If this happens to be what’s wrong with my knees, I’ve had this problem for so long and am just now figuring out what it is.

Venous insufficiency/varicose veins can now be cured or at least hugely improved.

Varicose veins runs in my family, along with clotting disorders so I just found out yesterday that I have varicose veins and valve damage due to a few DVTs I've had in my left calf last year. I'm 24 :')

We’re sorry to hear that. I’m sure your healthcare professional has recommended lots of things that you can squeeze into your daily routine to improve your leg health- such as wearing compression. If you require any more support and advice please visit www.lrselfcare.co.uk

Thats true. CVI runs in my family and I have both deep and superficial CVI which makes it double hard to treat because I can't get ablation.

@@rumblefish9 where is the deep reflux at?
@eveoakley6270 Жыл бұрын
@@rumblefish9 I had deep vein damage through a DVT from the contraceptive pill at the age of 36. This damage wasn’t apparent until I was 49/50, bearing in mind I was and still am an extremely fit, slim and healthy runner. I lost seven years of my life to our UK NHS just managing my symptoms at a leg ulcer clinic until I could take no more and started doing a bit of research. I eventually got in touch with a Professor of Phlebology and had three treatments at his clinic in London in 2018. I had a Duplex Vein Mapping Scan which identified two truncal veins that were damaged along with four Perforator veins that were also damaged. Some weeks later I travelled back down to London and underwent Endovenous Laser Ablation Therapy, together with Transluminal Occlusion of Perforators, followed, after a necessary eight week gap with Ultrasound Foam Guided Sclerotherapy. It was the best money I ever spent and I haven’t looked back since. This treatment needs to be carried out by expert vein scientists working together with Interventional Radiologists.

I have this. Im only 19! The pain and swelling is horrendous. EDIT: I found out the cause, I had underlying ehlers danlos syndrome and dysautonomia caused my leg veins to become dysfunctional

Is common femoral vein reflux secondary to gsv reflux at sfj junction? And not the primary cause. How would you find out. Will treating gsv reflux at sfj abolish femoral vein reflux? Symptoms are varicose veins. Slight heavyess upon standing.

I had a ischemic mild stroke last year of September, and I had this CVI late May of this year until now, Is the stroke also a cause? My doctor's advice is to undergo some tests and Duplex CT-Scan.. I'll check it out. Thanks for this video 😃
@LohmannRauscherUK Жыл бұрын
Hi Eileen, it could possibly be a cause. We would recommend continuing working with your GP or doctor to find a solution. A duplex CT scan is a great idea to take a look at your suitability for compression. Good luck!

Venous insufficiency has nothing whatsoever to do with a stroke.

Do these cvi’s cause painful leg cramping? Is cvi’s related to blood clots? I had lung clots 6 months ago. I was told I had leaky veins and I have severe leg cramps.
@LohmannRauscherUK Жыл бұрын
Hello, CVI can have many symptoms. We would recommend speaking to your GP or healthcare professional and they will be able to do a leg health check which may include a doppler assessment to check your blood flow
