As a certified zoomer who's fallen in love with melty, and desperately struggled to get her friends into melty, I wanna throw my thoughts/experience in, even if I know its all a funny haha I dont think melty is really a game you look at. I think melty is a game you feel. even in Lumina at the start right now, even someone as "generic" as akiha feels powerful. you move and fight with her and you can feel her strength and terrifying aura in your hands. Melty Blood, while its designs can get ragged on pretty easily, sells characters via feel better than any other fighter imo. You feel akiha's judgement and mentality. you feel the darkness lurking right underneath kohaku's facade. Melty blood is a game that you feel, not see imo (even though I do like the designs alot ^^;)
