I think Daemon means everything he says. He really doesnt lie. If you ask him a question he normally gives the answer that will hurt your feelings. I think it can be true that he's mad he didn't end up in the Throne and also he's fine with Rhaenyra being there. Overall Daemon loves his family and I don't think that will change. If Rhaenyra is like her dad she will welcome Daemon back whenever he's ready to come back.

He did lie about the blood and cheese situation. Rhanerya asked did he order the assassination on a child and all he said was it was a mistake. But it wasn’t a mistake. Cheese asked clearly “ what if we can’t find him?(Aemond) and he(Daemond) smirks and they cut it before he gives his answer. However we know that he did order the execution because Blood said “he said a son for a son”. So he does lie when it suits him

I think it’s hilarious that people that just provide commentary on shows get so much wrong with what they’re talking about, just so they can hurriedly put out a vid with misinformation. I would think it was obvious that Erryk was the winner and not arryk. For one, seeing how aggressively arryk was still trying to kill rhaenyra even after his twin arrived. If he had killed his brother, he would have at least went on to “do his duty” of killing rhaenyra before killings himself

I think people, in real life, and in the show. Need to evaluate daemons INTENTIONS, AND VALUES. he is unwaveringly loyal and protective of his family, even to the point where he believes he needs to protect them from themselves, (i.e. yelling viserys he was a weak king, and his council knew it) in my opinion, while this doesn't excuse his actions, it makes him much more relatable. And his actions understandable. I haven't read the book, and may just be trying to justify for him, but as of right now I don't think daemon is simply bloodthirsty. I just think he is doing what he feels is necessary to protect the ones he loves.

Fun discussion. Ranira's (?) loss of Eric(?) as a trusted advisor was greater than Team Green's loss of Aaric(?) as a King's guard. The white dragon and Adam were making a connection which was why the dragon seemed to be flying closer. I think (never read the books) this will be a future rider/dragon pair.

Honestly I’m shocked at all the Daemon hate! I think he has proven himself the most. He has been there running things & taking Dragon-inventory while Rhaenyra was absent and wandering around mourning her son. In a way, he’s more concerned about her crown than she is. Whatever his motivations may be I don’t think he has been selfish in his recent actions and if anything he has proven extreme loyalty! He risked his own life to go to king’s landing to execute Rhaenyra’s order/wish “I want Aemond Targaryen”. Who else would’ve done that for her? And was there a risk of the wrong people dying and plans going to shit, yes! Rhaenyra must’ve been aware of that. Also I don’t understand his loyalty being questioned, I think he has processed the fact that he will not be king, but he is prepared to risk everything (even his own life) to make sure one of his sons will be in the future. If he truly wanted the crown for himself, he would’ve ran and hid somewhere and watched the Reds & Greens kill each other, only to swoop in and take the crown at the last moment. I think his character is complex and misunderstood and gets too much undeserved hate.

The dialogue in this episode was incredible. The various conversations throughout the episode was so mesmerizing. Good writing is good writing. I rewatched the first episode and Daemon never says to blood and cheese a son for a son, he only describes Aemon and when cheese asks if they can't find him then what do they do and it cuts, yet blood says in Helenas chamber a son for a son, Daemon totally told them to kill a son if they couldn't find Aemon, there was no mistake, yet I will stay team black to the end 🖤🖤

Out of all characters I love the twins the most, because they are the only true, honourable, knights in the whole series.

@@eshna2012 Most of my friends can't stand Rhaenyra, but they love Daemon and Aemond, so I guess it's not a clear cut. All the reactors I have seen are team Black, mostly because they consider Rhaenyra as the story's MC, which is the wrong approach to a series based on the ASOIAF world. No single character is the protagonist, no character is safe, anyone could die at any given moment, there's no good side or bad side, everyone is fucked up in his/her own way.
