In this lesson, we will learn what is an Adverb Clause, that is also known as an Adverbial Clause.
An adverb Clause is a clause that works as an adverb in a sentence, that acts as an adverb in a sentence.
It starts with the following subordinating conjunctions:
Because, unless, as, for, since, whenever, when, as soon as, as if, as though, every time, anytime etc.
It modifies the verb in the sentence and answers the following question:
1.When the action happened/happens (adverbs of time)
2. How the action happened/happens (Adverbs of manner)
3. Where the action happened/happens (Adverbs of place)
4. Why the action happened/happens (Adverbs of reason/manner)

Hey Ashish! I hope you are doing well. I just felt the need to point this out to you - at 8.13 of this video, there has been a slight error. On the screen is written "do not want = verbal phrase". Now we know that 'not ' is an adverb and its interrupting the verb phrase. So, the verbal phrase would be "do want". It might confuse the viewers. I am sure you might have already figured it out before. Good wishes!
@EnglishWithAshish

I have some sentences which I have to combine them into one sentence and put and make them into adverb clouses with putting subordinating conjugations but don't know which one do I use in these sentences. 1. Bill went to the party. He had an exam the next day. 2.I need to improve my grades. I will start taking more notes in class. 3. Jack hates going to the dentist. He should see his dentist soon. He has a very bad toothache.

Tnx a lottt sir ❤️ I have a question prof Where i we met last week is adverb clause right? And if we say Where we met : it's noun clause
@EnglishWithAshish

Where I we? Two pronouns can't be used together without being joined by a conjunction. Secondly, use it in a sentence to give me a proper context.

Can an adverb of certain category modify another from a different category. For instance: Meet me tomorrow when my parents aren't home. (Here the adverb clause"when my..." modifies the adverb "tomorrow") Meet me tomorrow where I saw you yesterday. (Can we say here that adverb clause "where I saw..." modifies tomorrow)

@@EnglishWithAshish I do understand that an adverb of time modifies an adverb of time or any certain adverb can modify another within the same category, But two different categories? Especially the examples I gave. >Meet you(when?) tomorrw(when?) when my parents aren't home. Here it gives an info about the first adverb, specific time expression(when my...) of less specific time expression(tomorrow). >Meet you(when?) tomorrow(where?) where I saw you yesterday. I don't see how a place modifies time. I might understand that it's telling the place of the action of meeting; thus, it modifies the verb "meet". I don't know I'm confused? Is having an adverb following another or an adjective means it modifies it? E.g: yesterday night, tomorrow by the bank, upset because...etc How can you tell that an adverb modifies another or an adjective but not a verb? I mean, >Meet you tomorrow night. Both "night" and "tomorrow" can be an answer to when the action of "meeting" happens, but why it is decided that tomorrow modifies a verb( meet) and night modifies an adverb(tomorrow). why not both modify the verb?

take new perspective. a dependent clause such as "where I live" can work as subject "where I live is the point". as attributive modifying a noun, the place where I live is nice. as adverbial modifying a verb, " you eat where I live", as adverbial modifying adverb , " I get profit overseas where you live". as adverbial modifying adjective, " I am tired of where I live". why adverb is class of unit which show quality of action presented by verb. but other phrase such as preposition phrase, adjective phrase, noun phrase, and finite clause... can modify action presented by verb. all the entities modify action are called "adjunct". adverb and adverbial is included in adjunct. "well "is an adverb when it stand alone. but if it stand in a sentence , it is called "adjunct". in a sentence , there are only the following syntactic functions: subject, predicate, object, subject complemenet,object complement and adjunct. in a sentence there are no such things as noun, adverb, adjective, adverbial. many grammars consider all entities modifying an action to be adverbial. this consideration is not exact because we can not differentiate adverbial "well" and adverbial "tomorow" in "i come tomorow".

A context decides what a phrase acts like. As you quoted, it can play multiple roles in a sentence, which I have shown to you guys through multiple lessons. Apologies but I didn't understand the point you're trying to tell me.
