This is now the version I’ve replaced in my head cannon instead of what happened to him in the movie. This version is very close to what I imagined his journey to be before I saw the movie too. I imagined Thor going off on dozens of drunken battles only to realize there is actually something he can do to change things. Actually, he could have been fit through two ways in the original movie. 1: using the time machine invented by Professor Hulk, which in my opinion is an entirely underrated machine that basically guarantees youth and immortality. Or, 2. he could use the time travel chance wasted by Antman to better himself, just like in Thor 4.
