It would be awesome to live down the road from Jason and Alan. They crack me up and there is so much knowledge to be tapping into.

Great intro. Lol. Jason is legit!!! He’s knowledgeable and experienced in so many areas. His videos are the best because he combines humor and entertainment with real information. Jason has the most upbeat and positive personality that I have ever seen in a person.

Thank you, this was an excellent video as far as addressing specific concepts such as the idea of training in a manner where you know that you won’t be getting resupplied in any way. And full disclosure, no one needs to buckle down and put forth the effort and work more than myself. I agree that mindset and outlook are everything.

I started in the 80s with the advent of cheap “Rambo Knives” at every flea market! Every 10 year old in my neighborhood had one and would use or lose all the cheap crap stuffed in the handle within a couple days! I am Native American and had a Cree/Blackfoot Grandfather that took me out and taught me when he seen my interest. Eventually taking my to our hunting camp and dropping me off for 2 days at 12 yrs old, with only a knife and a buckskin tarp. Damn I miss him!

Sounds cool! And good way to learn about nature. Don't know what I'd do if I ran into a bear? Hopefully there would be trees around to climb? Then when it came up you could get it a little easier with the knife I would hope. First thing I'd do is make a spear with my knife. Most people don't think about that..My dad taught me how to hunt at the age of 12 with rifles I guess. I like target practice more though. 😁 I like nature and learning. And I'd only kill for food if I was desperate or very hungry. I like knowing about wild edibles no matter where we go. I have made a camp by myself and stayed out for a few days even with panthers and a few bears, wild hogs around. I enjoyed that.

Oh I forgot to mention a knife called the wasp. Have you seen that one? Really cool and only going up. Used to be 400. Course if you're out of cO2's you can still use it. I collect knives. 😉

@@donnamccombs8882 I only eat meat that we harvest ourselves or raise. My family hasn’t eaten a plastic and styrofoam wrapped piece of meat in over 30 years. My 20 something year old daughters have NEVER eaten store bought meat. We will buy produce but only locally and usually from the Amish. We eat everything we hunt and we hunt everything we eat. I don’t “trophy hunt” and in fact, I rarely will harvest a buck. To have the open season at a time when they are in full rut is bad for us that eat them. I will take several young doe during bow season because the meat is much better! We much prefer better meat over antler size! As for knives, I only carry one. One that my Grandfather made many years ago, from a large steal file. I have never had a knife so sharp or retain its edge for so long! The shape is perfect for every task. I use it for every part of the butchering process. From skinning to chopping bone! I can completely process 3 deer before it needs a light sharpening! I don’t know what steal they used in those old files but it’s amazing! Knowing wild edibles is good, but they alone will not sustain you. I believe that God put the animals on Earth for us, but they must be harvested humanely and responsibly! I HATE it when talking to a “hunter” and find out that he doesn’t even LIKE venison! Or coming across a carcass in the woods with only the head/antlers and the backstraps removes! We use every part and think it a sin not to. Sorry, for the long comment on you “I only kill for food” statement! LOL

I like Survival Dispatch but I don't always watch it unless the topic is relevant to me. However, they're often very long videos that talk too much. But when On 3 is on Survival Dispatch I click it like it's the winning lottery number. Jason and Alan are what's hot in survival. Their knowledge and entertainment are crazy awesome. ❤🎈🥳🎈❤
