I know Steve the man probably won't see the comment, but I've gotta tell you, I've been playing guitar for a few years now and I've heard people make Arpeggios sound so complicated and I just thought I could never do it and I felt like a dummy now! thanks for picking my brain and getting me to fully understand what an Arpeggio is completely . Appreciate you Mr. Stine, you are THE man.

You know what? You've explained to me in just over 6 mins what I've been unable to grasp in years. I'm a self taught guitarist. I've learnt just by watching youtube video's like yours and I'm by no means advanced, but you have explained it beautifully. Thank you.

I like how Steve gets to the point in his videos. Other videos start off with things you should already know like basic chords, strumming....etc; that why the videos take 20 minutes or more. If you’re a true beginner you shouldn’t be watching these videos without knowing the basics. Thanks Steve.

So let me get this straight its the individual notes that you would play in a chord?
@Rex-golf_player8103 жыл бұрын
I think my definition that i had in my head for arpeggio was something like "making a melody using the notes in a chord" or something like that
@stinemusiclessons3 жыл бұрын
You can definitely create melodies with arpeggios, but you don't have to. If you hold a chord and play each note one at a time, that's also an arpeggio. :-) Make sure you tune in to today’s LIVE Rock Licks Limited Edition Workshop if you can. Steve’s going to answer questions about playing rock licks, so feel free to ask your question in the chat. It’s happening today (Monday, May 24) at 10 AM Pacific. Ok maybe think of it this way. Arpeggio means harp. Is that the cords or the sequence that you're playing sounds like a heart. So anything that will increase the decay such as palm muting will help make that effect harp like affect happen. Since harps don't have the sustain of a guitar.
@stinemusiclessons2 жыл бұрын
