He’s also regular human age so he takes things with greater consequences as he self consciously feels like a mortal man. Thor is a warrior already thousands of years old. I disagree w/ Superman being able to take the Void (invulnerable and matter manipulation) or Black Winter (an equivalent to the Great Darkness on a smaller level and because of Thor's power scale in that encounter). I do have to disagree on the Superman vs Black Winter one because didn't Thor actually have to use Galactus as a bomb to destroy the Black Winter? I know that Galactus has low end feats, but he also has high ones as well, so it's only fair you use the high feats of some of the characters the same as the low feats. Yes Galactus is one of the biggest jobbers, which is why I think his high feats we should go by. I also read somewhere that the writers had made a Justice League tease in the beginning of the Black Winter run where it had showed Black Winter destroying their universe. I know it was not the true Justice League but I feel the writer was trying to say that is what would of happened if they were the Justice League, but even if we do not accept that I do not see a way Superman can win here.

This is the kinda BS when you see way to much had and power creep. Superman should be simply a science based superhero who derives his abilities from harnessing yellow sunlight. Mortal yet incredibly powerful stronger, faster, with greater invulnerability than Thor an immortal. That though is where it should end. Superman should have no shot AT ALL against skyfather level opponents. Their innate mystical make up should be simply beyond his physical abilities or energy attacks while he would be easily depowered or neutralized like any other mortal being. Now apparently Superman is not an alien from another world but a god of hope which is a hax a plot device able to make him as powerful or untouchable as the writer needs him to be. Don’t fret though Marvel has done the same BS to their characters nowadays where there really can be no power scale anymore. Aunt May and Jimmy Olson can beat Galactus and Darkseid if they really feel like it to the writers. Thats why I haven’t bought a comic in years, I cannot suspend my disbelief anymore to enjoy a good story the inconsistencies constantly remind me it’s not a real world even in its own universe but just some person who doesn’t know or care what a character should and shouldn’t be capable of but just has to come up with something to get a paycheck.

He also has cosmic energy/radiation manipulation (which is like everything-light, heat, plasma, etc.) and he basically can’t be detected by anyone with infrared vision. This is the same Silver Surfer that can fully recover from complete atomic destruction and has lived nearly 15 billion years. I just… think the scaling is off. And Superman has been beaten and slapped around from some clowns too. I just think Silver Surfer is underestimated is all.
