When Pastor Mike Bamiloye wanted to start Mount Zion Drama Ministry, it was church people that criticised him and demonized his vision. Today, we are grateful to God that the man didn't give up. As a body we need to learn to discern and avoid fighting "new" things we don't understand. Afrogospel has come to stay, more grace to Gaise, Greatman, Limoblaze, Prinx, Andendlessocean, Moses Bliss and the host of many others. God bless your labours.

Mike Bamiloye (and filmmakers in his genre) created the foundation for a lot of theological falsehood and dishonesty in the Nigerian church. It's a very telling sign of spiritual immaturity if you can look back on those films and still resonate with the message. Those church people may have been right to criticise him.
@MwaleWaGitau2 күн бұрын
@@SickkkkidddddThe point being made is Drama as a ministry was fought & criticized by established churche authorities. As for theology we can argue till tomorrow 😅 The reason we have many churches in the world yet only One Bible 📙 is the difference in understanding and interpretation - Theology. Revelation is progressive and that's why we have seen some Pastors recall some of the messages they preached many years ago. Being human means mistakes will be made. A calling is to an individual & not a Conference call. Glad He understood His calling and stuck with it against all odds because gospel Drama/Movies are definitely a weapon of war ⚔️ ⚔️ ⚔️

@@DENOFREVIVALISTS 1. He had an oversimplification of his depiction of hell, heaven, angels and demons. I know this because... well, no one has ever seen an angle/demon before and no one has been to heaven/hell before. 2. He leveraged fear-based evangelism on his audience perpetuating the idea that God is only to be feared. My faith in God has evolved beyond fearing him and I don't think I want to introduce anyone to a God they can ONLY fear. 3. His constant obsession with spiritual warfare. Anyone observing christianity from the outside will think all we do is fight satan every day with prayer and fasting, oblivious to the fact that millions of christians are living deliberate, happy and peaceful secular lives without the need to rattle in tongues at demons every day.

As a comic illustrator and aspiring animator, i had this same battle in this area. I was troubled because i love drawing comics and telling these stories. I remember i just wanted to give it all up and just focus on god and the temple but after some experiences, i began to have the thoughts of bringing God into this and using it as a medium to touch the world. I had this understanding in my heart for a long time and now i saw this and i canot describe how this just moved me now. I just pray for more of God's direction and strength on this.

25:53 If afro gospel entertainment does not carry God's presence, check the driver of the vehicle that is been transported. God presence can be carried through entertainment. I have watched Christian movies and felt God's presence, that should be same for Christian afro beats or comedy. The presence of God can be potent even in our entertainment if we allow and ready to recieve.

I am a minister of the gospel specifically pastoring a church in Uganda 🇺🇬 but to be honest this episode was timely, I have been having all such thoughts concerning the body of Christ and seeing our brother Gaise Baba bring all this to light is mind blowing. All in all Christ being a doctrine in our lives is key. I mean using every sphere of influence we are in to paint Christ to every man on the face of the earth is been and will be my all time desire. Thank you so much sir once more Ap Femi and min Baba for this. You don't know how much you have recharged my Spirit. This is another more reason for me to visit Nigeria 🇳🇬

I have been following Stories for quite sometime now, all the way from Freetown, Sierra Leone, and I've been so blessed. I heard about Gaise Baba in one of Ty bello's song 'That's my name' and I was blessed by that song. It became my favorite for a long time. Hearing Gaise Baba speak today has rebranded and motivated me to press along this line of my calling to use my creative skills and talent to inspire and reach my world. No wonder I was drawn to him. Just as God instructed Moses to located the skilled and talented Craftsmen to build Him the Ark of the covenant I believe God is inspiring a breed that will use their talent to reach out to our world. Hearing him explain the revelation behind Ephesians 4 is a never heard. I know God is calling and pulling us strongly to herald a revival like never be seen before. God bless you Apostle Femi Lazarus. Thank you for such a interview as this. We will continue to wait and obtain grace to grow and nurture this mandate. All love from Sierra Leone 🇸🇱.

I listen to and love Afro-gospel but that was the first time God was asking me to go and listen to an afro-gospel to give me a message. I put it on replay and actually paid attention to the words and I was answered. I felt this calm and peace and that day I realised that when we open up and don't choose channels for God, we give Him more room to reach us.

I’m so blessed by this podcast! It’s such a relief to see someone with this mentality. This is the mindset of evangelism in a beautiful dimension. As Christians, we ought to live our lives in the way of Christ and practice His teachings in our daily lives. I know for sure that many people will call you “pastor” once you begin to reflect Christ through your character in any setting you find yourself. It’s a norm in Nigeria, but we must keep reminding ourselves that we are first Christians, and that’s how we ought to operate, no matter where we find ourselves. That is literally the message. You don’t need a pulpit to preach Christ, nor do you need to be in a religious setting to share His message. Right from your workplace, your home-literally anywhere you find yourself-it’s an opportunity to express Christ in any way possible. We ought to be a mobile message for Christ.

This podcast shifted my thinking In seeing things from a different perspective. I used to see afro gospel songs as not holy enough to listen to. This is because some of the slang used in these songs are also used on the streets and even by cultists and afrobeat musicians. Also the beat sounds so similar to Afrobeat which pastors tells people not to listen to because of the encoded messages and other things that it promotes( like nudity, premarital sex, drug abuse, sorcery,foul languages, internet fraud etc). But I now understand that though they may not sound like the general acceptable sounds and melody we are used to in the church, they are a tool for evangelism; because it draws the people of the world in, with the catchy sounds and melody,and while they're listening, the Spirit of God convicts them. However,I still feel that we should pay attention to the lyrics used in the Afro gospel songs,so that it does not become counterproductive. Special thanks to AFL and the invited guest.

Everyone is Minister *The Gospel should be taken to the world not recycled in church *God cannot be boxed *Music(arts in general) is a weapon. Use it wisely *Know your history. The history of Nigeria, Africa too. The history of the church in Africa. The history of ministry in Nigeria. The history of all church doctrines in Nigeria. Thank you Gaise Baba, for being bold enough to say it as it is.

This to me, is so inspiring, and this is giving definition and more clarity to what God has been revealing through His word. Thank you, AFL and Gaise Baba

Thank God for you Gaise. Some folks who have claimed to be doing "Afro-gospel" before now may need to humble themselves & learn Gaise's definition. He is speaking from the level of light God has brought him into which they may not have caught yet. I doubt if this would have been their definition of Afro-gospel. It may shock anyone to realize that some among them may have been seeing themselves as Christian alternatives to the Davido & wizkid of this world. I hope his definition is not used only as a defense but as a guide in expressing their gifts. Whatever the case, caution shouldn't be thrown in the wind, there are thin lines. Grace unto you Gaise baba.

I've always been amazed by the move of God through Gaise Baba. One of the things that stood out for me is that God is too big to be boxed in our shallow thinking snd religious minds. There's more of God to men beyond the temple.
