Technically that is true, but sadly, it doesn't work that way. Edit: IMHO, the only way that we could turn Earth into Earth (I assume that by saying 'Earth' you mean restoring it to its original state) is humans leaving the planet and letting it restore itself.

Carl Sagan made the first proposed method of terraforming Venus was made in 1961. In a paper titled “The Planet Venus“, he argued for the use of genetically engineered bacteria to transform the carbon in the atmosphere into organic molecules. However, these bacteria would have to be engineered to survive immense heat, pressure and acid rain. Not impossible to do, but definitely pushing biology to its limits.

Venus would probably be the easiest planet to terraform. A planet sized solar shade could freeze the carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, which would thin the atmosphere and reduce the pressure and temperature (and the CO2 snow could then be scooped up and transported to Mars to thicken up its atmosphere, increasing its pressure and temperature). That sounds like a ridiculously massive project. But all terraforming projects are ridiculously massive. It's just not the sort of thing a civilization at our level can do. But in a century or two (or possibly three) it maybe perfectly viable.

Instead of Mars/Venus, why he/we doesn't/don't make/ convert deserts into a habitable area, there is lots of surface there, many people can live there ( if there are the conditions). Big cloud project : You can make/produce a( thick harmless) giant cloud above Africa/ deserts ( covering it all), it can decreasing 30% of heat, or more . Thermos project : You can make giant thermos in deserts , building cities inside it , but filling its walls with air( not with vacuum),that is easier , important is to be the dark/ shadow between two walls of giant thermos, that is sufficient , is it not necessary to make vacuum inside the walls of thermos , but is sufficient be /set the dark/shadow between two walls of thermos, that is sufficient to create a cool area inside the thermos( without vacuum),( similar things ), so it is giant thermos almost( it is not exactly a thermos). Hole project : You can dig/ pierce make make a giant hole inside ( under of surface of deserts building many cities/neighborhoods inside it( like giant thermos inside it ) , it would be cool weather( normal temperature )there , ( under the surface) Floating islands( project) : You can choose/ find positions on ocean's surface which has normal temperature ( cool weather) and build floating islands there . There is a lot of surface there.

Venus is. But she's the ugly twin. She requires a LOT of work.

It would be more expensive to bring Venus’ atmosphere and temperature back to it once was a billion years ago than Mars. The core will also have to be reheated to bring back the magnetic field in order to sustain the terraformed atmosphere. Not to mention the sun’s luminosity will continue to rise and whatever technology may be available will also have to compensate for the more intense solar winds battering the newly developed magnetic field and atmosphere in it. If and when humanity manages to reach the point where we start colonizing planets, Mars would be the easier and cheaper target to terraform as all you have to do is reheat the core so the magnetic field can be restarted to protect complex lifeforms from cosmic radiation bombardment.

What if we just take care of our own earth and fix its problems like how they fix problems on other planets? 🤔

We could try using asteroids to create a dynamo affect to speed up venus’s day, like the one suggested in the moon terraforming episode, it’d also help bring water in as well

I'm sure a big part of any colonization effort would be the creation of space infrastructure around Venus. This would mean harnessing the atmosphere to make huge amounts of polymer and nano-materials as space building materials. Imagine an artificial ring or station/moon created from carbon-based materials sourced from the Venus atmosphere. This could not only sequester a huge amount of the atmospheric carbon but provide an actual commercial reason for developing the planet.

Could the solar shades meant to cool down Venus be used to supply energy to it too? Also, wouldn't it be better, to fix Venus' slow rotation, to artificially speed it up (if it's doable)?

I’m just gonna say this but what about the sun becoming a red giant mercuary Venus and Earth definitely get inside it,a better option is Mars and if that is inside the red giant possibly Pluto if we bring warming pipes?
