Hello Teacher Val! Thank you for sharing so many things, ideas and resources.😊 I love teaching CLIL , but, as you said, sometimes, we can't have enough background...it's a challenge! 😊 Your PPTs are an excellent "guide line" for every teacher : they are so well structured...organised, they are a pleasure to watch, listen and practise. 😊 As usual I learned a lot from you, thank you! 😊 Have a great day! Bye bye! 👋🏻

This was fascinating! I have never seen CLIL used for a literature lesson. 👍🏻 You mention at the beginning that the idea behind this approach is that language learning is most effective when it is a medium for learning something else. Do you find that to be true with your students?
@Teacher-Val2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! 🌹Yes, I do think people learn a language best when they’re using it to learn something else. Curiosity and the desire to understand how things work are a big part of human nature. That's why kids break toys to see what's inside. Even though information is super easy to find these days, when a teacher presents it in an interesting and playful way, students really take it in - at least that’s what I’ve seen with most of my students!

Hi From Argentina!! I'm teaching the subject Technology in primary school through CLIL methodology and sometimes i find it very hard to plan mi lessons because of the level and complexity of the contents !! Any suggestion you could make? Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!
@Teacher-Val2 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm not a subject teacher, but from a language teaching perspective, I suggest pre-teaching key vocabulary, using plenty of visual aids (like illustrations and videos), and demonstrating concepts whenever possible. This way, students can grasp the content visually, making it easier for them to understand without overloading their cognitive abilities. Hope this helps! 🙏

Check out the lessons in these collections. Some are quite similar to the Little Prince lesson. teacher-val.com/collections/grade-6 teacher-val.com/collections/grade-5 (Myths + Luna and Sunny)
