Thank you, my career took some turns. I started out in internal medicine at LIJ in 1986 and loved critical care but at the time medicine didnt have critical care specialists so I went into an anesthesia residency for 3 years at University Stony Brookand did a 6 month critical care fellowship because that specialty did have critical care training. I stayed there for several years and was responsible for resident education , specifically for board certification

Thank you for the informational video. How long would a specific area remain contaminated? An eagle nest that I follow just lost 2 chicks whose remains have now been sent for necropsy. While we won't know the cause of their deaths for a while, viewers are concerned that if they did die of avian flu, what is the probability of the adults contracting it from the nest? The adults have not returned to the nest since about 10 hrs. before the 2nd eaglet died during the evening of 1/27. So far, the adults appear ok.

Thanks for the information. It is only a matter of time before we get human to human spread. ☹ I'll look out for conjunctivitis then.

Risk to human is still low. So far only people who are constantly around fowl but if you get flu symptoms with the conjunctivitis you can get checked
