People forget about the children under 18 that care for caregivers and are to scared to speak out, because they don't want to lose their loved ones by getting removed from their care and leaving them on their own. They are to young to claim carers allowance and they also need things to, like getting food and toiletries not just for the sick family members but them selves.. also cloths, education supplies and travel and so much more let alone to get what the care giver needs. This is very concerning. We need more financial support for those caregivers children.

I really love the fact that the government (pretty much full of abled bodied people) seem to believe that they know better what my needs as a disabled person are. And they have the audacity to say that it is to help us be more independent while taking away our independence by telling us where and how we can spend our PIP by giving us vouchers... I really hope that Labour ditch this at the earliest opportunity. When any able bodied person says to me "you just need to...", "this would make your life as a disabled person so much better" etc I really wish that they could develop a chronic illness/disability - not for life, just for long enough for them to understand what we all go through each and every day.

The voucher will be a voucher her number so when ever you purchase something the number will be presented to only the people they allow to use the voucher on such as you can't use the voucher online or to travel on a bus or taxis unless ur going to appointments . Basically they wil take your independence away from you that's what they are doing, so then then the ill will give up and say we dont vouchers we are ill we will just go work I'm.ill person and I have worked while ill alll my life, and since I kept passing out I lost my job so the people staff at jobs don't wa t illl people shouldn't they have system gow to treat ill people out work become limited to wat we can do but we keep trying hard. this labour has took all thr stuff that conservatives was going to do I regret voting labour, because nothing has changed for thr better they keep adding income removing income then threatening us they stopping this stopping that and bring out vouchers that in it self willl make us ill. if you save that pip and tey hars to budget that money is urs and u can spend it on what you want. The thing that needs to change is if you have Consultant care in a hospital either for illness or mental health you should not have to go through these gruelling phone calls or assessments, if the consultant who written you countless letters, or assessments who have tested you, know your aliments who are they to say otherwise. Most of them do not read your evidence they go of their assessor evidence. But it is bias towards them. The vouchers are never going to work, people use the money for various different needs, bills, travel, food, and medication. Some people are marked down because they work sometimes, if people felt like they did have to choose between being penalised for going to work ad having their PIP reduced they would work. It was working that why when it was introduced what is the difference now.

If these revolting vouchers are to be issued rather than the monthly payments. It will NOT!!! go well with the disabled. For a start they be only allowed to use them in certain places by a certain time & only certain items will be only allowed to use to get. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! & UNJUSTIFIED!!!😠😡🤬👎👎👎👎 taken away the freedom of the disabled to use their money as they wish. & wherever they wish. I personally like many tens of thousands etc, etc of people who are registered disabled being BULLIED!!! into something they totally disagree with. We must FIGHT by any means to STOP this from going ahead. Although this maybe TOO LATE!!!! But, from being used for too long the shorter the better. & resumed to what we all feel comfortable & at ease with. Vouchers who cares NO ONE!!!! they are restricted to use & expiry dates. What's the use& benifit in that. NOTHING!!!!😠😡🤬😠😡🤬👎👎👎👎👎

In 2020, just before covid kicked off, I helped my autistic son apply for PIP. He was diagnosed with Autism age three. He was around 32 at the time, and was struggling with depression and extreme social anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. He been receiving disability living allowance from the age of 6 to 21. He was knocked back. Told there was nothing wrong with him, and he was coping well. It was so stressful for him applying and going through the home visit, then to be denied, it scared him from appealing against their decision.

Exactly the green paper deadline for review is the 22nd, at the moment all that's happened is it's been published. It is not yet in c9nsulation ! So far (days away from the 22nd) labour have ignored. They haven't withdrawn it as they want to see the feedback on it ( which in their position I would do ) . There are laws that protect disabled people. If you really can't work, they can't make you ! I think they will now require a written assessment from a doctor (non GP specialists) to certify and clarify while condition prevents a person from working or outlines what their capabilities may be. FyI, after reviewing (if that happens), I suspect they may just analyse the feedback rather than try to action. It has to go through many legal processes and reviews before a white paper is submitted . Even then ! There Is more. So much of this is scare mongering. What the tories did with creating & publishing this green paper. There are laws to protect. Pip so far is horrendous it needs reforming. This isn't a bad thing! I have asd l2 , ptsd, adhd (severe) seizures, catatonia. I am concerned YES but I am aware of my rights abd have successfully won tribunals on disability grounds . Hold tight people, abd fo respond to questions on the green paper ! This is your place to heard ! Best of

Will i have to use it on therapy, when medication works better? Services that should be on the NHS, or things ouside the NHS that don't work? What will my son who is on the severe end of the autistic spectrum use it on who lives with us as an adult? According to the list, pretty much nothing. Nothing on the list helps his independence.

I’m assuming you don’t receive PIP? Because switching out the £700-odd for vouchers would take me from living comfortably and not worrying about any bills to no longer being able to afford the near-£600 a month contribution towards my 2 carers 4 times a day. So then the government either pushes me into destitution or lowers my contribution so much that they’re spending more money elsewhere instead.

My first DLA assessor was such a cow (or so I thought at the time), back when ATOS were doing them. She seemed so cold and uncaring, but she listened to what I said and poked me a few times, and knew what was going on with me. She had me down for a 2-year review. It took the NHS another 4 years to come to the same conclusion my assessor did, and I learned that it's more important to see the actions people take rather than the front they (sometimes are obliged to) present.

I’ve lost count on how many consultations over the years. Do wonder how much weight they carry. I wonder if the points are going change to “support those most in need” maybe 12 for daily and those severe disabilities shave score like 20. Wouldn’t put it past them. PiP is for all your extra expenses I know just getting my hair cut as a wheelchair user costs me like triple the cheapest place in town. As need step free inside and to the sinks. Same if you go anywhere good luck finding an accessible place that’s same price as the cheapest room. I’ve been through a voucher type system with my council over care chargers. They allowed me none of the things I was claiming for. Didn’t think necessary. Can see this being same way.
