Xenos are super scary with future weapons in over and under crawling hidey holes but one good US military base with clear sightlines for miles around the perimeter would hold off swarms of them easily.

Something like that was tried in Starship Troopers 😉 it didn't go well. But sure, I am always surprised with the level of ideas in movies. Like fighting zombies for example 🤯

@@ScienceBeyondReality Starship Troopers had flying and burrowing enemies, some really bad handheld only weapon setup too, no tanks or APCs or LAVs or whatever they call them, no mounted machine guns except the anti air, and it looks like thousands of bugs, I was thinking more like aliens pressing by the 100s, but ya if it was that many I guess any old base would be gone. If it wasn't contained fast, humanity would be down to living on nuclear subs and aircraft carriers probably, some sort of Into the Night flying refueling thing, if there are no alien dolphins or condors or whatever lol.

@@PhillipJermakian I'm sure they would breed from everything that moves. And about the numbers, in my mind comes that image from the beginning of Alien vs. Predator I think, where swarms attack those Pyramids 😱

The inner set of jaws that pop out is actually based on a real creature. The Moray Eel , it has what is known as Pharyngeal jaws.

@@ScienceBeyondReality I hope, but it's supposed to predate the film Alien, which is supposed to be mankind's first encounter with the Xenomorph. And after Romulus, I lost a little faith in the direction of the franchise. I hope it's good.

But their biology is very adaptable. Sure, some diseases could work in the beginning, but they would probably adapt with time
