question please why when the Bone downturn or shrink the gum olso shrink why doesn't stay in it place ? why the gum follow the Bone recession ? why does not regenerate (the Lost gum and Bone )

Hi Dr Choi My bottom teeth have some gum recession and one particularly bad but my usual Dentist didn't suggest gum grafting. She only suggested filling that area with fillings? Is that correct and why do you think she didn't mention grafting? I am seeing another Dentist that offer grafting. I hope that is the right way to go. Because I rather have my gums repaired. Thanks

It’s also poor diet. Poor diet can cause gum recession

Thank you Dr. for the info. I have gum recession on my bottom front teeth. My teeth is crowd there especially one teeth gum is recessed a lot and my Dentist told me to extract two teeth and make a bridge b/c the bone of almost 3 teeth is lost is that a good option? I am going to lost 5 natural teeth

Why do you lose bone after the gump recedes ? Is it because the bone is now exposed and wear away from brushing without the protection of the gump anymore ?

When the gump recedes, do you actually lose the gump tissues or the gump tissues just shrinks like bones in the elderly people ?

Braces for 5 years 13 to 18 didn’t go back for retainers… now 59 year old, extreme teeth grinder.. grrr… experiencing GERD heart disease but still healthy, grrr… upper 6 teeth left might have 2 additional extractions, grr. Yes my dentist in my first cousin, Doesn’t mean he does a good job, lol not laughing
