Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly

Through closely monitoring the performance of my portfolio, I have witnessed a remarkable growth of $500k in just the past two quarters. This experience has shed light on why experienced traders are able to generate substantial returns even in lesser-known markets. It is safe to say that this bold decision has been one of the most impactful choices I have made recently.

hello Chaithanya, very glad to read that you are finding the videos useful for you. thanks. Taxation is a complex topic depending on family situation & economic situation. Factors like type of employment contract & type of work visa also play a big role. I'll try to put all basic info in one of next videos (won't commit but I'll try). Till then please refer to official resources(putting these links in description of video for you.) I'll also get back to your email today - thank you :)

The usual practice is to put the deposit on a shared/blocked account. Otherwise the landlord will rip you off. At least in Flanders the landlord cannot demand you pay in cash.

thanks Jaya. Please check this very popular website: immoweb (I'm putting the link to this website in description of this video for you). Here you can choose many filters to search apartments of your choice. So you can filter based on balcony/terrace(they call balcony as 'terrace' here).

Hi Mansee . Can you please tell procedure to apply for electricity connection if someone just moves in a rented apartment and has to apply for getting electricity supplied to the already installed meter .
@bonjourmansee
@bonjourmansee 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lokesh, (first of all - sorry for a late reply, I don't like to keep you guys waiting!)its very common, you just need to fill a form for transfer of connection (so from old tenant to new one), there are fields to enter the meter readings....just fill the necessary details and sign it. It has to be sent to the electricity provider. You can find more details on the website of your energy provider. Don't hesitate to take help of the owner!

Thanks for the informative video. How to search home for rent for the first time mainly for a family of 3 (with a child)?
@bonjourmansee
@bonjourmansee Жыл бұрын
Hello, as I suggested in the video, immoweb should be very helpful. Use the right filters as per your requirements. In each listing you apply, drop a personalised message to the owner about your situation(if you have long term plans to stay, family details, job details) - this gives confidence to the owners when they see your application among 50 others. After some appointments and visits, sure you will get to the suitable place. If you are travelling for the first time you might not have last 3 months belgian salary slips , which is normal for owners to ask from potential tenants in order to ensure they can pay - then keep your offer letter/contract ready which shows that you will get x amount of salary in Belgium. I hope you find a lovely place to stay.

Hi! While shifting to a new country....we can't take much money in cash....how to manage first two weeks in terms of banking in Belgium....esp when you have to look for renting an apartment etc..
@bonjourmansee
@bonjourmansee Жыл бұрын
Hello ! You can take cash that will be sufficient for your initial one or two months. If that amount is equal to or more than 10,000 Euro then you need to declare. Best suggestion i can give you is to carry a FOREX card. My company gave me one when I was about to travel. They paid me advance salary(and deducted some amount each month for the next 1 year) so I could manage my expenses initially. In 2018 this amount was 7000 Euros. For me & my husband, this amount was more than enough and we could have survived 3 months comfortably on it. When you arrive here, open a bank account so your salary from you employer is received in a Belgian account & you can easily continue you rental search, etc. Don't worry!

Hey Jyotsna, I live near Roodebeek metro station, yes its a nice place to live - very well connected. Sorry for my late response . I think my agency was Latour & Petit! Usually, all agencies are good except please stay away from BBF(Brussels Business Flats) - they notorious for taking away security deposit in cash and deducting it.

Something you need to understand as well is what you get in return for those taxes. If you would compare Belgium to the US, you need will pay fewer taxes in the US, but you will have to get your health insurance covered (outside taxes)

You did not talk of taxes anywhere.. doesn't almost half of the salary go into taxes.. did you include that while calculating minimum salary for a decent living.
@bonjourmansee
@bonjourmansee Жыл бұрын
Yes, the ideal amount for the salary I mention in the video is after all deductions (= taxes). Its true I don't directly talk about taxes (its percentage, gross salary, deductions) in this video to make it simpler to understand for everyone. Thanks for pointing this out: its a good topic for a video, i'll make one describing taxes :) and sorry for a late reply- today I decided to check all the comments and respond.
