64 Mustang was the first car I fell in love with. I was 9 years old; an English kid in Minnesota for 3 years. Years later and back living in U.K. an outlaw (in-law) of mine has a fully restored 64 Mustang in his garage. Completely stripped down to its bare bones and rebuilt up from its chassis up. It has a 402 cu in power plant. It's in Red and looks stunning. Now I'm 66 years old and I love this Mustang as much as when I first clapped eyes on one - (plus our neighbour gave me a ride in it after asking my Guardian for permission) My Uncle had a Galaxy 500 at the time. If I ever have the chance to own one I would Never Ever sell it. What a unique machine. Best looking car in the world. You can shove all these new massive HP engined monstrosities where the sun don't shine imo. Happy motoring.

It's amazing how much the looks changed from the 64' to the 65' Mustang. While I like all Mustangs from 64' up through 73',I definately like some of the Mustangs much more than others. The 65' Mustangs are ones I like really well. You found a really nice classic there,Scotty. 🇺🇸💕❤
@bwtv1472 жыл бұрын
I don't understand that. The Mustangs that went on sale in the spring of '64 were called '65s. When the fastback was added in the fall of '64 it was called a '65 1/2.

@lancemannion41135 жыл бұрын
@@Dirtilike1 the 65 and 66 shared the same style as did the 67 and 68. Then again it was redesigned for 69 and 70. Each generation has its fans, and each is quite distinct. I'd have to go with the 65 or 66 fastback as well. An absolute timeless design. Much like the 63-67 Corvette. Two cars that just get better looking with time

In my experience the 3 speed automatic has some questionable reliability. Id love to throw it away for a 5 speed manual but cant do it til I save up for it.

yeah dont get one of these with the factory automatic lol bad performance and way less fuel mileage. And also less reliable.
@South_0f_Heaven_5 жыл бұрын
It’s a pretty easy swap, using a hydraulic clutch kit lot better then adapting the z-bar. I prefer using a T-5 out of a four cylinder Mustang, fifth gear is non-overdrive and it’s a close ratio box. Long as the horsepower is pretty much stock they hold up just fine behind a V8. Just have to use a four cylinder pilot bearing and the outside of a V8 pilot bearing cause the four cylinder input shaft is smaller and is too small for the V8 pilot bearing. All you need to do to use the four cylinder bearing is have a sleeve made so it fits in the V8 pilot bearing outer. The V8 T-5 fifth gear sucks cause it’s just a overdrive gear and isn’t really useable other then on the highway at cruising speeds.
