I love the expectations that come with company culture. That’s the biggest thing for my sales team that everyone is coachable and accountable to each other. I definitely have to be an example with that as well.

Great explanation of company culture and examples! I agree that it starts with hiring and displaying what your values are. I like having an Employee Value Proposition to attract those who would fit in your culture. I also agree that difussing toxic cultures is a must! Thank you very much for publishing!

This is a super interesting and current topic at the moment, as companies are finding it hard to develop a culture when working remotely or hybrid.

I have a curiosity - as we talk about culture and how it is established from the top - does it have to be rigid? Is there room for the culture to flex and change? I have experienced changes in culture within the same company - simply with a change in management and I am not thinking more deeply on this subject and how culture is interpersonal moreso than organizational

I think culture can definitely change, but it should be changed from the top down and hopefully in a positive direction. If a new manager comes in changing everything so that it doesn’t align with what the owner has put there, that can lead to trouble. Basically, everyone should be on the same page.
