THANK YOU for the shout out! ❤ Days Gone has a very special place in my heart, and I am so grateful to be a part of such an awesome community of fans and creators. Talking with John about DG1 and what he had planned for DG2 was an incredible experience, and he generously shared so much information about the game and the planned franchise! You might be interested in the interviews with developers Jeff Ross and Eric Jensen, as well as actors Sam Witwer, Jason Spisak, Bernardo de Paula, and James Allen McCune, as they also revealed a lot of insight into the creation of DG and some of the content that was cut. Thanks again, and keep up the good work!!

I got the game on my PlayStation Plus on my PS5 as a part of the subscription. I loved it so much I put it on my PC and purchased it for 50 bucks as a thanks to Bend studios for producing such a cool game. I truly think the slow start building it to the hordes was genius. I've heard people complain that it took too long to get to the hordes. I get it but being a part-time gamer as a 52-year-old father this escape has been exceptional. Again 450 hrs is quite the feat. I love the ideas he had for the story. A 3 part trilogy done right would be great. Especially if the story grew narrative wise based on even the smallest choices you make. As with all sequels naturally the zombies would have to evolve and become more of a threat. Then push the remaining survivors to the brink of breaking and pit them with difficult choices that actually mean something to those who survive those choices. Really wish we could have a Days Gone sequel and trilogy.

@OniZombies The interesting thing is that you get a "peek" at this idea in DG1 itself when you are doing those "shitty forced stealth missions". In one of them during a conversation between the White suited scientists and the yellow suited guards they talk about how the zombies are not only skipping millions of years of evolution but how some of the mutated zombies are wearing cleaner clothes, don't smell as bad and actually put on jewelry like watches and other items. Then when you see Obrien at the end of the game it starts to make sense with this new information by the original lead Devs and how they envisioned the series progressing. It made me think a lot about the possibilities of what those zombies would look like and how they would act physically in a fight.

The Days Gone movie is most baffling. You generally have a movie or show tie in with a game you think has a fanbase or a game that at least is ongoing and you want to pull new players into. Studios being forced to chase a Fortnite style live service game will be the death of the industry as we know it. Sony is the perfect example. Wanting to release 12 live service games in hopes that at least one of them would be the next Fortnite or Destiny. Instead just focus on 1 live service game and make it great, so you have your cash cow. Then use the money you would've wasted creating so many live service games to fund the single player games that everyone wants. It's like they don't get that gamers are really only willing to support a few great live service games at a time. Instead they want to flood the market in hopes of one of em retaining a player base.

Along with stopkillinggame movement could really affect these live service games to be changed for us to enjoy in the future. I would rather not waste 5 years of development. Sony biggest issue is the lack of games that have come out, and the price of the system hasn't gotten cheaper in 4 years. Only more expensive with savings to making them. So, Sony profits are high, but gamers are being charged more, getting less.

I mean DG sold 8 million copies as of 2 years ago. It made like 300 mil. Sony is nuts for not expanding on it.
@bamban_garcia55629 ай бұрын
@@LexLutha How many of those sales were full priced purchases though cause if most of those 8 million came when it was marked down already it most likely did not bring as much profits to justify expanding upon it like say God Of War Ragnarok selling over 5.1 million copies within it's launch week on top of passing 11 million months after it came out

@@bamban_garcia5562 man I think DG was a better game than Ragnarok and HZDFW. It got review bombed from the jump. That didn’t help.

Days Gone is in my top 10 games of all time. Only beat out by like Final Fantasy 9, Mass Effect Trilogy.

I want game companies to start making more games like this with coop options. I miss the days of playing through a campaign with a friend or two. Dying light was amazing in in that way, days gone would’ve been sweet too.

I honestly feel like days gone will get a sequel from their fiscal earnings the game made a a lot of money at the time and they know it has a loyal fan base I just think it might just be one of those sequels that gets released 10 years later

If there would be the possibility of Days gone 2, if the movie ever comes out we all need to watch it in theaters in opening day at least twice each just so we can at least catch Ben Studio or Sony's attention. We litterally have to throw money at it as that is all they care about.

What we could have if only they would pitch it to the correct studio. Days gone has had such a huge resurgence, hands down one of my top favorite games ever. Fingers crossed we get a sequel/trilogy
@davidnainggolan67635 ай бұрын
They should make a Days Gone spin off that is smaller than the first game and reusing the last game’s engine and assets and adding new assets.

If miss Ripley could persuade the director then maybe we can get the sequel 😂

We know damn well it got cancelled they confirmed about a year ago when they compared it to ghost of Tsushima, didn’t preform nearly good enough for a sequel

I will want to see more story of sarah and deacon, she been working on cure, and that thing was completely ingored in first game, sure he tried, she was about to give up, deacon told her to try again, and that basicly it, I will want to se more of their story, how they/she trying to find cure, O brain ending just gives me so much hopes for days gone 2, the way how first game ended it just speaks it want sequal. Sure first game didnt been finished form what I can see, I know there should be more weapons, I think like story should get some dlc, or story expansion . I just feel like story was not fully finished , I feel like there should me much more regards their story and as far as I can survire some not finised weapons, Story feels uncompleted , still one of the best game !When played for the first time Im still in hope they will make sequal or fix first game but I think there is more chances to get sequal then devs will actually fully complete first game. If ever days gone 2 will come I really hope it will not have multiplayer, this game is really amazing but I dont think its really needs multiplayer, well at least not for me
