I plan on watching your other videos. I think if I have it, it's like yours. I have white tissue under the middle of my tongue. Possibly posterior tongue tie? It's pretty flexible so probably not the most severe but I grind my teeth and have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. I have had braces and lots of dental problems. The thing is you can get mouth guards but I have been "beating" it, my jaw tries to work it's way around it and I've chewed through one. The other is not the best now because I had dental work done and it doesn't fit. $300 a piece for that fix. I'd rather solve the issue, I used to always get migraines from jaw pain.

Just wonderful, I've been looking for "easy onset exercises for stuttering" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Deyarper Especial Dominance - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a great one off guide for discovering how to get rid of your stuttering once and for all without the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my colleague got amazing success with it.

We have made it through NICU and two months of nursing but his stomach issues have gotten SO bad. Turns out he’s SEVERELY restricted I just have zero feeling from nursing my other kids for years. I could tell something wasn’t right but the pain he’s in from all the air he’s getting because he has no seal is what triggered me educating myself and pursuing treatment. You’re video was so informative. My eight year old is in speech and also has a tongue tie and now we are considering also getting hers revised. Thanks for such great info!

I noticed my son had this within a few hours of his birth. He had big time trouble breast feeding, but could bottle feed. When he was a little older and had to have his tonsils out the dr said he would go ahead and do the Frenulectomy while he was in there, as a secondary thing it was no big deal for Ben when he was 4, it only did his throat and ears get better, but his tired jaw issues stopped and even at that age he had headaches, which all but went away. I do not contribute all of this to his tonsils/adenoids,, so glad the dr did the procedure! .

Teeth move throughout life Mandy. The bone that hold the teeth in place is alive (as you know) and teeth naturally become more crowded as we get older. All teeth want to move closer to the midline, unless a lot of extractions have been performed which leaves gaps and then the teeth may tip distally/backwards. Wire retaining wires may help you.

Hey! My name is Kara and I am 17. I also have a “tongue tie”. I was told throughout my life by doctors that I will grow out of it and it will stretch out and fix itself. So I never had it fix surgically. But it bothers me on a daily. It restrains my speed of talking because I have to focus hard on how I am pronouncing words and some days the soreness of the tissue gets pretty bad and like you said by the end of the day my mouth is sore from talking. I don’t really have any of the other symptoms like shoulder or jaw pain but I guess my question is did you have the shoulder and jaw pain at my age? Will I begin to have those symptoms as I age? Because in that case I really need to tell my parents about my research and get help before it worsens.

Hello. I love the video. I'm 20 years old. I have a tongue tie. I get migraines four to five times a week and have severe neck and back pain almost daily. How much did the revision help your sister? How much permanent damage was there? How important is a cranial whatever you said, myofunctional therapy, and chiropractor? I will probably be able to pay for the revision by the end of the year but I definitely won't be able to afford the other stuff. My daughter just got hers done and I will be paying for a chrio for her she is 9 months old. We have a lot going on right now. I have parasites, leaky gut, Candida, alopecia areata. My boyfriend has stomach ulcers, leaky gut, parasites and I assume H pylori or some other kind of stomach bacteria. He already has a 1000+ hospital bill from going to the er while I was in labor. It's all overwhelming. The doctors around here are not very helpful when it comes to stomach issues. :(

So my tongue can’t move at all. The tissue is connected from the tip of my tongue to the bottom of my mouth and it’s very short. I can’t lift my tongue or stick it out. There’s a tiny lift but that’s it. I spend a lot of time brushing my tongue because I’m afraid it could cause bad breath. It hasn’t yet. I’m very consistent with oral health. My girlfriend has a slight tongue tie. Whenever she flexes her tongue up it forms a perfect V or heart shape shape in the center edge of her tongue so it looks like a butterfly spreading it's wings. I know this is probably more due to the fact that she has a "cleft" tongue like most dark haired and especially dark eyed women have as opposed to actually having a tongue tie. It's always very noticeable when she yawns as her tongue muscle always involuntarily flexes up inside her mouth into a cup/bowl shape whenever she yawns and as she rarely covers her mouth with her hand when yawning, many people have noticed and commented on it, usually asking her if she has had a body mod tongue split which she hasn't.

I never knew about tongue tie because only few years ago the dentist told me about it but said it’s not severe but still I have jaw pain n now gum bleeding. Went to another dentist for teeth cleansing n told him about the gum bleeding and bad breath which I can’t smell myself but am worried about, he said just floss you’ll be fine. Never said you need treatment etc

Are you using a myofunctional therapist that is a Speech Pathologist or a Hygienist that is also a myofunctional therapist?

How's your sister with the Headaches? I have migraine all day, every day and I have a very restricted tongue. Tongue won't reach past my lips. Is she feeling better?
@katielegradi9322 Жыл бұрын
I’m 40 and just realizing I have a tongue tie… soley because my sisters find it funny that I can’t stick my tongue out! lol I’ve had zero issues and I nursed like 13 months. Never asked my mom if she had pain but she never mentioned it either. Interesting! I had issues in grade school with saying my S’s but was easily corrected with some speech classes. Non of the other symptoms you mention apply to me. So this is normal too? No issues to problem? I can not see myself ever getting this released but I’m definitely curious now.

Mandy, did your sister with the migraines get relief from them? thank you :)
@Katherine.2024.5 жыл бұрын
@@the_birth_nurse I wound up getting my tongue tie released. Did a couple months of myo before I had it lasered, and a couple of months afterwards, but unfortunately didn't have any relief in regards to headache/migraine symptoms! I had other results, though :) for example, I no longer choke on food and drinks, which is great
@Katherine.2024.5 жыл бұрын
@@the_birth_nurse yea, I did all the things! Chiro, CST, Bowen, etc. I didn't realise though that my choking was from the tie, so that was a really happy surprise!

Just watching for the first time... your tongue doesn't look THAT restricted. Is this video done before you had it snipped?

I have that one too. I think that if I get it cut I can sing better and hit higher notes. What was your voice like when you sing after the operation? Thanks.
@sunoftheyek82614 жыл бұрын
@@the_birth_nurse I think it has to do with the relationship between the root of your tounge, the hyoid bone and the larynx. Straining to lift the tounge raises the larynx. That's why I want to get mine cut. I get alot of tension in the muscles in my throat. My voice teacher says she thinks I have tounge root tension and I'm not capable of any of the techniques to release it because of my toungetie.
