Nice to see Doom 3 as a project. Here's to hoping that it'll turn out to be a fun project. Anyways, due to how they seem to bear, at best, a loose resemblance of classical Christian demons and devils, and at worse, none whatsoever, ever since I had played the original Doom as a child in the 90s, I had always thought that the vast majority of these so-called "demons" could've passed as aliens or extradimensional beings of a possibly Lovecraftian type (like the alien beings in Half-Life). If I were in the player's shoes, then I probably would've thought the same, seeing those demons as nightmarish extradimensional monsters, and their home dimension as more of a metaphorical Hell instead of a literal Hell... at least until I reflect upon the lore some more and start seeing them as the demons incarnate that they were.

I personally had a blast with it and loved it. Just go in viewing it as its own thing and more of a horror game than a more typical Doom game like Doom 2016 or Eternal, and I think you'll enjoy it

I was so excited to get to the next episode I didn't even realize this was posted only a few hours ago! Doom 3 was such an underrated game. Yes, it deviated from the "formula" and the eventual remake we got definitely set the tone far better, but Doom 3 (in my eyes) was the Halo ODST of its time. An imperfect installment but one with a LOT of fun potential if you're willing to give it a try. So happy to see you doing a WITT for this (now old) classic.

would love to see a video "what if you talked in attack on titan 2" since you essentially play as your own custom character...or "what if Triger talked in Ace Combat 7" since both dont talk, plus with the high g's being pulled would be funny to hear how you guys make them react, plus the potential for you to make them scream when being attacked would be hilarious

I did a What if Trigger talked in Ace Combat 7 I made my version of Trigger excited to serve his country against the Eurusian invasion during the first half of the game despite him being distraught over Brownie's death, and the President's escape craft getting shot down, Prison and being part of the Penal Unit making him more serious and introspective aka him believing he's nothing more then the wolf whose duty is to complete the objectives given to him by the Alpha aka the AWAC for Spare Squadron is during missions with him being upset over Champ getting shot down and killed by Brownie's killer, along with him not even focusing on Count's failed attempts to one-up him during missions, him being pissed at Count when Count did something stupid like fly into enemy territory during that one mission, and stepping up to become the "pack leader" that's needed when Spare Squadron was released from prison and became Strider Squadron and is named the squad leader. But regardless of what happened Trigger still a noble heart and tries to ensure the objectives were completed with everyone in the "pack" comes home alive.

You're not done with DOOM 3 even if you finish this series as if you have the BFG Edition you'll have to do the expansion/sequel storyline DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil which continues the adventure of Doomguy, and if you want to the expansion storyline The Lost Mission which sees you play as a member of Bravo Team during the initial demon invasion.

Doom three actually is in the same universe. It just happens on a different part of Mars in Mars city, and it’s a couple years before Doom 4 because there are images in hell of the original doom guy, fighting a bunch of demons on Mars thousands of years ago, with a high tech cube that the Martians developed before going extinct because a Demons. And hell is in a different dimension/time so doom guy did travel back in time by accident since the Martians use wormhole technology which can travel through time.

Resurrection of evil was my first doom game as I never had a PC as a kid and it was on Xbox. Still my favorite even though the fan base kinda hates on it for trying to be more of a horror game than run and gun action
