I love the Coupes. I own a 1970 Ford Mustang Coupe grande and even though the fastback is beautiful too, I prefer the coupe.

We like coupes as well. I owned 66 and 67 coupes. When the fastback became available at a price I could except I had to buy the more valuable option. But I would love to own another one. Even a 6 cylinder as they are much cheaper. Although I prefer the 67 coupe over the earlier ones I would buy whatever is available at a good price.....👍

Everybody in this thread is out of touch with current prices. 5-10k gets you a car you still will have to put another 10-15k in. Used, new, and classic cars are at an all time high.

Here is how I price vehicles I sell. What can you buy and what is for sale/available for the money they offer? You can’t find mustangs in that condition anywhere for less that 9-10k
@TheSmellofGas
@TheSmellofGas 3 жыл бұрын
I don't disagree. We just wouldn't pay that price. Mustangs that have been stored outside uncovered for years could have rusty floors, frame rails, etc. that may need to be replaced. Here in california, that could prove to be very expensive. Not a price we are willing to pay, but you are right, somebody will. lol👍

Fellow in my neighborhood has a 65 fastback sitting in his yard. It has been there for over 39 years . I don't know the history of this vehicle but from its appearance both exterior and interior it needs a lot work. He is willing to sell it but is asking far more than what it is worth. Such a shame to see it sitting there going to waste.
@TheSmellofGas
@TheSmellofGas 2 ай бұрын
Yep. See that a lot. Old Classic cars with a story sitting for extended periods with no hope of being placed back in service anytime soon. When you inquire about the vehicle, it's not for sale, or the price is unreasonable .

Idk where you live. But here in Cali V6 mustangs 65-70 sell for 5-7k in those conditions. The V8 sell for 8-15k. I bought my C code with minimal surface rust, beautiful floor pans & trunk area with a running original 289 for 9,000$. All the ones I’ve seen posted in that range sell pretty fast too even at the higher price range. The cheapest I’ve seen for sale is a 66 same condition as the V8 in this video non running for 8k
@TheSmellofGas
@TheSmellofGas 3 жыл бұрын
We are in California as well. Unfortunately youtube does not let you make corrects like they used too so we are both talking about the inline 6 vs V8. I'm in California as well. I personally would not pay 7k for the V8 listed in this video. It's been outside for at least 3 years. Rust/body repair is far more expensive to repair than engine and drivetrain. The price you paid is what I would look for. If a person pays 5k-7k for cars shown in this video it would cost way more than a final price of 9k to get them in the same condition as your! You did good! Thanks for watching!
