For offseason workouts in your home town as a guy maybe not on the 40 man roster, does the MLB team pick up the cost of the trainer, gym and hitting and fielding practice facilities? Or is that cost on the individual player?

Matt great info, so what your saying is if i'm in shape and I show up to spring training and I may have a shot? What if I'm 60? but I don't look my age I'm really in great physical shape still have a six pack........ I hit for average not power my ops is always over 1000, avg. only dipped below 400 2 years ago for the first time since high school but I was hitting more for power that year and I think that's why the dip. 340 or 350 something like that.
