....im pretty sure yawning is just your lungs stretching? Like when you stretch your joints, it normally comes with some kind of join stretch and deffinately feel my lungs stretching when i yawn, more than i feel my brain getting cooler thats for sure haha so kinda makes sense unless thats just me and yawning varies more in different people than i think, im sure some keyboard warrior will oh so 'subtly' let me know if this is the case haha
