I come back to Warframe every now and then to enjoy the gameplay for until I get tired of the endless grind, take a break and rinse repeat. Voice actors for the tenno would go a long way to make the grind more tolerable for me, though only if it was of the same quality as this (the space kids' voice actors are terrible). Big Spoilers: Warframes are somewhat sentient because they used to be soldiers that were subservient to the Orokin. After they got infected with the infestation they basically lost their minds, but those soldiers still remained deep within their subconsciousness. With the help of the Ten-0 children and their void powers, the orokin managed to calm and control these infested soldiers (Warframes). So as a punishment for betrayal, Ballas turned a Dax soldier into Excalibur Umbra and had him retain his memories as a way of torture (Since the dax soldier killed his son in the transformation process). That's why Umbra is the only warframe that is somewhat sentient. The rest of the warframes are mostly empty husks by now and any resemblance of their previous lives is somewhere deep within their subconsciousness which is being repressed by the bolts that are restricting the warframes (and allow for transferrance at the same time)

If my Tenno talked, at first they'd be groggy, irritable and incredibly destructive having just been woken up and not being a "Morning" Person so to speak. After they'd woken up more, they be a lot more laid back. Akin to Sonic the Hedgehog personality wise. With lots of puns. Until someone pissed them off, then they're closer Nero from Devil May Cry. Brutal, agressive and still somewhat snarky. Though push them to far, and they become more akin to Godzilla going on a Rampage.

I mean... Doesn't the warframe talk anyway? Yeah, they don't speak in missions or cut scenes but when placed in a situation where you most choose like deciding the fate of the corpus girl (I forget the mission she was in) seems to allude to the fact that they can indeed talk. Heck, in the war within quest, you can see that the tenno can communicate through there warframe when speaking with teshin. It's entirely possible that they were doing it that before the second dream happened. Of course, this is just an assumption with just a two evidence which doesn't prove much to back it up, so take it with a grain salt.

we have had talking warframes since valkyr. well talking at the best of how a victim of the technocyte virus could talk. warframes are made from humans, the strain on technocyte used in all the warframes we use (excluding umbra, and nidus who is not a warframe, he is a prototype) is the same, excluding the the information each that allow of the flesh that grows over the chassis and human body to give the warframe its final refined look (control over the technocyte virus by the orokin was a fine art dude to the work in the warframe project and trying to make the creatures fight for them before learning the void tainted could project onto them. the orokin used the technocytes programmability to produce vast amounts of gold before the warframe project even began.) but back to the talking warframe thing. currently 3 warframes have their own voices and can talk, saryn sound during her 4th ability that is similar to a cats screech, valkyrs enraged crys during her war cry, and umbras sad crys over the lose of his son during his radial blind. thats the best of how they can talk bla bla bla lore bla bla bla theorys bla bla bla
