Thank you, Dr. Ibreez and Dr. Ibrahim. My partner and I are soon moving to UK she has job opportunities and I am currently hunting for one. There's one big worry that we have as to if we would be together and could we afford everything with the rising prices. The two of you have done an excellent job yourselves training at the same trust, buying a house, etc. We wanted your guidance about the same.

Currently there is no industrial action planned. It still requires a vote.

@RoadToUK Жыл бұрын
Depends on your roster with the banding and if there is any on-call enhancements with the first job.

Hello Doctor, I have one query I have done my medical degree from Philippines and I have done 1 year of clerkship there; after that I returned to India and got permanent registration with my state medical council without doing internship as it is accepted for the students who graduated from Philippines, now if I apply for GMC registration; will I be able to get a full registration with GMC or I have to do internship? It will be huge favour, 😊

I have 2 question 1. I heard doctors are leaving NHS nowadays due to high work load, irrespensible manager and less payment than USA and Australia . Is it true? 2. How many year does a doctor needs to work for getting PR?
@RoadToUK2 жыл бұрын
1) We don't know anyone who has done this. 2) 5 years.

This is true..I am also working in NHS as a SHO equivalent..patient load is unbearable, are aged and very sick. Stress keeps on rising as you go higher the ladder. Everyone is overworked and overtired. Pay is just passby when you consider the living cost. It is difficult !! I have done my PG in India and considering moving back within 6 months of coming here.
@kimberlysilochan6392 жыл бұрын
This is all true. Heavy workloads, short staffed ,inflexible with leave and the pay is barely enough given cost of living .
@RoadToUK2 жыл бұрын
@@kimberlysilochan639 We can only speak from our experiences. We've been able to get a mortgage, buy a car, travel, and live comfortably with our pay. Inflexibility with leave and short staff are issues which can be raised. If you do not raise concerns, things will not resolve. Our hospital was once extremely short staffed, but the JDRC as well as local unions brought it to the attention of those who could make a difference, and the change occurred. At the end of the day, it may not be your cup of tea, and if it isn't, you should re-evaluate your options.

@@kimberlysilochan639 Also, if you're in training, let your TPD know of these issues, as well as your GSWH. Exception report every incident.
