I suffer from Severe and Chronic PTSD. I really love your videos. They are really helpful in helping me to understand my symptoms and why I feel the way I do.

After being mugged several times, hit by a car twice, in a roll over auto accident and being shot . It is no wonder I have Chronic PTSD and Severe Depression . Anything from taking a walk to getting in a vehicle can cause or trigger Generalised Anxiety or paranoia. I don't believe theese experiences are ever going to stop nor that the quality of my life will ever get better . I just have to use the tools I have to trudge through the fog and mire of the rest of my days and nights untill there are no more .

@Earl Zettlemoyer I have PTSD but I also believe in God and that the trials and tribulations of life can mean we are being chosen for a difficult test in life but a test that can hold an even higher reward due to it's enduring difficulty. I found from a young age cannabis (weed) has helped me very much in easing symptoms of PTSD and allowing myself to reflect on life and such a trial. By using cannabis my symptoms never overwhelm me and I have never used any medications prescribed by a doctor. It says there is a cure for every illness out there you just have to find it. Cannabis was made illegal back in the 1940's but was used before this for healing and medicine for thousands of years, large pharmacutical companies deny the healing abilities of such a plant and instead are happy to prescribe you a set of pills which are man made, mans attempt at a cure. You may say cannabis is a natural cure put on the earth to superseed all other medicines, but due to it's amazing healing qualities it becomes enemy number 1 for the big pharmacutical companies as they do not sell it themselves and do not profit from it, so therefore they would rather you took their pills which they can prescribe you and set you up with monthly payments and make you a cash cow for themselves against your own healths detriment. God bless and I hope you find your cure and realise that suffering isn't the only option.

Thank you so much for these videos. I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD 6 years ago. Support has been hard to come by so the words spoken by Dr.Ochberg have been very appreciated. His ability to state the facts while displaying an amazing kind of gentleness has helped me tremendously! I plan on watching all the new videos tonight. 3

I currently have PTSD. My life changed started when both my parents died. My wife left me together with my 7 YRs old daughter. I can't stay on a company longer than 1 year. I just AWOL on my previous company and I'm jobless this coming Christmas. I always feel that I will gonna die either heart attack or stroke. I don't feel safe even inside of my house. I need help but I don't know where to get. Life is getting hard for me...

It took a knife in my chest (lung/heart) for it to be labeled as chronic ptsd

It makes me so sick that people pretend to have issues because they think it’s cool. I’ve lived so long with ptsd and all I want to be okay. My multiple ongoing traumas stopped 10 years ago and I. Still dealing with their greed

I too have PTSD from the Christchurch Earthquakes; especially the big killer quake on then 02/22/2011 or as we say down here 22/02/2011. We had 19,000 aftershocks; yes 19,000 aftershocks! I'll talk more about this on this site as I published my story on Facebook and they took it down! I still suffer from it! And it it gets worse from time to time! Family can help or hinder! My eldest sister keeps on trying to bully me out of it!

I learn from watching your (and others) videos, but I keep getting the feeling that you are not quite hitting the bulls-eye. Still, a lot better than anyone I have found locally. Not one psychiatrist, psychologist, or counselor I have met has known what C-PTSD is, let alone how to treat it.

You should look into CPTSD the c stands for complex not chronic and it specifically has to do with childhood trauma. If your trauma was abandonment or an emotionally unavailable parent which is a form of neglect then definitely look into BPD as well. Forget the stigma attaceed to bpd if possible. You can only receive the right treatment if you have a correct diagnosis, even if it's scary. Good luck komi.
