@The Article I think your ears don't work. Not because i'm trying to insult your taste in music, but because this video literally spends most of it's time on what "djent" is and where it came from. Btw insulting people on their musical taste is deconstructive behavior and i don't support shunting the honest interests of others in any shape or form. That stalls progress just about harder than anything, i don't know if you have noticed but a lot of more metal now takes away from the progressive metal of the past decades. Djent whether you like it or not, whether it's a genre or not, is a leading influence on what we like listening to and in the next decade, it will be a different genre that takes lead on new sonic ideas. Stop being a cockwadler cutting against the grain and learn to appreciate even the music you don't like listening to. In the end, you should be happy so many people are contributing to the richness of music.

I really don't listen to Dragon Force. But I really like Hermans additude and personality. I appreciate he is giving his time for his fans and fans of music. Dragon Force KZbin channel is a lot better than lots of bands. Because he's actually engaged. Love it.

Two awesome guitar dudes, very cool video, Misha is very very humble and although I’ve never met Misha, he seems super nice. I really dig his KZbin content, he’s always really insightful and always willing to share what he knows. Herman Li, I just became a fan of today. I remember when Misha was on the Petrucci forum back when I posted there from like 2001-2004. The band had put out their demo album with their very first singer, Jake I believe was his name. Great screamer/growler. I had a friend who was actually a guitar player for Periphery for a very short time probably in like 2006. I knew they were a very talented band and had amazing musicians. I guess I didn't know how big they'd get.

They need to do a full collab. Their jam actually sounded really good. Herman is fantastic at melodic leads and melody crafting, but Misha's rhythm playing is just so much more rhythmically and harmonically interesting. Could be the best of both worlds!

I found Misha on the Meshuggah forum in '06 and randomly decided to check out his soundclick. I'm a drummer and I was looking for information regarding Thomas Haake's snare on the original release of Nothing, so that's how I ended up there. Then I became curious about Misha's music, as he was posting in the forum.
