@SMM Productions they are not Somalis but Somali Swahili people. The same swahili people you see in Lamu, Malindi, Mombasa, Tanga e.t.c. There original word is Bajuni people also known as the original swahili people ( ngozi people) a bantu admixture that emigrated to Southern Somalia and Kenyan coast 2000 years ago from East Ethiopia a city called Harar.
@deepsea21415 жыл бұрын
@SMM Productions they had an admixture of bantus, cushitic races. The Bajunis and Barawa people all came from East Ethiopia around 5th century. They used to do fishing with traditional harpoons/ spear fishing on River Juba until Indian Ocean. Before Indian ocean was known as Eritrean sea
@deepsea21415 жыл бұрын
@SMM Productions the original Barawa and Bajunis are purely a mix of some Bantus and cushitic race. They later intermarried with Indonesians and arabs who arrived much earlier than Portuguese. Portuguese arrived late at around 15th century. Arabs have been in East African coast since 5th century way before other African Bantus have arrived in East Africa. Somalis are native of Ogaden, Ethiopia and Northern Somalia i.e Djibouti, Hargeysia but From Mogadishu to Sofala( Mozambique) it was the Ngozi a bantu speaking people who are presently known as swahili people after mixing with arabs, indians and Indonesians.
