villains are the lizard and sandman. Daredevil 2 where he meets Electra, His villain is bullseye. Blade 2 he goes up against Dracula. He meets Black knight and by the end of the movie ghost rider is introduced. Ghost rider Vengence ghost rider teams up with Punisher helping punisher deal with the death of his family and the people that caused it. Thor 2 he meets enchantress and Scurge. The main villain is absorbing man. Captain America 2 where the main villain is crossbones and the serpent society which he gets help from spiderman. To end phase 2 Avengers 2 birth of Ultron. Tony meets Hank Pym and they create ultron. All the heroes have to battle him and his ultron bots. By the end they introduce falcon and moonknight

I dont think they wouldve even bothered introducing the avengers until phase 3 and mostly wouldve focused on spider man, fantastic four, hulk and xmen

We wouldn’t have gotten No Way Home because the movie wasn’t about the characters in itself it was about the films and the actors. We didn’t go to No Way Home to see 3 Spidermen and the villains we came to see Tobey Andrew Tom Wilem Dafoe Alfred Molina Jaime Foxx the guy who played the lizard the guy who played sandman

Well, I think starting with Cap is really the only was to go. Also having characters related to that era. I think the Howling Commandos, Wolverine would be introduced as well as the Human Torch. Then having the Wolverine Origin but with characters like Raven and stuff. I would then put up the X-men set up set in the late 80s where the X-men are much younger just like it was. It is important especially for X-Men Days of Future past storyline. Set up a Wolverine going through that period too, but not in the X-Men. Technically the comics are supposed to be in the 60s to late 90s but to have it “modern” it kind of hard for that. Set in the late 90s a Dr.Doom solo movie this is where we see how Doom become the ruler of Latveria and how Doom meets Reed and such, but he is not going to be the main villain of the Fantastic Four movie later, it will be the Mole Man. Then fast forward everything to 2005 and set up the Avengers origin, this is only the original members, not Captain America he goes later. After 2007 we set up characters like the defenders mainly Daredevil, Punisher and all of the b-list characters that we like. In 2007 introduces the Fantastic Four they are the first family, X-Men does need to be older given the comics because the characters need to be older later. Then in 2008 we have the Avengers film. Then we have some new characters introduced that should be in the timeline at this point between 2008-2010. This is where we have the second Avengers film which would have Captain America come back. During 2009 Spider-man’s origin would come out as a series instead of a movie, why because too many things happen in his origin, not only does he fight characters like Chameleon, who personally would just be one of the first Peter fights after Ben’s death. It is important that Peter needs to be aged for later story arcs. So a younger Peter actor as well as Gwen’s death and introduction of MJ. Of course all of this is when he is in college, but Peter’s life is very long to do these storylines. Also I had an idea that Goblin would not be the one to kill Gwen. I can explain why simply put it I think having Green Goblin being the reason for everything that happened to Peter during his 3 movies with introduction of Sinister Six, the show would have some of the members including Vulture and Electro. I also forgot to mention having the X-Men being in here in the timeline, there would have been a Wolverine and Hulk movie and Wolverine getting into the X-Men. So with the Spider-man show having Hobgoblin who is Miles Warren yes I know it is Ned Leeds in the comics. He then becomes obsessed of losing Gwen, now because we need to have Norman being the one to having Gwen dying is the fact that Miles tested a pre-goblin serum. This does make him insane, but Norman also took some and was exposed, Norman doesn’t know this. But becomes the Hobgoblin as well, not the Green Goblin is slowly becoming the dominant one this is where it develops after Gwen is captured by Miles as Hobgoblin, Norman Hobgoblin comes in and takes Gwen. Now since both Miles and Norman are not fully there, they don’t know what is going on so, after Gwen’s death Miles sees this as he returns to mind wearing the Hobgoblin suit. This makes him go insane thinking he killed Gwen. Peter then would find out that it is Miles who is the Hobgoblin after he reports himself to the police. He becomes the Jackal and will later have the clone saga. But this also makes Green Goblin still the one to do it, but to have it so later when he forms the Sinister Six to take down Spider-man it would break Peter a lot worse, that is wasn’t Miles who killed Gwen but Green Goblin. This is several years later once Peter is in college. So from 2010-2012 We have the second movies for the Avengers, the third Avengers film, the second Fantastic Four movie, the four X-men movie, and as well as other hero solo films like Iron Fist who comes back after many years. I am going to stop here but I will have a better timeline because this is long. I want to do as many storylines accurately and made better or just like the comics. A few changes are made so it just more impactful, like Hobogoblin, Green Goblin feels like he needs to be made more sparingly.

Good stuff here, but a little too all over the place. Definitely deserved to be double this videos length (people's attention span be damned! 😂) Ya juat gotta love Doom being the main big bad. That's why it's so crucial for MCU to NAIL his casting in real life
