FoxyAlphaRogerTango give it a read though. It might mess you up mentally, but Grant’s run is what made Doom Patrol interesting for me. I would also recommend Gerard Way’s run (my personal favourite, though I’m also a huge MCR fan so....), that specific run is like Morrison-Lite and a bit of that pop punk feel.

The final season of teen titans never aired where I live, so I only got introduced to the team in BtBatB. Needless to say, they left and impression when they... uhm... blew up... Yeah, didn't see that coming.

While I didn't see the first episode yet, I saw the first scene from the first episode, as well as some bits and pieces of it. While the Doom Patrol did have many iterations, it seems that at least in terms of choice of bad guy, the fact that they chose a bizzarre character as Mr. Nobody (played by Alan Tudyk, who is an insane actor in his own right) means they are possibly going with the iteration of GRANT MORRISON, which makes me very happy and looking forward to see this series

You´re wrong about the actors not being the same in the Titans episode and in the Doom Patrol show, tho. Only one different actor. The Chief is now played by Timothy Dalton (former James Bond, also from the Rocketeer, Penny Dreadful, and many more actually) All the others are the same actors as in the mentioned titans episode (brendan fraser, matt bomer, april bowlby, etc.)
