I may not yet be vegan. But your content has started my journey with an awareness that doesn't allow me to continue my current dietary habits and not feel the discord and resistance. A few years ago I would have just said just leave me be and let me eat what I want. Rather than ignore my habits I am trying hard to make adjustments one step at a time. From empathy. To tolerance. To ultimately active participation. . Thank you

Just FYI you're stat @0:58 from the our world data says that only 6 Mkm of that 80% is cropland used to feed the animals versus the 8Mkm used to feed humans. That means approximately 42% of all arable cropland is used to feed animals not 80%, because most grazing land is not suitable for crop production. Your point still stands, but it's not reflecting the data accurately. It's the thermodynamic laws that make it the case that going vegan saves more crop land E.G. the animal's body heat wastes calories that otherwise could have been directly consumed by humans. Thanks Mike.

Grazing land is still used for feeding animals.

@@mikebrigandi_ yea ofcz coz humans cannot graze, and rainfall is not enough to sustain a tree systems. you do not know the connection between the number of trees per square kilometers and rainfall pattern. If you do not harvest the grass it would simple be eaten by wild grazers. There are no farmers growing grass for cattle which could be diverted for human consumption.

if i only eat food chemically grown/printed without touching any animal, would that be ok?

i def support cultured meat, excited to see it take off in the next few years
@canete571Ай бұрын
Ok, but how many animal species die off due to being driven away from their habitats so people make more fields to cultivate the vegetals necessary to supply the entire world?
@user-u9g8mАй бұрын
It seems you have no understanding of trophic levels. The amount of space needed to feed humanity would be less if everyone ate plant-based.

except you forget that not every ecosystem can sustain trees. The Savannah system is different rainfall pattern that can ONLY allow grasses while humid maritime climate thrive the forest systems. The ecosystem of Brazil will automatically create forests on their own within 2 to 3 years, countries like chad, Mali, Burkina Faso they have goats and wild shrub lands that they sustain themselves with meat dairy and skin for leather, which wont be available with crops that big businesses sell and enrich themselves, so the video details is not accurate and you are pretty much pro big agro business because its veganised soy science.
