I remember my middle school science teacher telling me about this (someone dying from drinking so many bottles of water without urinating in an attempt to win a gaming system) when I was in 6th or 7th grade (about 10 years ago now). He explained it by saying that your body essentially creates poison and that when you feel the need to use the bathroom, you shouldn't hold it indefinitely. He also mentioned something about your brain swelling when you drink excessive amounts of water without urinating, which is another reason this so dangerous. He also mentioned that if he remembered correctly, the person who won drank one more bottle than her; that person was taken to the hospital, but survived.

Lindsay it how these videos make people overreact. It like this. News: Rollercoaster stops at 200 feet high! General Public: Rollercoasters are dangerous! People make the video like it’s super dangerous and gullible people fall for it (not that why were tricking them) but saying the risks apparently make them not do the said thing.

My principle actually brought the entire school together to lecture us about how you can die from drinking too much water we were, probably year 2003, this has been known, also drinking water when your thirsty means your already dehydrated. Sometimes your body thinks you are hungry, but really you are dehydrated.
