I had a trail of crumbs. There was the "hey I was just thinking about you" text, followed by the "I have your stuff", then a question about his dog, which finally led to the "I miss you". These were scattered over 8 months. So we hung out, and he eventually said he had feelings for me. I never reached out to him, I only politely responded to each crumb. Now we are married. Each day of the break-up might seem like an eternity, but don't give up.

Congratulations to you🎉 I'm in the no contact stage with someone whom I really had feelings for and someone who I feel was my dream girl, I didn't see any Red flags in the time we had. It's just that she went to college and 3 weeks in she was just too stressed and couldn't be there emotionally. But we had a very fun summer together, we spent almost every day and night together and I even slept with her twice. I really hope that she feels the same way, that maybe she just needs time

Thanks for the topic guys. I'd say a good omen you're being breadcrumbed is you feel your time is being wasted. I'm rather heartbroken hearing these signs he was breadcrumbing me *during* our relationship. Thankfully he hasn't tried this since dumping me. I really do need to try & move on, I love him but he was so unhealthy. I just feel like part of me is always looking over my shoulder hoping it's my angel. I gotta just accept that is how I feel & try to move forward. It's so sad. He pursued me so hotly it's so confusing 😕 💔
@peaceofmindofpeace1650 Жыл бұрын
Very confusing. For me, I'm not even yet in love bc I'm trying to stop it to protect myself but on human level I get attached to him as a person. What hurts me most is knowing that he doesn't miss me bc if you miss someone you want to call or text them.😢 he said he was happy to see me again, that was 2 days ago and since then silence. I should know better by now that feeling upset and angry means that I feel mistreated and I need to put myself first. Eventually I will but mostly when I'm already attached. I am confused bc I also know that ppl have different patterns when it comes to text habits but im a romantic person. Kissing and hugging is already a thing for me so no interaction for 2 days hurts.

The timing on this couldn't be anymore perfect. Last week, she sent me the ultimate breadcrumb (more like a slice of bread) after 3 months of no contact and being blocked. She unblocked me, and posted a whatsapp status video for me to see. It was her playing a song that she knows I like, one that we shared when we first met. She reached out via whatsapp and asked me if I heard OUR song on the video. I replied yes I did hear our beautiful song. I was surprised by this. So, I replied. I said "when you're free, lets meet and we'll listen to our song together". Her response: "Ok, I'll let you know". Which I know really means... "No, she won't". This is such a cruel thing to do... give out false hope with breadcrumbs. I WOULD RATHER BE BLOCKED AND UNWANTED THAN BE UNBLOCKED AND BREADCRUMBED. Better to walk away from this manipulative behavior. Great video!

@MissSarahGM11 ай бұрын
@@vrilginitymaxxer If your ex has contacted you several times, to chitchat or nothing meaningful, and disappeared right after for weeks or months, it's a breadcrumb, meaning they get some benefit from the interaction (reassurance, belief you are still there waiting for them) and you on the contrary stay engaged hopeful and stuck in your healing. Fearful avoidant attached exes will do that and if we enable it by responding always, they will not change. You have several options, if you've responded each time, and she's a woman, you could suggest a catch up in person; if she bails, then you set a boundary saying you see no purpose in continuing the communication. Or you could start to ignore and wait for a meaningful offer to respond. That might not come.

My ex recently reached out because of a disaster in her life. She felt the need to inform me her girlfriend I met about five times was dying. While it was true and sad. I was blown away that it had been over a year. She left me on read and blocked me for a few months on IG. Went on a multi state vacation with her ex at the end of our relationship. From what I could tell until she blocked me. Had played the victim. So it sent a flood of emotions through me seeing her message. In the past few months I’ve met someone new and things seem healthier than what I had with my ex.

However since March, my ex girlfriend and I have been texting and talking on the phone. Matter of fact she has reached out to me on Father's Day and 4th July. On one occasion she asked me, have I thought about her during the break up. She also agreed to meet me for coffee, but she postponed the coffee meet. As I mentioned she reached out to me on Father's Day and the 4th July. However my birthday was in July, but she didn't reach out. Matter of fact I haven't heard from her in over 2 weeks. I'm so over her!! I've blocked her!! She is so immature.

She does it every night at approx the same time. I'm in a better place now, spiritually, mentally. She is not.

Interesting, I have a similar story. My avoidant ex contacted me every 4/5 months, each time he called I responded not too excited but friendly and hopeful he finally saw the light..only for him to disappear after the call (and I believe hoping I would chase him). So, after 4 months of silence (15 months of breakup), he sent messages (nostalgic but no apology), I finally ignored. I was too scared to be strung along. For how long was the bread crumbing situation going on? Ending this doesn't make you look like the villain. You finally put your mental health first. They know they can come back with a more significant and meaningful apology. And then we can respond, with caution. But otherwise, that type of episodic contact over a long span of time, not escalating towards reconciliation, has selfish purposes, checking their access to us, getting validation etc.

Don't engage in any discussion of the relationship. Disengage emotionally. Don't be her emotional support or seem sad about the relationship ending. Be focused on the child in all your interactions and don't offer anything more than that. If she says we need to be friends say sure but then don't volunteer anything as a friend and remain reserved until if and when she shows some vulnerability.

He and I had a good relationship, and I got him a college internship a few months ago (2 months after our breakup). He and I had dinner a few months ago when he started the internship but before No Contact. The employer emailed today with a really nice email complimenting my Ex's son. Can or should I text the son tomorrow, wish him a happy birthday, and pass along the email for him to read the compliment? Does this break no contact? There is a 50/50 chance he'll tell his Mom (my Ex) that I reached out to him.
