Two Worlds came out about half a year before the first Witcher game. However, remember that the Witcher games were preceded by a series of short stories and novels that had been a fixture of nerd culture in Poland since the 80's, and that Reality Pump is a Polish studio. The vague similarity to Geralt is probably still intentional.

The fact that the dev team voiced the lines makes me want to play it.

After spending the majority of the day watching your videos, I have realised the fact that we aren't friends may be the most depressing thing I can think of. 🤣🤣🤣

As a kid I knew the game was bad but I loved playing this with my friends online we all had high level characters one of my friends was above level 900 on his main character honestly if the game wasn't so laggy with its FPS drops it will be an absolute gem in my opinion. Two Worlds 2 looks a lot better runs a lot better but it lost a lot of the RPG charm that's the first one has. I have a core memory of the first game where I went to GameStop with my cousin to buy the game for him got it for like $2 when we got him online I got him some pretty cool heavy armor and he tried to cross a river with it and ended up drowning because he never leveled up his swimming skill and lost the armor still one of the funniest memories I have of us playing that game.

God i remember playing this game when i was 20 years younger and just starting in highschool. I remember not having a clue where i was going or what i was doing, and wound up finding my way to a city where all the buildings were japanese inspired, and the guards were all samurai. I remember getting into endless fights with the local guards and grabbed one of their katana's for myself and somehow figured out not only how to enchant stuff, but that i could "fuse" weapons together endlessly to make them stronger. I enchanted my Katana to do spirit damage (so i could kill ghosts which in this game are pretty much unkillable unless you've elemental damage of some sort) and kept killing the guards, taking their katana's and fusing them into mine until eventually i left the city with a katana that did over 6000 damage and pretty much one-shot anything you pointed it at. It made quick work of the final boss who i also have little idea how i even found xD

You should play Two Worlds Two when you're done. The magic system in both of these games were so great. The jank was definitely something to be desired, but I enjoyed it back in 07'.

When I went through this whole game. I skipped this whole main quest entirely since I wasn't really into RPGs. So I popped over a wall and started exploring the world accidentally stumbing on 'main quests'. I just remember devouring enemy body parts for stats. And becoming super powerful from exploiting the broken game entirely. Because I jumped over a fence. Most of the NPCs didn't even load in. So I was mainly fighting in unloaded chunks.

i enjoyed this game, but in a "so bad it's good way" like i had a ton of fun messing around in it, but it's defo some jank and the dialogue is perfection.

i loved two worlds so much as a kid i explored the entire map, and though it's utterly dogshit in retrospect, it had some ideas and mechanics that were somewhat fun to play around w at the time, i loved the variety of different biomes and the different types of people and magic, the game sorely needed more time and polish but it was pretty fun honestly

I tried to explore the whole map on a recent attempt to play the game for a second time. I finished it once, years ago, remembering nothing about it really, but I know I basically never wandered from any roads because there were no quests outside of them. I can now definitively state that 99% of the map outside roads and towns or quest locations is empty, there's nothing there. 80% of the game world as a whole in this is just completely empty lmao They could've just had this game be like 1/4 the size and it would've felt fuller, if anything, because there'd be so much less empty space.

9:04 - My dude, the game ran like that at launch. On every platform. It is absolutely not a 'new hardware' problem. You've always been able to count every frame of movement in this game by eye lmao Just wait till you get to combat. The game nearly crashes with every swing of a sword. It wasn't just compared by anyone to Oblivion. It was written on the box "Like Oblivion on Steroids!!!" I was stoked for this game. I took it back within the day lol. I hate this PoS. I bought it again a few years ago because I had seen a few videos in later years. Nah. Sorry. Instant regret. Will never have fond memories of this but am glad others can get something out of it.

Howling at the voice acting. Even if they are rando's from the office, I mean, do they not ever have a dialogue irl? I should hope any normal person knows how to speak in a normal voice lol.
