The German "Reich" is most accurately translated as "Realm", as the person did above. It's often translated to "Empire", but it doesn't always mean that. For example, a "königreich" is a kingdom, or literally a "king-realm". A "kaiserreich" is an "emperor-realm", or in more common terms, an empire. It comes from a common Germanic root, "rici/riki" that you can find in English "Bishopric" (a realm ruled by a Bishop). You also find it in Gothic names, like "Alarik" (although in this case it doesn't really mean realm, but ruler of a realm - etymology is weird like that). Other Germanic languages also have the same word. Danish/Norwegian/Swedish all have "rike" (realm, state, empire).

Lord Of Cheese I'm not saying that the puppets would win the whole western war, they would simply hold them off or at least delay the push through Belgium until half of his army in Russia arrives. He also had divisions guarding the coast of north Germany he could have used. Also, France and Italy had enough divisions to do what I said in the first sentence.

Just like to say that Österreich is just the german name for Austria it´s still called that nowerdays. That word come from Ostmark(~1200year) which means east mark and after it bekome bigger it was called Österreich which is a bit change version of East reich so the East Kaiserreich was meant.... correct me if i´m wrong sry for my bad english i´m austrian.
