"If they're logical Person that automatically means that they they're an ethical person, if they're a rational person that automatically means they're a moral person. For example, if they have metaphysical awareness, they have really good long-term memory, if they have really good future memory for themselves and know what they want and they're very driven and very focused in that way than they have physical awareness as well." Feels so good to make sense of the chaos that is human mind.

As an INTP, I’d like to give a few examples of ways Se trickster manifests itself in my life. I constantly bump into things, I will literally walk straight into the side of the doorway in my own home and probably do it again the next week. I knock stuff over and/or spill food and/or drink on myself and sometimes other others. I’ve taken up the habit of wearing an apron just to eat dinner. I have little to no access to short term memory. If someone asks me to do grab something for them, I’ll say I’ll do it but there’s a big chance that literally one second later, I’ll have forgotten about it. The only stereotype that isn’t accurate for me is the fashion sense, more often than not I’m the best dressed person in the room. I think that’s because I don’t dress to please others(Se), but myself, thus I do it for my own experience(Si).
@murnoth3 жыл бұрын
As an INTP also, I have had the opportunity to train my Se most my life through Martial Arts. The experience of being connected to the environment in the moment is absolutely worth it. But like a muscle, it can become weak if gone too long without practice. All the yogic breath work with the belly and focused movement through physical discomfort is the path to this function. One thing though that you can only learn from fighting an other human that you can't get from just exercise is the removal of delusion. That is a huge part of the enlightening of your shadow function because it reveals to you what are actually capable of(usually getting ass whopped when I thought I was gonna kick ass).And when you have physical progress, it directly demonstrates Se progress. Getting ass kicked makes you look at your Demon Fi(forces you to explore your feelings). It forces you to surrender overthinking, because overthinking will not save you in those situations.. Thus the delusion of the ego is that your hero(Ti) will be there to save you.

I think I'm actually starting to get these concepts!! My mom refused to take the test but I was able to figure her out. She would never take the test because she thought it was evil sounding. But when I read her the description of her type this morning she started crying which is something she doesn't normally do. She felt like everthing i said rang true. She never takes credit and so being acknowledged for her actions struck a chord. She is an isfj. My dad is an esfp and I watched your video about social engineering an esfp. I received so much enlightenment from that video. I always wondered how my parents got along so well. They never ever fight!! Sometimes I think there relationship is unhealthy because i think my isfj mom should speak up more for what she wants instead of constantly giving everyone else what they want. I don't even think my esfp father knows what he has! I don't know how they lucked out with each other because they only dated a year and didn't even know each other at all! Oh, and they were super young. My isfj mom worships my esfp dad its crazy. My dad has been handicap for a long time and my mom will do everything for him! I don't even think that they have (done it) in years! My mom is a radical fundamentalist christian. Learning this stuff has helped me see so much. I always feel like she is disappointed in me since i'm starting to express that i don't have the same core beliefs that she does. She is in denial of it and it is always awkward. I find myself disliking her and blaming her for tearing apart the family. She doesn't know she is doing it though. My estj brother has changed so much. He used to be just as radical as my mom but then he changed when he started looking deeper into things because he was trying to help me after I had a 1/4 life crisis and started freaking out about stupid conspiracy theories to him. Now my mom and brother are at each others throats. Its insane cause our family is actually really tight and we respect each other. Im so glad I found and started watching your channel because this stuff is so intriguing to me. Also, Is there any reason that an ENFJ would get mistyped as and ENFP? I have multiple ENFJ's in my life that think they are ENFP's myself included.

It seems to me that there are shallow and relevant aspects of life that each cognitive function deals with. Fi - Shallow: merely feeling good about oneself, regardless of what one does. Relevant: doing moral decision making, actually living by it. Ti - Shallow: Merely being right all the time, regardless of how it hurts others. Relevant: Selfless pursuing for truth, so it can share for ones benefits. Te - Shallow: Making others think high of them, regardless what they do Relevant: Logically organizing the world, actually employing knowledge in efficient way. Status is not mere popularity, but actual respect. Fe - Shallow: being valued by others, making the crowd feel good for ones own benefit. Relevant: teaching people how to behave harmoniously. Se - Shallow: Looking good for other people. Making anything without consequences. Relevant: Actually doing good for other people. Leading through example. Si- Shallow: Feeling comfortable and safe. Not having their ideas challenged Relevant: Being responsible with ones own duties. Earning their safety. Ne - Shallow: Endless possibilities. Always imagining away. Relevant: Actually employing their imaginations, generating their "fruits" in the world. Ni - Shallow: Wanting things, regardless of the consequences. Relevant: Setting a clear vision for their own lives. Pave the way for their success.

Awesome video, amazing how decision making just comes down Feelings or Logic and each person is specialized for one side or the other. This reminds me very much of how our political system is structured where you have logical conservatives on one side and feeling liberals on the other side. Maybe politicians should also be doing Myers Briggs tests to make sure they are on the correct side because I think having illogical conservatives and unfeeling liberals could hinder the decision making process.

Hey I’m really getting a deep understanding with your content. I know this is old but if you think this is accurate I would say that the Fi users aren’t trying to feel smart (well maybe some) but rather find useful theories to meet their objectives. I think the Fi Or Ti produce the Moral standard or logical base of the world and the Te or Fe use the Spectrum of Thought, or Spectrum of feeling to meet whatever Fi or Ti aim they have or purpose they see. I’m saying this as an Fi user in the parent slot as you define it. Essentially I find your thinking super useful for my own aims not because I want to feel smart or teach anyone. It’s like a tool for the tool belt for whatever conflict or situation Id like to have handled. I’d say the Fe for you (hypothetically) gives you a framework to operate in the world just like Te for me. It’s just provided by the other party. The frustration you feel (or you have? Not quite sure how to describe the Ti conflict with people other than as a feeling) about having to work around people’s emotions is the same we have to working around people’s reasons for doing things.

So can cognitive functions be developed? I feel I’ve changed quite a lot from even ten years ago. For example, can a trickster function be developed and can a person ever become aware of it? Why is N/S around things like wants and duty and comfort and experience vs. F/T being around status, feeling, belief, etc.? Hello. I have been watching your videos and at first you annoyed me but I gave you a chance and watched some more videos. You actually say a lot of interesting things about this and, not like the majority, you seem to have thought about this a lot. But there are some assumptions you do that I think are not cool. I don't mean to say you are not a cool person, what I mean is I think some things in your theory are wrong. But, as you said before, since Fi - or "Morals", as you call it - is your trickster, maybe that is because you don't think about these things and perhaps you didn't do it with ill intent. So, you may still disagree but I'll share my view. Could give you some new insights on this fascinating legacy Carl Jung left us... I don't think it's fair to attribute to certain functions specific desires or sins like (as an example) wanting to be famous, having ambition, being envious, wanting to be rich. I also think it is not fair to attribute and make value judgements on each type (Ex: These types are very loyal, these types have more integrity, this type is not agressive, these types are selfish, these types are very giving, etc.). All thouse things are not type related, all this things can be found in any person regardless of type. A lot of thouse things are shaped by the culture, enviroment, education and the decisions people make for their lifes. As an example: who you think will feel more envy of famous people? A rich ESFJ or a poor ESTJ? Of course people that are poor feel more envy! And the same goes for your take on the Morality vs Ethics (wich I think your self concept as "a person without morals" would benefit if you reconsidered it). Just because you don't have conscious awareness of what you feel doesn't mean you lack morals or you don't have the capacity to do "the right thing" and have integrity. And just because I am very conscious about what I feel and very aware of what I think is right or wrong doesn't mean I will have more integrity than you. Your introverted thinking can decide that murdering someone doesn't make sense and my introverted feeling can decide that killing someone is the right thing to do. And if you don't want to be famous it's not because you are an ENTP. I certanly don't aspire to be famous and that is because I actually think that it ruins your privacy and that is something I value. But I don't value it because of my type, I value it because throught out my life I came to the conclusion that my life would be better without fame. And you could arrive to a different conclusion being a Ti user. I hope you uderstand I don't mean to preach. I really respect the time you spent with this and I can tell you are passionate about this. Let me know if you thought about this! - And, before you start thinking it... no! Just because I am a Te user, doesn't mean I wil copy your thoughts, and just because you are Ti user, doesn't mean you know the true. It just means you frequently choose to relly and create your own theories, not that they are true. I wish I could express myself better but english is not my first language so pardon me any mistake. Farewell for now and good luck on your journey

Attlas great comment. Moral awareness (Fi) is not always the same as moral decision making. Even an Fe user can make moral decisions provided those with Fi are nearby with which the Fe user augments their morality into their own soul. Thus, That is not to say that Fe users are incapable of moral behavior. Thank you for this post, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

There is a video where he talks about nature and nurture. He said that both nature and nurture shape people. Now let's look at it as if it was physics because I believe it's easier to understand. Mechanics are divided in two different groups: Kinematics and Dynamics. Dynamics make more sense than Kinematics because Kinematics ignore the friction force, gravity, wind etc. However if you want to understand Dynamics you have to begin with Kinematics because they are more simple. Although Jungian archetypes rely on stereotypes almost entirely, you have to realise that people are not different because their functions don't do what they are supposed to, it's because there are "dynamics" (nurture in this case) that changed their behaviour. You see, I am ENFP and I have a better developed Te than most ENFPs. I am the one who plans and organizes most of the events for my writer colleagues because I am simply better at that and I don't find organisation hard. Most of my colleagues are INFP, INFJ and ENFP, as well as a couple of INTP and ENTPs. But why would my Te be any better than Te of other people? It's because of that nurture. My father is Te-dom (ESTJ) and I have learned a lot from him, regardless if I wanted that or not. As a father he was obviously my role model when I was a kid and it really made a difference for my extroverted thinking. I am not an ESTJ, but my Te is way better than of those ENFPs whose surroundings are composed of Ti users. This means that even in our egos some functions may or may not be better developed than those of other people and that is perfectly fine. Where is my going with this? Why does it seem like I'm jumping from topic to topic? Well, basically, If you want to understand Dynamics, you have to understand Kinematics first. If you want to understand Nurture, you have to understand Nature first. *This is the **_TL;DR_** as well as the point of this comment:* All people are different, and that's a fact. Nurture is what really makes people who they are. However, in order to get to the nurture we have to understand the nature because we have to understand what is usual to see what doesn't fit well. This is at least the case with Si users and Chase is an Si user. That is why he isn't wrong, it's just that we are far from the lessons where he talks about nurture, and that's fine. These are the baby steps we need to understand people better. As soon as we learn about nurture we will see that even ENTJs can be caring people because only functions cannot completely determine a person's life.
