I am Chinese, these interviews are very interesting, for Chinese people, most Chinese people have a good impression of Iran, on the one hand, because we all have a long ancient civilization, on the other hand, maybe because of Jin Yong's novel on Zoroastrian and the novel of an Iranian girl "Xiao Zhao". The interviewees' understanding of China is actually relatively simple. If they come to China once, they may have a great change.

Im Iranian-American that lived in China for 6 years. Sometimes people would ask what my ethnicity was and I would say yilang ren (iranian). There was always a positive response from chinese people. They would often mention the historical friendship of the 2 countries and how important their relationship will be in the future.

I gather, rather than genuine friendship it's likely a case of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend', since the 2 governments are against the western liberal democracy & capitalistic system & mores.

No mắn. They respect the ancient civilization. I’m Iranian Canadian and have been living in China for 8 years. I’ve spent significant amount of time in Egypt and Greece as well. Ancient civilizations have a deeper understanding of each other than young western nations. They know Persians as a civilization; not as a nation state that has been against America for the past 40 years. It’s something an American would not understand. Talking to Americans is like talking to teenagers. They don’t understand anything that beyond a few decades.

Usually the Iranians I knew felt very much in common with South Americans, because also Iranians are very warm hearted people and have a southern temperament, which is usually more hidden. I was at the Mexican embassy in Iran and it was interesting for me, how similar they were, even normally Iranians don’t show the southern temperament a lot in public, it’s also a secret part of their personality, as I could see. And my experience was, that Iranians welcomed all foreign countries, because they are a isolated country and they are very happy to meet foreign people, no matter from where they are, because they are curious and interested.

As an ethnic overseas Chinese from SE Asia, my interaction with the Chinese from China has been both and bad. I guess this is nothing different from any other countries when you visit and interact with the people in the country. But having been born and grow up in a different country though Chinese myself, my thinking, lifestyle and food habits will definitely differ from them. I think the people are generally good, it's just the govt and political freedom there which I feel do not endear to people who are used to some form of political democracy. Still they have very beautiful and diverse natural scenery and an even more diverse ethnicities which a lot of outsiders don't know. To the iranians, you can find your close cousins in the Tashkurgan county in western china. There are also uyghurs, tajiks, tatars there that would look just like you. Not gonna lie though cus I’m also an overseas Chinese… we do have a bias on China from the western perspective…. I also grew up with a negative view on China but since all this anti China rhetoric recently I felt brainwashed…. Western news is really filtered on China (goes both ways too) like think about it where do they get the news. They don’t understand the general public and just take the governments words at face value which creates over exaggerated news headlines. It’s really one sided. Think about it are any news of China even positive? It’s not even neutral…. Ofcourse China has issues like tons of it but it’s really not as negative as the western media paints it as. U have to look at China with another perspective and the west is not willing to try cus it clashes with their own beliefs. Both sides live in a world with filtered lenses on both sides. Unlike u ….I have a more positive view on China nowadays wow right. But it’s because I’m willing to deep dive on the news more like see it from both sides.

You may be wondering what made me say that even though it seems so obvious? My brother, I want to tell you that these words are fought by everyone. Yes, do not be surprised. Even there are those who are trying to distort their image. If you do not understand me now, I will simply tell you that it is the religion that has been subjected to a major distortion attempt, that it is Islam. My dear reader, I am a Muslim, I live in the Middle East, and I tell you that the image you saw of us is wrong. We are not terr.orists nor cannibals. We only believe that there is no god but ALLAH, and we love helping others without account. It is certain that in every society there is good and bad, but we cannot be all bad . Brother the reader, look for us and know for yourself who we are and what our religion is. We are the caretakers of our parents when they grow up and we advise our children not to look too much at women in the streets so that they can take comfort. I invite you, brother, and you are free to know a little about Islam. Peace be upon you.

I think he emphasized on the 'strange' aspect of it, and it kind of true. For example, the Chinese Government apparently banned Winnie the Pooh because of a joke that the president looked like him ... which is pretty strange LOL.

The Chinese government did not ban Winnie the Pooh at all, that was brainwashed by the Western media, there are many people using Winnie the Pooh as their profile picture and related pictures on Chinese social media. It's hard to buy Winnie the Pooh dolls offline because of Disney's patent policy, and the Shanghai Disneyland is full of Winnie the Pooh.

@@पवनकुमार-त2द Nonsense. Zoroastrianism is only one of many religions to have taken root in the Iranian lands. Before and simultaneously with Zoroastrianism, Iranian paganism was the dominant religion, why shouldn't they convert to that, then? Islam has shaped Iran and is an inextricable part of its history, culture and intellectual tradition. The synthesis Shiite Islam with the preexisting Iranian culture is what is so unique about it, and it would be a tragedy (apart from being obviously impossible) to exchange that for a fetishized "return" to a religion almost no iranians ever practiced or care for. If you don't love Iran because of Islam, I'm afraid you won't ever love Iran, and should leave Iranians to determine what is and isn't theirs, and what is best for them.

The way Iranian women behave in the name of protest it's extremely disrespectful. Millions of muslim sisters around the world fighting for their religious obligation to wear hijab and to protect their modesty to honour the words of our beloved Prophet (SAW). Being a muslim, we felt extremely disgraceful and extremely hurt by the women of Iran. My condolences for family of dead soul, if someone can pass the massage to this family, i want say to them please don't let your child's death into an excuse of exploitation of faith, don't let it be an excuse to insult the words of Prophet Muhammad ( SAW), don't let your child's death be an excuse to denounce the honour of the lady of jannah, Fatima ( RA) . May Allah save us from such crisis. May Allah revive our iman. Please convey to my massage if possible.

Be Quiet. This is our affairs. If we want to protest we have every right to do it how we see fit.
@simonbutelerdellepiane55642 жыл бұрын
Women have a right to protest whenever their rights as human beings aren't being recognized. Your inversion of blame and responsibility from the authoritarian theocracy which killed a young woman for "not wearing her veil properly" to the women and men protesting that is disgusting.

Hate to break it to you, but nobody cares how you feel. What about the feelings of these oppressed men and women who are literally dying for their freedom? They have every right to protest and choose what they want to wear. The government should never interfere with that and enforce religion upon people. They are fighting for their freedoms. The girl that was murdered from the “morality” police was a human being, a daughter, a sister, a woman. Who gave them disgusting and vile beings the right to kill her because of a freaking headscarf? Do better!
@HeyyyyStephen2 жыл бұрын
Iranian women are fighting for their right to choose their beliefs and the way they dress. How come almost all of them that live outside of iran choose to not cover themselves? Because they don’t want the hijab. Why should this be enforced if they don’t want it. Let alone killed because they refuse to do so.
